Off-Ice Collision: A Grumpy Sunshine Hockey Romance (Wyncote Wolves Book 8)

Off-Ice Collision: Chapter 30

Vaughn thrusts inside me and I moan into his mouth as he simultaneously steals the air from my lungs. Instinctively, I wrap my legs around his back as he continues to slide in and out with a tenderness he hasn’t shown me yet before. There’s nothing but emotion driving him right now and I’m caught up in it all.

“You take my cock so well, baby,” he murmurs against my mouth as we momentarily come up for air. “You were made for me.”

“We were made for each other,” I moan as he thrusts into me again, this time with a little more force. He strokes my insides with his length and I feel him everywhere around me. He invades every single sense as he crawls into my heart and makes himself a home.

“Fuck, I’ve missed you, London.” He drops his face down to my neck as he presses his lips to my flesh. “So.” Kiss. “Fucking.” Bite. “Much.” He runs his tongue across the marks he just left along the side of my throat.

He slides his hands back to my thighs and eases my legs away from his body. I stare up at him in confusion as he slowly pulls out of me. A ghost of a smile plays on his lips and he begins to make his way down my body, licking and nipping at my flesh until he settles between my legs.

“I miss how sweet your pretty pussy tastes on my tongue,” he breathes, lightly blowing against my flesh. Inching forward, he presses a soft kiss to my lips. Vaughn looks up at me as he buries his face in between my legs. Pressing his arms against my thighs, he spreads me wide as he runs his tongue along my center.

Sliding my hands through his hair, I grip it tightly as my face screws up. My eyelids flutter shut and I press my head back against the cushions that we’re laying on. Vaughn knows exactly what to do with that deadly tongue of his. He plays me like a skilled musician, creating the most perfect melody.

It doesn’t take long before he’s driving me closer and closer to the edge as he works his tongue against me. He alternates between flicking my clit with the tip of his tongue to sliding it along me. He thrusts his tongue inside me and warmth floods my body as my hips involuntarily buck.

He groans against my pussy as he sucks my flesh into his mouth. His lips are soft against mine but his tongue is brutal. The blankets have since fallen away from us and the storm continues to rage outside of the tree house as he fucks me with his mouth. Alternating between licking me from bottom to top and flicking my clit, he has me a panting mess as I arch my back.

His fingertips bite into my flesh as he grips the insides of my thighs tightly. I’m climbing as he continues to push me closer to the top. With every stroke of his tongue, I feel myself getting closer to the edge of the cliff and my hips fight against him as he keeps me pinned down. There’s a gust of cold air and my skin prickles from both the chill and the sensation of him tasting and teasing me.

He rolls his tongue against my clit and I feel the warmth building in the pit of my stomach. “Come for me, baby,” he murmurs against my pussy. “Give me all of you.”

My chest heaves as my breathing grows shallow and ragged. A moan escapes from me as he suctions his lips around my clit while simultaneously working his tongue against the bundle of nerves. I’m on the brink of my orgasm and I can’t hold back anymore. Vaughn applies more pressure and rolls his tongue once more before I’m free falling over the edge.

My orgasm tears through my body as it hits me at full force. I’m floating in the abyss of ecstasy, completely lost as I moan his name. My body shakes and I try to clamp my thighs around his head but he continues to hold me down as he laps my pussy with his tongue.

I’m still riding the waves of my high as he lifts his head away from my center. His chin is wet with my arousal and he doesn’t bother to wipe it away as he climbs back up my body. I taste myself on his lips as he kisses me deeply, his tongue tangling with mine.

“You’re fucking perfect, London,” he breathes against my lips as he thrusts his cock back inside me. “Tell me you’re mine, baby.”

“I’m yours, Vaughn,” I moan as he pins me down on the cushions, thrusting in and out of me. “I’ve always been yours and I always will be.”

“I fucking love you and this sweet pussy. The way you suck me in and out. So fucking tight, clenching around me in a vise grip,” he growls, nipping at my bottom lip. “You’re it for me, London. You’ve ruined me for anyone else in this goddamn world.”

He picks up the pace, his balls slapping against me as he pounds into me harder. He slides his hands down to cup my ass as he lifts my hips into the air, giving him deeper access.

“Oh my god, Vaughn,” I moan his name as he fills me to the hilt. “Fuck me until you fill me with your cum.”

“Always, baby,” he promises before capturing my lips again with his own.

I’m so lost in him, but I know it won’t be long before we’re faced with reality again. Moments like these are fleeting, but I plan on hanging on to every fraction of a second that I can.

“I love you, London,” Vaughn murmurs against my lips. “I will never love anyone the way I love you.”

“And you’ll never have to,” I tell him breathlessly. “You’re all I see, Vaughn. You think I’ve ruined you, but you’ve got it all wrong.”

He shakes his head at me. “No, baby. You’re in my soul and I’m never going to let you slip away.”

My lips part, but he silences me with his tongue as he drives his cock deeper into me. He doesn’t stop until he’s losing himself inside me and I’m shattering into a million pieces around him. I’ll never get over the intensity of our connection.

And I’ll never get over him…

The rain has begun to slow down, yet we’re still tangled up together with the blankets wrapped around us. It’s as if the universe decided it was time to bring us back down to reality after riding on the high of one another.

“It looks like the storm has finally passed.” Vaughn’s voice is strained and barely audible as he runs his fingers through my hair. “I should probably get you home.”

I’m silent as I lay in his arms, soaking up the affection and closeness from him. I know that all of this has to come to an end the minute we leave the island and head back for the mainland.

“But I don’t want to,” he whispers, his lips brushing against my forehead.

“I don’t want you to either,” I admit, my tone matching his. The pain is evident in my words, but there’s so much more behind what just happened between us. “But we have to go back, Vaughn.”

He pulls away from me, just enough for his bright blue eyes to search mine. “What if we don’t? What if we just stay here forever?”

“I wish,” I murmur, reaching up to cup the side of his face. “We both know that isn’t realistic.”

“I know,” he breathes, a wave of pain crashing in his ocean eyes. “It’s a nice thought, though.”

“This doesn’t have to be the end between us, Vaughn,” I tell him, my voice soft and reassuring. “After everything that has happened, I haven’t given up on you. I haven’t given up on the thought of us, but things have to change.”

I have to change.”

“I need to know that you’re serious. You’ve been coasting through life since your accident with no real plan. I don’t need you to have your entire future planned out, but I need you to show me that you have some idea of the direction it’s going in… and that you actually want me to be a part of your future.”

Vaughn’s eyes desperately search mine. “Of course, I want you to be a part of it.”

“Then I need you to show me that you are committed to changing it. No more of this self-loathing, going-on-benders shit. It’s time to grow up and make adult decisions.”

Vaughn stares back at me as he falls silent for a moment. He nods. “I know. I have a lot of work to do, but I’m determined. I will show you that I can be the man you deserve, that I can love you the way you deserve to be loved.”

“Can I be honest with you?” I ask him, my voice tender as it wavers slightly.

Vaughn nods again. “Always.”

I swallow hard over the lump lodged in my throat. “In a way, I feel like we’re in two different places in life, and that’s not what I want. I want us to be in the same place, both knowing what we want and reaching toward our dreams. Just because you can’t play hockey doesn’t mean you can’t have new dreams. For this to work, we need to be on the same page.”

“I’m trying to figure that all out,” he admits, his voice quiet. “Don’t give up on me yet, baby.”

“Never,” I tell him, and I mean it. “I will never give up on you, but I won’t wait around forever. My feelings for you—they’re stronger than anything I’ve ever felt before. I love you, Vaughn Carter. Even if you are a moody, broody asshole. But sometimes, love isn’t enough. You have to get your shit together.”

He falls silent as he stares directly at me with nothing but determination in his eyes. “And I’m going to. I’ve never been more dedicated to something before, because that’s how fucking much you mean to me, London. I would never expect you to wait for me and I won’t keep you waiting long.”

His words fill me with hope, but I know how hope works. It’s easy to build someone up with words, but actions are what really count. Following through and showing that you really mean everything you say.

“I believe you,” I whisper as we begin to untangle ourselves from one another and collect our clothing from the floor. I instantly miss his warmth and begin to shiver as I put my damp clothes back on. He’s worked his way into my soul and I never want him to leave. “I’m giving you a chance to show me you really mean it.”

“And I do, baby,” he promises me as he holds his hand out for me. I slide my palm against his, our fingers lacing together. “You’ll see.”

He leans over, blowing out the candles we had lit before he leads me out of the tree house and back to the Jet Ski. The ride back to his dock feels like it takes two seconds, rather than the eternity I want to spend here with him. Just like that, we’re back to reality and having to go our separate ways.

The party has since ended at my parents’ house and there’s a mess left for my brother to clean up in the morning. All the lights are on in the house, but it looks fairly vacant at whatever time it is now. Vaughn walks me up to the back door before pulling me against him.

His lips are soft against mine as his face dips down to meet my own. He kisses me slowly, and it’s a painful goodbye as he pulls away. A rush of cold air replaces his warmth and I fight the urge to pull him back to me.

“Get some sleep, London.” His voice is soft but his words are laced with pain. “I’ll see you soon.”

Words fail me as I watch him walk away from me. I know this is what he needs—it’s what we need if we ever want to have a relationship that will work.

But fuck… it hurts even worse this time.
