Chapter 57 - Teased

I nodded at him but stopped when I heard...

“Hey, why do you have snacks and we don’t,” Flirt whined as I rolled my eyes at him.

“Maybe because my brain was actually working when we had to bug out of the bunker,” I told him, bragging a little.

“Oh, no you didn’t, girlfriend,” Flirt said in a high pitched voice, sounding, somewhat, like a seal on crack as he grabbed his chest.

I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw the men almost rolling on the floor. “Don’t call me girlfriend. What if I want to be the boyfriend?”

Flirt gaped at me, looking like a fish out of water. The men were still rolling as Madrid and Matheus looked amused. “Was it something I said?” I asked sweetly, fluttering my eyelashes. I had seen it done by one of the whores and it looked so unbelievably stupid that I almost laughed at her. I felt as if it applied here, so sue me.

I was waiting on Flirts come back but I think he was still trying to process what I said. So, of course, I added, “Cat got your tongue.”

I walked back over to Matheus and Madrid, a devilish grin on my face. I was waiting for Flirt to say something or notice that I had walked off. I whispered to Madrid, “How in the hell did he pass the tests?”

“I’m starting to think he has hit his head too many times,” Madrid added bemused.

“Alright, we need to get going. Flirt you and Eagle will wait for one hour and fly towards our coordinates. I’ll send them to you again.” Madrid cut his eyes to Flirt. “Considering Flirt’s is brain dead at the moment from Selina’s wit and winning personality.”

Matheus started passing out the clips for our weapons as Madrid passed out the MRE or ready to eat meals. I liked the meals but I would also eat about anything except brussel sprouts. The men groaned when they were given their packaged meals.

“Sissy’s,” I muttered, wanting them to hear me. I, once again, was given jaw dropping looks. “What? If you can’t eat all the food in your packs then you can’t go play.” I snickered at them and walked away. I put my extra clips in my rucksack, making sure I had all the blades I could carry with me. I threw in the meals and grabbed a canteen and shoved it in the side pocket of my rucksack, one I had sewed in myself.

I waited for the men to finish getting their rucksacks packed. I was tapping my foot and not realizing it. I was ready to get this over with. It wasn’t going to be easy to get into a position to take the sentries out but it could be done.

I was startled out of my thoughts with one word - explosives. I couldn’t believe I forgot about the explosives. I guess I had too much brain overload with all the new gadgets. I walked over to Matheus and asked him about the explosives. He looked at me and smiled. I knew everything was set. He had the explosives in his rucksacks. Wait! Rucksacks with an extra s? No, not going to happen.

“I have room in my rucksack for explosives if you want to leave one of them here..” I trailed off when Matheus leaned toward my ear. My breath hitched as I waited to see what he would do or say. I didn’t have long to wait.

Matheus kissed my cheek and whispered, “I have extra toys in my bag that Madrid doesn’t know about.”

I smiled, a huge secretive smile, and nodded. Ha! Take that boys. I get extra toys, I thought. I was excited to see what Matheus had in his big bag of toys. I was grabbed, causing me to yelp out of surprise.

Yeah, surprise not fear.

I hit a hard chest and started rubbing circles on it. I was hugged harder as Matheus rubbed circles on my back. He grabbed my chin softly and raised my face a little. He then kissed the bejesus out of me. I needed air, I needed closer, I needed further apart from him. I needed a bed. Wait! What?

Rawr purred. ”Oh, yes, a big bed where we can finally do the dirty.”

I growled at her, not realizing I growled out loud until Matheus took a step back from me. I looked at his face as I realized I growled out loud and everyone heard me. “Stupid, jaguar,” I mumbled.

Matheus shook his head. “Mine too. He’s such a perv.”

I thought about going to the bathroom before we left, only to remember I had the body armor on and I didn’t want to get undressed again. I decided I didn’t care I needed to go before we left. I looked at Matheus, trying hard not to do a pee-pee dance. He caught on quickly. He whispered in my ear, telling me about a flap at the crotch of the suit where I can go without taking my whole suit off. I quickly ran to the bathroom and shut the door. I didn’t see it when I was putting it on and took a while to find the opening but when I did I felt like an idiot. I peed, washed my hands and quickly made my way over to Matheus.

“Our we ready now?” Madrid asked me. I shot one eyebrow up and nodded. “Let’s get gone.”

Matheus walked quickly to the panel and typed in a code and scanned his eye. He pushed open the door, motioning for us to go first. We all stopped at the next door to the outside as Matheus put in the code. The column rose up and he scanned his eye. The wall slid noiselessly to the side, opening the stairs to the outside. We moved quickly up the stairs, each of us grabbing big gulps of air. Cats didn’t like to be closed up inside if we could help it, and being under the ground was even worse. The only thing to keep our mind off the claustrophobic feeling was Matheus’s toys.
