Chapter 18.

Dolores Ortiz is sitting at an outdoor dining table on her patio near her swimming pool. An open manila folder is open with a small binder clip holding the papers together with the folder. Dolores has never wondered why it is called a binder clip and not a binder clasp… But the papers flutter in the spring breeze. Important scientific papers about the Zed retro-virus and the Rhesus antigen factor. A small bottle of Death Berries sat next to her salad plate. She was bent on sowing the seeds of death.

“There is no data on the side-effects of these Death Berries and their interaction on people with Osborn Curse.” She says to her son Michael and her valet who is not a Zed or has any opinion about the preservation of Humanity by not becoming a Zed.

Dolores’ personal chef came out with a plate of pasta with a pesto sauce.

“I prepared the pesto with some of these Zed Death Berries as you requested,” he began to speak placing the plate down with his right hand to the left side of Dolores. “If there is a virus inside the berries the cooking process would kill this virus. Freezing or boiling kills germs and viruses. And with that in mind, I sprinkled some fresh death berries over the pasta like one might add fresh cracked pepper.”

“Thank you…”
