Chapter 36 Time waits for no man
Sarah raised her eyebrows. She didn't expect Brian to change so quickly. However, as long as a consensus could be reached, there was no need to think too much. After confirming the final revised treaty, Emily handed in the contract and Sarah signed it.
Brian took it. "Thank you."
He glanced at Emily's face for two seconds, and then looked back.
"Miss Sarah, if you have any questions about the project later, you can contact me at any time."
"OK, Brian."
Subsequently, Brian personally sent several people to the car and saw them off.
In the car.
The radio broadcast: The latest financial news reported that Ashley, director of Davis's group, successfully won a project of IBM. Let's wait and see what she will do next. The two people sitting in front of the car took a glance at Sarah.
"Drive well."
After a while, the car stopped in front of Davis's company.
Sarah opened the door and got off. Immediately, waiting reporters surrounded her.
"Your sister won the project of IBM. Do you have anything to say about it?"
"It's less than three months since Davis's equity competition conference. How are you preparing?"
"Are you ready for the upcoming equity meeting?"
In the face of many cameras and reporters' questions, Sarah looked cool.
"Get out of the way." Jacob blocked in front of her.
Sarah patted his arm and signaled him to move away first.
"Thank you all journalists very much for working on a scorching day. We'll see the result in three months." After that, she was ready to leave, but because there were too many reporters, she could not move a step.
Emily beside her forced herself in and blocked the chaotic crowd for Sarah. "Please make way."
Some people at the scene kept asking questions, some pressed step by step, and some raised the camera to take the best picture of Sarah.
The accident happened suddenly at this time. Someone in the crowd pushed the photographer and he staggered.
He didn't hold the camera firmly, which was about to fall on Sarah. Emily flashed a little and stopped in front of Sarah.
She gave a stuffy hum.
"Emily!"
Sarah gave a cry of surprise, turned to the tall Jacob behind him, and said, "The camera hit Emily. I'll take her to deal with the wound first. You deal with these problems in the scene." Jacob made an OK gesture.
Taking Emily back to the office, Sarah took out the medicine box and gave her a simple treatment, and made a bandage.
"It's a little swollen. Fortunately, it's just a scratch. Remember to change your dressing change on time."
Emily nodded, thanked her, and left Sarah's office.
She stood in the corridor. Her head was still stuffy, and suddenly light footsteps sounded on her side.
"Here you are." A deep voice sounded, and she was given a pack of ice bags.
Emily looked at Jacob and took over with a daze. "Thank you."
Jacob left.
Looking at the ice bag in her hand, Emily seemed to be less painful, and even the ice bag in her hand seemed to be much warmer. In the office.
Sarah's mind was filled with the chatter of reporters.
It has been half a month since the general meeting of shareholders.
She suddenly remembered something she had ordered not long ago and dialed Daniel.
"Who are you?"
Daniel's voice was hoarse. It seemed that she was awakened by the telephone ring so she was a little impatient.

"It's me," Sarah said concisely.
The next second, Daniel woke up instantly and jumped up from the bed. "Boss, what's wrong?"
"How was your investigation of the matter I asked you to investigate?"
In the face of Sarah's active inquiry, it proved that Daniel's death was not far away.
Sure enough, he couldn't answer, and there was silence at both ends of the phone.
Sarah frowned and tapped the table lightly with her fingers. "Daniel, what have you been doing recently?"
Her cold voice passed through the wireless line, like a speaker stuck to Daniel's ear, which was frightening. "I'm sorry, boss. I've just found out a little bit. I plan to report to you after I finished the investigation."
"I can't wait any longer." Sarah reminded him.
"I know that your grandfather seemed to hold Davis's shares, but I don't know if it's true!"
"My grandfather?"
Sarah seemed to understand suddenly.
How could she forget that although her paternal grandparents were gone, her maternal grandfather lived in Dover for the elderly? The house was bought by her father at the beginning. Since Megan and Tyler got married, she hardly went to see him, nor did she know how her grandfather's life was now.
"Didn't you ask me to investigate the recent contacts of Megan? I found that she called someone in Dover. The person was your grandfather, but your grandfather hung up at once."
His daughter was immoral, and it was reasonable for him to hang up the phone at once.
"Boss, why don't you... try to ask your grandfather first? Even if the older generation didn't like their children, they may like the next generation."
Sarah hesitated.
Did she have to ask for equity from an old man over seventy?
What's more, when she was young, she spent only a few hours with her grandfather. In addition, her father died early and her mother remarried. It seemed that her grandfather felt ashamed so he went to Dover alone. Since then, Sarah has hardly met her grandfather, let alone contacted him.

Sarah sighed.
Daniel received a message at this time. He looked at it and was shocked.
"Boss, are you still there?"
Sarah replied. "Well, what else?"
"My intelligence officers in Dover told me that they saw a woman who bought a lot of traditional Chinese medicine and entered your grandfather's house these days. During the time they were keeping an eye on your grandfather, they never saw your grandfather come out."
"Why didn't you say it earlier?"
After Jacob delivered the ice pack to Emily, he was going to Sarah's office to report to her what has just happened downstairs.
The mobile phone suddenly vibrated, and he picked it up to have a look.
Brian: President, we have found out that the function of these ingredients of the medicine is heat-clearing and fire extinguishing. He was still a little worried before but now he felt at ease in an instant.
As long as it's not bad news, it was fine.
He unlocked the phone, and a reminder came out of the pop-up window of his mobile phone: this Saturday is Joseph's birthday.
In his memory, when his elder brother was still alive. At that time, his young brother didn't look at him indifferently and treated him as his enemy.
He always followed him, shouting after himself: "Brother, wait for me, brother..."
At the end of the recollection, he called Brian and said, "This weekend was Joseph's birthday. Prepare a big gift for me to him. The contract we intercepted last time..."
"Do you want... to return the contract?"
Jacob didn't explain much and said coldly, "Do as I say."
After the order, he hung up the phone and his eyes fell on the blind window beside Sarah's office.
She didn't close the shutters tightly today, so people outside could see the scene inside.
Sarah held the phone in her hand and spoke from time to time with a frown. It seemed that the problems discussed were a little tricky.
He was going to push the door, but it was open.
