Chapter 44. Creator of All
*Adalith*
It had only been a few days and the child was growing exponentially. Tomorrow she would be introduced to the mortal world as a Princess and there were some immortals that were not happy about her existence. They also weren’t happy about my favor to her and Hephaestus. They could deal with it. I entered my realm. It was a beach that looked out over an eternal sunset, always the perfect temperature and the water always warm. I decided I wanted a company, so I became two. This why they call me Adalith. One half of me is Adam, or fate. The other half is Lilith, or destiny. Most of the time we are one and the same, but when I wish to not be alone, we separate for a time. A lounge chair was along the beach. We laid down on it, with a long sigh.
“We’ve been working more than normal, Lilith.”
“Well, that’s what happens when creations think they know best, Adam.”
“That is very true, Lilith. Maybe it’s time to intervene for real, more than just giving a bond.”
“What is on your mind, Adam?”
“Should we snap it?”
“No Fate. We’ve given the mortals of that world hope. It would be awful to steal it now.”
“We could offer them sanctuary, Lilith.”
“We could, Adam, but what would that really do in the long run?”
“It would give more time to perfect the creations.”
“The creation is perfect, Adam. The ones that created the creation aren’t perfect.”
“But that’s exactly the creation that needs to be perfected, Destiny.”
“Why not simply elevate their creations, Fate? Why not make selected good souls into the new Titans?”
“You know, Lilith, that’s a brilliant idea. Should we start with her?”
“You know how she feels about being a deity, Adam. I think the only reason she would accept it is to save her people or to save Hep.”
“That is true, Lilith. But what if she did accept? Selene wouldn’t disappear, but she would be able to live more peacefully with her love instead of having to be the chief Goddess of the Moon.”
“So you think she should be Goddess of the Moon and Night, Adam?”
“I do, Lilith.”
“Then make it be.”
“I think I shall.”
Everything went quiet then. Adalith, we are the same person, but two different people. One creator with one goal that works hand in hand.
“We need to summon them here, Adam.”
“Which of them do you speak of, Lilith.”
“Thea and Hyperion, Adam.”
“Then summon them, Lilith.”
I opened a portal for them to come through. They were lovely creations as always, hand in hand, walking through the portal. They were some of the few bonds I created among the deities. I would rather not bind family to one another, but when you’re given only so much to work with from the start, it’s hard. But these two were meant to be.
They bowed before me, and I waved a hand to bring another lounger for them to occupy. They both sat. “You summoned us, God of Gods. How can we serve you?” They spoke reverently.
“They speak as if they are truly loyal, Fate.”
“They are Lilth,” I responded to Lilith first. “You two have offered your services of protection and teaching to the young mortal Princess that will attempt to protect your daughter, Selene. That is why I called you here.”
“Were we not supposed to, Creator?” Hyperion queried. A look of worry swept across Thea’s face.
“You did everything you were supposed to, child. Do not worry. I will be there tomorrow. You will too. Hephaestus will be there as well. Alke is training the children and will be there. But there is much more at play here. There is a grand scheme I have in mind, and I am about to tip the scales. I need to know though if any of my Titans will try to fight me as I, what would you call it? Shake up the universe.”
A smile of understanding spread across their faces. “We will follow Adalith to all ends, accomplishing the goals requested to protect our children and your creations.” They both gave the vow in unison.
’That is what I wanted to hear. We are going to have some fun now….” I closed my eyes, envisioning what I wanted to happen, letting them see my visions. Fate and Destiny can take many paths to reach an end goal, and that is the quest these two Titans of mine are embarking on for me.
“Adam, will they be able to do it? Gaia herself had issues.”
“They will do it, Lilith. We’ve made it so and it will not be derailed. We’ve been far too complacent in this world for far too long. Now We, the Creator of All intervene. There will be eternal damnation for so many. They will not see it coming.”
