One Amazing Trip To Garzon

Chapter 5: Carlyle's Plan

Nervous! That was how Jason and Tyler felt. They were anticipating what their new friend Carlyle was about to say to them. They were so relieved that he had thought of a possible way for them to get home. The only thing that they weren’t aware of was just how dangerous it was going to be. They were hoping for the best but were expecting the worse. All they could do was listen to his plan and hope for some good news that it wouldn’t be so dangerous, but in the back of their minds they figured it would be a difficult task.

“So what exactly are we going to have to do?” asked Jason, scared of what Carlyle was about to tell him and his brother.

“Like I said earlier it isn’t going to be an easy task and there probably isn’t going to be a great chance of everyone surviving it. You know what, maybe we should put this idea behind us and I will try to think of something a little bit safer for us to do,” said Carlyle who was really starting to doubt the safety of his plan.

“We haven’t even heard the plan yet and we can’t just wait around here waiting to be killed, we need to get home now!” said a furious Jason who was determined to at least hear the plan he had. “If you don’t tell us your plan then we are just going to have to leave and try to find someone who can help us.

Tyler was very shocked by the way that Jason had spoken to Carlyle with such authority. Usually he wouldn’t talk to someone like that especially someone he just met, but he was realizing just how much Jason wanted to get back home. He wanted to get back there as much as him and Jason was showing it by his actions.

“I realize how much you guys want to get back, I just don’t want to tell you guys something that could possibly get you killed, that’s why I want to try and think of something that will be a safer route first. If I can’t come up with anything better I will give you this plan.”

Tyler was starting to feel like Jason was in that he was just determined to go home no matter what it took.

“Can you please just tell us your plan, if it is too dangerous then we can try and come up with something else, but right now we need suggestions and that is obviously a suggestion,” Tyler demanded.

“Fine, I will tell you guys then. Well you know how I mentioned I worked on spaceships correct?”

“Yes,” Jason and Tyler replied, eager to find out what he was going to say next.

“I believe that there is a slight chance, and when I say slight I surely mean it, that we may be able to get into the plant and take a spaceship. It will mean going to the place that I said I never wanted to go back to ever again.”

“Are you sure that we are going to be able to do that, how hard is it going to be?” asked Jason who was anxious to hear the rest.

“It will be very hard. First off we will have to buy three Lightning guns, which I will explain to you guys what they are. It probably isn’t like a gun that you guys are thinking of. What it does exactly is it takes the suns’ rays or it can also take in the light of a room that is well lit and shoots out a beam of light. It doesn’t kill the person that it shoots, it just stuns them for about twenty minutes. It stuns you to where you can’t move or do anything but you are still very much alive, you just aren’t able to move your body. The only problem is that if used incorrectly, it could be used as a deadly weapon. You will be okay if you are shot by it only a few times and it is really only meant to be shot at a target once but of course some people don’t have the discipline and just keep shooting if they are really mad. If someone is shot by the Lightning gun, normally about ten times, but varies from person to person, then it will kill you without a doubt because your body cannot take in all the shots at once. The biggest problem is that for you guys since you are a lot smaller than anyone here, it might only take five or six shots to kill you. Even worse news is that if we go in there shooting everyone in the building, they are going to shoot to kill. If we do go ahead with this plan, just shoot once and stun the person, there is no reason to kill them and I will only need about ten minutes to get the spaceship into the air and out of sight, so that will give us time to work while everyone is stunned.”

This plan seemed quite impossible. Jason and Tyler both couldn’t believe that there was a chance they were going to have to go and do this.

“Have you ever been shot by one of the Lightning guns and does it hurt?” asked Tyler.

“I have been shot once and it doesn’t really hurt nearly as bad as you would think. It hurts about as bad as a bee sting maybe, but that isn’t anywhere close to imaginable as an actual bullet. The reason I was shot is that I got caught up in the middle of an argument between two people and was hit by it accidentally. After being shot you are just motionless really. I couldn’t talk or move but I was still able to breathe. After I was finally back to normal, so to speak, the guy who shot me apologized about hitting me and apologized to the person he was arguing with earlier. I am just fortunate that he didn’t go crazy and shoot me multiple times.”

“How many people are we going to have to stun, because if there is too many of them then there is going to be a lot better chance of them hitting us then us hitting them?” asked Tyler who started to breathe heavily thinking about the idea.

“There are quite a few people who work at the plant altogether, but in the part where we are going there is probably only ten or so, maybe even less. There were about ten people who worked in my department when I worked there, but I think they might have even cut down on the amount, so there might be only seven or so. By the time the people from the other parts of the place figure out what has happened it will be too late for them to do anything because we will already be thousands of miles away from Garzon.”

“Hold on a minute, you are telling us that ten people isn’t a lot? That is a lot of people and I really don’t like our chances if there are going to be ten of them and only three of us,” said Jason.

“I might have mentioned it was going to be very difficult. There are a few good things on our side though. These Lightning guns do not make a sound, so even after you shoot somebody, nobody will be able to tell the person has been hit. Also you can only see the Lightning guns beam of light in the dark which shouldn’t be a problem since the place should be well lit. The light from the Lightning gun should blend in with the light in the room. Another good thing is that you guys are pretty small so it will be a little tougher for them to spot you guys and easier for us to spot them. As long as we can sneak past the gate and get inside the building they won’t be expecting something like this to happen so they won’t be prepared and if they end up seeing us it might take a minute or so for them to reach their Lightning guns and shoot. Stealth will be our number one key in this mission more than anything.”

Even though it seemed like it could be done, Jason and Tyler figured it to be impossible. They realized that the chances of both of them being alive, or really either one of them being alive, would be tough. It was true that Tyler had a pretty good shot, but he had never handled or heard of this type of gun, and as for Jason he wasn’t so good at shooting. The only thing he had ever been good at shooting was a basketball.

“The first thing that we need to do in order to go on with this mission is actually buy the guns themselves. I will go out and buy them while you guys stay here. It will also probably be a good idea if I get you guys some clothes to help you blend in and a hat or mask to help shade you guys from anyone who might notice. There is plenty of food to eat in the fridge so help yourselves and feel free to watch T.V. As I am walking I will try to think of a different plan that will be easier for you guys to get home, but it looks like this is going to have to be the way to do it though. I’ll see you both in a little bit,” said Carlyle.

“Later,” said Jason and Tyler together.

As Carlyle left to go out and purchase the items, Jason and Tyler sat down in Carlyle’s house and began to watch T.V. They were wondering what it was that they watched on this planet.

“Wow, I cannot begin to imagine what we are about to do in a little bit, it seems unreal,” said Tyler.

“Yeah us rushing into a place and shooting everyone just like you would see in a movie is just crazy. Luckily we won’t actually kill anyone which is good because I don’t want to have to think about that. The only part that is different from a movie is we have a good chance of dying. At least for you, as he looked at Tyler, you have got a way better shot than I do so it will be a little easier for you than me.”

“It is going to be crazy and I have never aimed at a real life target,” Tyler admitted.

As they flipped through the channels on a remote that was connected into his couch which both of them felt was really cool, they found a movie that was supposed to be comedy that took part in what looked to be outer space. Unfortunately for the guys it was in a different language, probably Garzonian. While people here could learn their language, they couldn’t learn theirs so they just turned the T.V. off and waited for Carlyle to get back.

After about twenty more minutes Carlyle returned with some new things in his hands.

“I had to look in the young kids department to find your guys’ clothes since you are both smaller than everyone here but I finally found some that should fit you,” said Carlyle as he handed them their new outfits.

Both of their shirts were plain silver shirts with nothing on them and the shorts that he had bought them appeared to be khaki shorts that you would see on planet Earth, except instead of being a color tan, they were longer and what looked like a metallic black.

“These clothes are so comfortable, and they look pretty cool as well,” said Jason as he looked down at his new clothes.

“Yeah they are really nice,” said Tyler whose clothes were just a little big on him.

Then after they had changed into their new clothes, Carlyle took out and showed them the Lightning-guns that they would be using.

“Whoa, those are really nice looking,” said Jason as he looked at the three brand new guns.

They were all of the color silver which seemed to be the theme for this place. They also had a dark blue color to them where you would hold the handle. Since it took in light and didn’t use bullets there wasn’t a clip. The gun felt very light but sturdy.

“Is this the scope or something?” asked Jason who was pointing to a part on the gun. “It looks the same as some guns on Earth that have got a red laser pointer on them.”

“Yes, as you guys are trying to aim you will want to look through that hole instead of a seeing a red light which you might be accustomed to seeing, you will see a yellowish tint because it takes in a light or the suns’ rays. The best part about it is that the person you aim at won’t be able to see the laser that you are pointing at him as the special light is only visible to the person who is shooting the gun.”

“Sounds really cool,” said Tyler.

“Well, I guess this is it then, are you guys prepared for the biggest fight of your lives?” asked Carlyle.

“We are ready,” Jason and Tyler said simultaneously as they were getting set to sneak into the CZSA with the determination of making it back home safely on their minds.
