Chapter 55 - Monster Planning
Holy, shit! He has TNT - a high explosive.
I was going through my mind, trying to remember what I was taught by Antonio. High explosives were more powerful than primary ones. I remember the high explosives detonated within millionths of a second. I wasn’t sure I wanted to mess with the high explosives.
I turned back towards the bricks - the primary explosives and remembered they were set off by using a spark. Which meant blasting caps and a lead line or electrical detonator were used to ignite the explosives
I sure hope he wasn’t planning on using these explosives while we were in the vicinity, the shock waves alone could kill us. But, if they were...No! It was too dangerous.
Matheus walked in the room. “Can you give me a hand with the blades?” He asked. He had a smile on face, one which induces women to drop their panties, me included. I nodded my head.
We walked into the, what I thought was large, humongous room. “Holy, shit! I thought the HELO would be small,” I exclaimed, walking closer to the HELO. I was impressed with room but what sat in the middle of the room was more impressive.
I walked around the whole HELO and looked inside. Whew-boy, this was going to be fun for Flirt. There were gauges for missiles, grenades, guns. And who knew what else. It was a flying weapon. And, I was immediately jealous of Flirt and Eagle.
“You like?” Matheus asked me.
My eyes lit up and my body felt as if it was vibrating. “I like. I want to fly this HELO when we are done with Barbosa.”
“You know how to fly?” He questioned excitedly.
“Yep.” I looked around the HELO. “What did you need help with?” I couldn’t see anything he would need help with.
“I don’t need any help. I just wanted you to be the first one to see my HELO.”
I jumped at him, hugging him for dear life. I kissed his lips and took a step back. I was embarrassed but he was my mate and he knew me too well. I was excited to see anything else he had built. “Do you think I can help you build gadgets when we are done with Barbosa?”
“Oh, God, yes. I love how your mind works and you would be an asset. Plus, working together I will be able to kiss you when I wanted,” Matheus told me as I blushed a light pink.
I took a step and kissed him again. “Good. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I couldn’t train or be around weapons. It was the only thing Barbosa had done right. He let Antonio teach me.”
Matheus nodded his head. He tilted his head to the side. “Did you just call him Barbosa instead of the monster?”
“Yes. He’s not the monster anymore, we are. I can’t keep the idea of him being a monster. I’m going to turn into the monster of his worst nightmare. But, only for this mission, okay?” I raised an eyebrow, waiting on his answer.
“Okay. I’m glad you don’t call him the monster anymore. It shows you are not going to freeze up when you see him,” Matheus whispered.
“I haven’t seen him yet. Who knows if will freeze or not. But, I’m damn sure going to be pissed. It should help with our fight,” I confided.
He nodded his head, walking back over to the large door and opened it up. “If you want to see the HELO you better move your asses.”
I snickered and watch the men run in and stopped dead, their mouths hanging open. Again. The men slowly made their way to the HELO, eyes wide with awe. They walked all the way around it and looked inside. They were shaking their heads and muttering to themselves.
“Matheus, you’re going to have to show us what each of these controls are for. We know some of them but you have more in here other than the gauges for flying,” Flirt commented as he was sitting in the pilots seat.
Matheus walked over to Flirt and Eagle and started explaining everything. He repeated himself a couple of times, making sure Flirt knew what each lever was before them. “Do I need to put sticky notes on them for you, Flirt?” Matheus asked teasingly.
Flirt laughed at Matheus. “Nah, I’m good.”
I looked at Madrid as his mouth was hanging open. I knew he was going crazy with Matheus's HELO.
I walked over to Madrid and bumped my shoulder into his. When he looked at me I nodded my head towards the HELO and smiled. “I’m going to get to pilot the HELO when we take out Barbosas compound.”
He smiled at her and bumped her shoulder back. “Not before me,” he drawled.
“Oh, really?” I smirked at him. “Matheus?” He looked over at me. “Who gets to pilot this bird first?”
“You, why?” I smiled at him.
“Ha!” I said to Madrid. “Told you.”
“Hey, I should get to go first,” Madrid whined.
“You’re not my mate.” He smirked at Madrid, knowing he wouldn’t say anything different and smiled at me.
“But, I’m your friend,” Madrid whined again.
“Hey, I thought I was your best friend,” all the men added at the same time.
“All of you are still not my mate.” Matheus crossed his arms over his chest and smirked at the men’s faces.
I had never seen grown men pout. It was funny to see. Everyone of them had a devilish looking face, looking at me and pouting. I shook my head and grabbed a rifle. I wanted to be smooth when I loaded the cartridges. One mistake could cost us a life. And, I was unwilling to lose anyone.
“Alright, the HELO ready and will be standing by-”
“-sorry. Can the HELO be detected by radar? Because he has the capabilities to find you-”
“-it’s cool. They will never see our Shadow bird. It’s quiet, loaded with a shit load of weapons and has a button you push to jam their frequency. I think we’re okay.” Matheus smiled at me.
I was floored. He knew exactly the moves Barbosa would implement. “What about missiles. He has a few from yours truly” I pointed at Madrid. “He may have more than a few by now.” I was worried about the missiles. I didn’t want anyone...
“I have another switch to send up a huge heat signature. It will keep the missiles off the bird. I forgot something. “He ran to the wall in the northeast corner of the huge room and opened up a panel. Something slid out of the wall.
