Chapter 16 Unexpected visitors
Sarah walked to him and looked at him wonderingly.
The silver moonlight outside the window fell into the room. Half of the man's body was covered by shadows, and his expression was not clear. "If I didn't ask for leave today, you won't be hurt."
"It has nothing to do with you. You don't have to blame yourself." Sarah said faintly.
In her opinion, this is just a trick by Ashley to take advantage of her weakness.
At ordinary times, Jacob used to be cool and self-restraint. This time she heard the guilt in his voice. She could not tell what she felt.
"Maybe it's because of my past experience, so I have some empathy."
Jacob said coldly and put the unopened cigarette case on the table.
Sarah is so keen that she immediately realized that Jacob was going to expose his scar to comfort her.
She shook her head, "I'm all right now. Besides, I've faced death..."
Suddenly, she realized that she almost said something she shouldn't tell, so she immediately stopped.
"Death?" Jacob looked at her as if to find out more.
"It's nothing. It's just that when I face a scene I've met before, I'm still so hopeless."
Sarah bent over to pour wine, obviously unwilling to talk about it in detail.
"Here you are." She turned around and handed another glass of juice to Jacob.
However, she didn't get out of the mood. She was flustered and spilled the juice directly on Jacob's chest.
"I'm sorry."
While talking, Sarah pulls out a paper towel and rubs it on his chest.
Jacob's Adam's apple rolled and grabbed Sarah's wrist. "Well, Miss Sarah, I'll do it myself."
Sarah looked up and looked at his eyes of Jacob. The time seems to be static for a few seconds.
She calmed down and stopped rubbing. "Here, give you, I go to my room."
Dropping the tissue, she trotted upstairs.
The living room turned silent again. Jacob looked at where Sarah sat and smiled slightly.
In Sarah's room.
Sarah is lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling and thinking about what happened in the living room just now, and her heart beats faster.
She felt sleepy so she covered the quilt and soon entered the dream fragrance.
The next morning, the sun just appeared.
Jacob got up early and bought breakfast after the morning exercise as usual.
Just after his arrival, Sarah had already dressed up and went downstairs.
Seeing Jacob, she greeted him with a natural face, "good morning."
"Good morning." Jacob raised his eyes and recalled the events of last night in his mind.

"Don't tell others what happened in the company yesterday."
She pretended to be confused as if nothing had happened, and said, "Ashley played tricks on me in the warehouse. I need to master enough evidence first, and then revenge back." Jacob didn't know what to say. He put the bag on the table.
"I'll go up and take a shower. You can eat while it's hot."
Sarah said yes faintly and kept silent about what happened last night.
At this time, the doorbell outside the house rang.
Sarah got up and walked towards the entrance. When the door opened, she wrung her eyebrows.
"Why are you here?"
