Notice Me Darling! by Cheap Treasure ( Natalie Shepherd ) Chapter 35
Chapter 35 Never Tried to Believe Her
Henry stood beside her in silence. His gaze was fixated on the document before Natalie.
What was this?
Natalie was equally puzzled. She didn’t pick it up right away. Instead, she asked, ” What is this?”
“Have a look,” Owen flashed a gentle smile at her.
Only then did she pick it up. After going through the papers, she put it back on the table again.
“Grandpa, Grandma, I can’t accept this.”
Owen and Moira intended to give her one of their houses. How could she accept this?
Initially, the Shepherd residence was already sold to pay off their debts. Thus, she wasn’t even eligible to accept any compensation if the house was demolished.
Owen gazed at her sincerely as he stated, “Henry was responsible for the demolition of the Shepherd residence.
“When your father is released from jail in the future, he will still need a place to stay, won’t he? Just take the house. It’s yours.”
Moira chirped in as well, “Yeah, just take it. You’ll just have to sign at the end of the document.”
Meanwhile, Henry’s gaze was fixed on Natalie. She must be putting on an act. Deep down, she must be thrilled.
She could get a house because of this. This was too good to be true, yet it was happening.
Natalie shook her head, still holding onto her decision.
“When my father is released, I’ll find him another place. I can’t get the Shepherd residence back in such a short amount of time.
“Even if the house wasn’t demolished, there’s no way my father could stay in the house after he’s released.
“Natalie, if you refuse to sign the papers, we can’t get over it,” Owen said sullenly, his eyes filled with guilt.
“Grandpa…”

Natalie frowned in distress.
“Just sign it. Otherwise, we can’t even sleep through the night peacefully,” Moira pleaded as she sighed.
Clenching her fists, Natalie finally decided to pretend to accept the house.
Otherwise, if this burdened Owen and Moira too much to the extent that their health was affected, she would feel extremely bad.
After thinking it through, Natalie took the papers.
She gratefully said, “Alright, I’ll bring this back and sign it. Thank you so much, Grandpa and Grandma.”
Henry snickered. He knew she couldn’t resist accepting the house. Just like what he expected, it was impossible for her not to be materialistic.
Meanwhile, Owen and Moira were overjoyed when she accepted their offer. They beamed at her.
Owen turned around and gave Henry a look.
His tone became unpleasant as he snapped, “Drive Natalie over to the house. It’s the one in the suburbs.”
Henry froze as he realized his grandparents intended to offer Natalie their house in the suburbs.
That was their most valuable property, and its market value was way higher than the Shepherd residence.
“Grandpa, if you’re thinking of compensation, let me handle it,” Henry shot at cold look at Natalie as he retorted, “The Blue Ocean Group has plenty of property.
Moreover, it was his fault. How could he let his grandparents bear the consequences?
Yet, Natalie had the audacity to accept the offer.
However, Moira scolded him immediately, “Shut it! This is our decision. You just have to comply.”
Owen had already handed the keys over to Natalie.
“Natalie, let him bring you to the house first.”

Hoping that everything would just end on this note, Natalie took the keys and smiled as she said, “Alright. Grandpa, Grandma, I’ll get going now. I’ll pay you a visit next time.”
“Yes, come visit when you have time!”
After flashing them a smile, Natalie took her leave.
When Owen saw Henry was still not budging, he raised his cane.
“What are you waiting for? Hurry and keep up with her!”
He was usually sensible. Why was he so dense now?
Only then did Henry follow Natalie reluctantly. When they were on the road, Natalie could sense that he wasn’t in a great mood.
She remained silent as well, with the document in her hand.
It was until a sudden brake broke the tension. The car halted at the side of the
road.
Without looking at Natalie, Henry said coldly, “Get out.”
Natalie glanced around briefly and thought he was really skilled at finding places. to stop. He would leave her in such a remote place every time.
Seeing as she didn’t get off immediately, Henry snapped sarcastically, “What? Are you really expecting me to bring you to the house?
“If you have a conscience, would you still accept the house?”
Just as Natalie was about to speak, she was interrupted by him again.
His tone was indifferent as he continued, “Don’t you ever go to Grandpa and Grandma and pretend to feel wronged.”
When did she ever pretend to be wronged? Natalie felt helpless. Why would he always find a way to accuse her of something that she had never done?
“I’ll compensate you with a house,” Henry said defiantly.
A sense of discomfort washed through Natalie.
She stared at him and said, “No need for that.”
Lifting his gaze, Henry stared at her. He was starting to get impatient.
What was she implying? Was she planning to take advantage of the situation? He only had that much patience for her.

“Return these papers to Grandpa and Grandma when you have the time. And here’s the key they gave me earlier on.”
After Natalie left these things with him, she got out of the car.
She stared coldly at Henry, sounding particularly distant as she said, “I wasn’t even planning to take their offer in the first place.”
As expected, he never tried to believe her. He would always instinctively think of her as someone who was despicable and greedy.
Natalie knew this was a fairly remote area. Yet, she wasn’t going to get in his car since it would ruin her mood.
Thus, after lashing back at him, she slammed the car door shut.
Henry stared at the document and the key, which had been on the front seat for quite some time.
He suddenly felt a lump in his throat, making it difficult for him to breathe.
Was what she said true? Was she not thinking of taking the house from his. grandparents? Could it be that he had misunderstood her?
Henry thought it wasn’t a big deal, even if he misunderstood her. However, he couldn’t help but feel bad about it.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened when he saw Natalie walking along the
sidewalk.
Should he let her back into the car?
Yet, he found it impossible to invite her back in the car. Instead, he resolved to drive slowly beside her.
He thought to himself, “As long as she stops me, I’ll let her back in generously.”
