Chapter 1599
Chapter 1599
He tried to call the number, but it did not exist. Therefore, even if he looked into it, he would not be able to find the address and the owner of the number.
Tommy was provoking him!
“Tommy, if you dare to touch her, I'll smash you to smithereens!
"You seemed to be very angry.” Tommy put away his phone and stared at her face. "Anne, say my name."
"Tommy, you can come at me, but why did you harm the Hilton family?" Anne could not keep calm when she thought of that.
Beth and Marshall were innocent, yet they died such a horrible death! Why must he go to such lengths?
"How am I the one who harmed the Hilton family? You're wrong about me.’ Tommy expressed that he was innocent.
"Tell me how I'm wrong about you then, or are you saying that Beth's and Marshall's death were caused by someone else?’
Tommy knew she was trying to trick him into telling her. He put on a smug smile, stood up, and poured himself a drink in front of the wine cabinet.
"I can only say that Beth and Marshall were unlucky.”
Anne glared at Tommy's back. She truly wanted to make a hole in his back by stabbing him. However, she still had not reached her goals, and there were still plenty of questions unanswered. Tommy still could not die for the time being.
Tommy turned around with two glasses of wine. He glanced at her, then he walked over and handed a glass to her. “This is a good wine. Try it."
Anne looked at the wine in front of her and said, "How can I know if you've put drugs in it?"
"So you're planning not to take a sip of water from now on?"
Of course, Anne would not do that. She did not want to die.
Suddenly, she reached out and grabbed Tommy's hand.
Tommy was confused by her reaction.
Then, he saw Anne pulling up her sleeve and rubbing her wrist against the back of his hand with all her might.
His skin was stained with fluid that formed a line.
Upon doing that, Anne turned her wrist over. Her skin was already oozing fluid from the ulcer. Tommy immediately knew Anne's intentions.
"Keeping me by your side is just putting yourself in danger,” Anne mocked him.
Tommy looked at the back of his hand calmly. "Have you forgotten who I am? I am the creator of this virus. I have the cure that all of you have been thinking about.”
"Give me the cure."
"That depends on if you're obedient or not.” Tommy extended his hand to touch her face.
It took great restraint for Anne not to cut that hand off.
"And what do I need to do for you to give me the cure?”
"You haven't finished the mission I've given you in the past, have you?"
Anne instantly thought of what mission it was-kill Anthony.
However, she wanted to say very badly that she would not kill Anthony in the past, and she would not do it in the future, either.
If that were what he meant by being "obedient’, she would rather die by Tommy's side.
"Don't worry. I won't ask you to kill him anymore. I'll arrange another mission for you. After all, I have fewer and fewer assassins now, and you were the best during the brutal killing back then. If I picked you, the mission would be a hundred percent success.”
Anne did not want to kill at all.
She had no choice when she was on the deserted island back then. She had to survive.
At that moment, her environment had changed, and all she wanted was to live a peaceful and quiet life.
"Do you have an answer yet?"
"I agree,” Anne wanted to appease Tommy first.
She wanted to stay by his side, but once she found the cure, nobody would be able to control her. She believed the mission that Tommy would give would be to kill as ordered by clients, just like how it was before.
That was the only way the assassin group made its income.
Assassinating one person could fetch millions of dollars, and they might even make more. It all depended on the net worth of the target.
Tommy picked up the wine glass from the coffee table and handed it to her. "Looking forward to a pleasant cooperation with you."
