Chapter 17 Everything is a fraud
Megan wears a dignified and elegant dress and has an elegant posture. "Pack up and go home with me."
Sarah replied coldly, "I have no time."
"But mom wants to discuss with you about the company's shares. There are several old shareholders who are going to retire and are ready to hand over their shares." Megan smiled, and her eyes were full of calculations.
This condition is very tempting for Sarah. She now needs more shares to stabilize her position.
"How do I know if you're kidding me?"
"I won't. I'm giving you a fair chance to compete with Ashley." Megan persuaded.
Sarah wanted to see what Megan will do. "Jacob, get the car."
Megan got into her car and sat alone in the back seat.
Sarah sat beside Jacob, with one hand on the window, looking out at the scenery.
The traffic lights at the intersection suddenly flickered red, and Jacob stepped on the brake.
People in the car lean forward because of inertia.
Jacob's arm stopped Sarah's body, preventing her from falling forward. "Sorry, are you all right?" Sarah shook her head. "I'm fine."
Megan, sitting in the back seat, glanced at the two people.
What's the origin of this bodyguard? She wonders.
When Sarah arrived at Davis' home, she realized that it was all a hoax.
She was like the child in the story of the Wolf Is Coming, believing someone again and again.
"Sarah is back. Come and sit down. Let me introduce you. This is Nicholas, young master of the Miller family."
Megan hardly gave her a chance to leave. She put her hands on her shoulders and pushed her to sit down on the sofa.
Sarah frowned unhappily at the man who was as thin as firewood and showed a mouth of yellow teeth when smiling.
"Mrs. Miller, this is my eldest daughter. Isn't she different from the picture and much more beautiful?" Megan introduced her to the lady who was wearing expensive clothes beside her. Mrs. Miller nodded with satisfaction. "It seems that she looks good enough to be worthy of my son."
In words, she is especially confident.
Sarah glanced at the smiling man, but could not see where he looked good.
"Sarah, it took me a long time to invite Mrs. Miller and her son to come. You should know many people in Raleigh are eager to have a relationship with the famous family."
Sarah said coldly, "Since there is such a great thing, it is better to let Ashley marry. I have the intention of not marrying."
"How can that be done? There are no men in the Davis family. That is, the elder sister is like a father. If you don't marry, how can I find a good husband for Ashley?"
Megan was displeased, and she looked at Sarah with a little more profound meaning.
At this time.
Nicholas looked at Sarah and his eyes were full of obscenity. He said with a clear voice, "The second lady of the Davis family is good. But it's estimated that there are a large number of young people waiting in line to date her, so I won't join in the competition."
Megan murmured to Mrs. Miller, then got up and said gracefully, "Sarah, come with me."
When her eyes touched Jacob, she instantly changed her expression. "The bodyguard doesn't need to follow in. This is our family business. It's inappropriate for you to listen." Hearing this, Jacob has no reason to follow in.
In the living room, Jacob vaguely hears the conversation between Nicholas and his mother. The content is related to Sarah.

On the sofa, Nicholas saw that Megan was not present and no longer pretend. He lay back on the leather sofa.
"Mom, the Davis family is getting worse every day. As long as I marry Sarah, isn't the Davis Enterprise also mine?"
"It's up to you to decide this matter. In a word, you can't let Megan take advantage of you. Does she want to sell her daughter in this era? Oh, it's ridiculous."
Not far away, Jacob's face became cold.
No wonder the two families choose to join hands.
He took his cell phone and dialed a call.
In the dining room.
"I advise you to be obedient, or you will never know where your father's grave is!"
Megan held his head high and stared at Sarah.
Sarah stared at Megan angrily.
"Are you really my mother?"
Megan was about to answer. The phone rang in her pocket, interrupting the conversation between them.
"Oh, really? That's great." She said with an ecstatic smile.
The call was from Jones Enterprise's employee and he agreed to sign the contract that was going to be signed with Miller Enterprise.
"By the way, we hope Miss Sarah will be responsible for this project."
Megan repeatedly assured that there was no problem, but her eyes were filled with anger.
Why is Sarah always recognized by so many people?

Megan changed his face. "Sarah, your father's cemetery is in the Fushou garden in the north of the city. If you want to go, go and see it. Light a candle for me."
"Do you deserve it?" Sarah hissed coldly.
Father was killed because of this cruel woman. Why should she help her light candles?
"You!" Megan's eyes widened in disbelief, and she didn't expect Sarah to be so resolute. "Sarah, why didn't you listen to my explanation of what happened in those years?" Sarah didn't answer. She got what she wanted to know, turned to leave and was stopped by Megan.
"What's the matter?"
"Jones Enterprise just called and said that you have the excellent working ability and that they are ready to cooperate with us. You should continue to work hard. Davis Enterprise will be yours sooner or later."
Megan has a false smile on her face. "Sarah, what I did before to you was because I was angry with you. Since your father left, I have been under great pressure to take care of you and your sister alone, so I found another person to entrust me for life."
"Hypocrisy."
Hearing this, Megan immediately became embarrassed.
Sarah was very disappointed with her mother's fickle attitude.
Was she a recyclable thing in her heart?
She laughed at Megan from the bottom of her heart and turned away.
Just out of the corridor, a thin figure stood in front of her. "Miss Sarah, let's talk."
Looking at the beautiful white woman in front of her, Sarah showed a disdainful and explicit smile.
"Sorry, I have nothing to talk to you about. It's inappropriate." She uttered a cold voice, planning to leave.
Nicholas wanted to reach out to stop her, but he was blocked.
"Mr. Nicholas, please respect yourself." Jacob's eyes focused tightly on him.
