Chapter 54 - Amazement
I growled. “I’m not marrying all of you..” I trailed off. “I meant, forget it.” I blushed and turned away from the laughing hyenas.
“Uh, the arrows have their own, uh, crap! I don’t know how to explain it.” Matheus walked over to a corner of the bunker, walking back with a clip.
“How the hell are arrows going to fit in that?” Flirt questioned as we all laughed, thinking the same thing.
“The arrows fold up, expanding as they come out of the barrel. I worked on this for five years. It was a trial and error thing, with the error part costing me a lot of skin,” Matheus explained as we looked at him in awe.
“I need to see about getting you a raise. I don’t want anyone else scooping you up,” Madrid exclaimed.
I raised a brow as the men laughed. I noticed everyone looked at Matheus in awe. It was cute, making me want to go shut the men’s mouth closed. I was a little awestruck myself but I wanted to see the explosives. Yet again, I was giddy about getting rid of the monsters men. I cleared my throat and watched as the men shut their mouths.
“That was a little creepy, guys. Do I need to leave you to get better acquainted with my mate?” I laughed as their mouths dropped open again.
“No!” They all yelled.
Matheus cleared his throat. “I think we need to go to the range and make sure you know how to load your weapons and fire them. It will be a little different from a regular rifle.”
“You have a range here too?” Madrid exclaimed as he muttered unintelligible words as we looked at Matheus incredulously.
He nodded his head and pushed on another wall. The vault like door opened with ease. Matheus motioned with his hand for us to go in. I don't know why I surprised at all his inventions but I loved his mind.
I walked in and gasped again. Holy cow! This was awesome and I was totally unprepared at the large room. He had set up a gun range, an area for bow practice or in his case, a firing range for arrows. I turned and walked over to a few dummies. As I got closer I noticed the dummies were singed but not burnt. So, this was a range for the flamethrowers, cool.
“Let me show you the clips. They all have symbols marked on the clip. If you feel it you will notice what I’m talking about.” He threw clips to us as we checked the clip out. “Can you feel the symbols?”
I nodded my head. “This one is for arrows.” We handed off our clips to each other. “This one is for the flamethrower.” Matheus nodded his head at me, smiling a beautiful smile. What the actual hell? Why am I thinking like this?
"Because our mate is a fine looking piece of work. Look at him, isn’t growl worthy?" Rawr gushed. I rolled my eyes at my jaguar as she showed me scenes of us making love.
“Quit, Rawr! I need to concentrate!” I growled out at her.
I looked back up, noticing the guys went quiet. I pulled my radio out and listened but there wasn’t any talking. I looked behind me, seeing no one was behind me. I looked at the guys again as they stood their and smirked. “What?”
“You do know you were talking out loud with your jaguar, right?” Dragon teased.
I turn beet red, walking to a corner and hiding my face as the men laughed. I felt a hand on my arm, knowing who it was before I put my weapon back up in my sleeve.
“Are you okay, Selina,” Matheus asked me.
I nodded. “My jaguar is perverted,” was all I could say.
He laughed. “So is mine. Let’s get back and practice these weapons. I still need to put the helicopter back together.”
We walked back over to the men as Matheus handed everyone a weapon and the clips. We followed him to the gun range. He showed us how to load the different clips in our rifles. As soon as we were all proficient we started the shooting part of it. It wasn’t hard for us when it came to firing. The rifles were easy to line up with all the gadgets on it. We headed over to the bow target area and started to get comfortable with the arrow part of the weapon. We were shocked at how fast and powerful the arrows were. We finally headed to the flamethrower part of the range. We lined up and shot out the flame, making us stare in awe at how far the flame went.
“Oh, this could be fun. I will love surprising the idiots with this,” I told everyone as they all nodded their heads.
“Okay, if you want to practice a little more go ahead. I have a helicopter to put back together,” Matheus explained.
“How in the hell are you supposed to get a helicopter out of here? You can’t exactly fly it out of here,” Madrid exclaimed.
“Uh, yes I can. But, I will leave you to wonder how as I put the HELO together,” Matheus muttered as he walked over to another huge room.
“I hope you put it together right. I don’t want to fall out of the sky,” Flirt chirped.
I could see Matheus getting mad and glaring at Flirt. “When have ever failed to complete a task, Flirt? Think about it. I have never failed a task set before me,” Matheus growled out.
I walked over to him and kissed his nose. “Calm down, Matheus. He was only picking on you. You need to relax. This will all be over soon and we can spend time together, okay?” I soothed. He nodded his head and walked over to the huge room, giving Flirt an apologetic look.
I walked over to the explosives. I wanted to see what kind he had and how hard it would be to set up. He had the clay bricks of explosives - a primary explosive. I turned to my left and looked at the next explosive type. Holy, shit! He has TNT - a high explosive.
