Chapter 46 - Smelly Cats

I took a deep breath and let out a sound of a macaw. It was loud and it startled the men by Matheus, causing Matheus to duck back into the trees and the men to run towards the tree I was in. Notice I said was. As soon as I screeched I had moved three trees back. The other macaws took up the song I started, causing the men to cover their ears. I almost sent another call but decided the other macaws were making enough noise as it was.

After the men walked off I radioed Matheus and the other men, telling them what I heard on the radio I had stolen off the first body. We all agreed to wait for the teams to meet up. We didn’t want any of our teams hurt, not when we still had a lot of others we needed to kill. I waited until Matheus returned to my side and pulled out some beef jerky, giving him some.

"Isn’t he dreamy,” Rawr asked, sounding like a love sick fool even though she was right.

I mentally rolled my eyes at my jaguar, wondering if it was a good idea to ask for her name. I mean, she was a lot of fun so far but I was sure I would be getting a lot more mental images of what she wanted to do to our mate. I wanted to throw my hands over my eyes every time she would get next to him. Talking about a dirty mind.

“What are you thinking about?” Matheus asked quietly.

"Yeah, Selina, what were you thinking about?” Rawr chirped.

“I was thinking about how perverted my jaguar is,” I answered truthfully, blushing profusely. Who blushed anymore? Oh, yeah, me.

“Well, don’t we have a pair made for each other. My jaguar is perverted too,” Matheus added, blushing a little.

Well, how about that, Matheus blushes too.

We sat and ate our jerky, waiting on the others to meet up with us. We sat quietly and watched our surroundings. We were ready to go after the monsters men. The more we took out the better it would be. We were lost in our own thoughts, watching the men walking past us and looping around to come by us again.

I was watching my surroundings when I felt someone else moving toward us. I moved my body causing Matheus to give me a questioning look. I didn’t say anything, waiting for the men I knew where coming up behind us. I moved at the last second, putting my blade up to Warriors throat.

He reared back and I pulled my other blade and threw it above Flirts head. He ducked down, looking at me as if I was bat-shit crazy or plain mean. I’d take either one.

“Shit!” Warrior quietly said. “How did you know where I was? We used our training. No one can see us when we want to be invisible.”

Matheus snickered. “Evidently my mate can see you.”

“How did you know what tree I was in?” Flirt asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

I crossed my arms over my chest and looked at both of the guys. “I can’t tell you. If did I would have to kill you.” I paused and smiled. “Antonio taught me to feel my environment around me. It has never steered me wrong.”

“We need Antonio to teach us when he’s back. Selina’s good. Very good,” Warrior stated, looking impressed.

“We need to move a few trees away from each other. We can catch them from the front and back. Oh, and if you hear a very loud macaw...don’t worry it’s a signal from Selina and she’s really good at it,” Matheus informed Warrior and Flirt, smiling like a maniac.

“Let’s do this,” Warrior interjected quietly as he moved to climb into another tree.

Matheus leaned over and kissed me on the lips, giving me a hug and telling me to be careful. I nodded my head and moved up higher in the foliage, fading into the tree. I wanted to see if the guys could see me. I was confident I could become a ghost and they wouldn’t see me. They needed to train using their surroundings. I knew Antonio would be teaching them soon. He was their best bet. I loved their faces when I put my blade to Warriors throat and threw my blade over Flirts head. They were surprised, their jaws open in an ‘O’. Wish I would have taken a picture, but I ditched my phone at the monsters compound, not wanting him to trace me by using my phone.

"Look, our next band of idiots. Could they smell any worse?” Rawr sarcastically said, sniffing as if her nose was in hell.

“Actually, yes. I smelled a lot worse from these men. Now hush it, I need to take these idiots out,” I informed my jaguar, scanning my eyes for more men.

I looked to the farthest tree, watching as Matheus slithered down it and took the last man in the group. Next, I watched Flirt flip himself behind the tree. He had foliage pinned to his jungle hat. He reached out and grabbed the next to the last guy, covering his mouth and slitting his throat. He dragged him a couple hundred feet and covered the man. I watched as Warrior waited for the next man in the back, exploding out of the ground quietly, covering the mans mouth and stabbing him in the heart. He walked backwards, carrying the man off into the forest.

I watched for the other two men, knowing there would be another man coming. Flirt moved back into position as I walked behind the two idiotic men. They never looked behind them, not once.

I shouldered them out of the way and stood in front of them, turning around to face them.
