Notice Me Darling! by Cheap Treasure ( Natalie Shepherd ) Chapter 32

Chapter 32 He’s Going to Regret It

However, Natalie forced herself to retract her gaze. After all, she was still aware

that Sheldon was beside her.

“Let’s go. We should eat first.”

Sheldon saw how desperate she wanted to go into the store.

He smiled and said, “There’s no rush. We can go in and have a look.”

“But… you’ll have to bear with me…”

Natalie was slightly embarrassed.

Sheldon interrupted her right away and said casually, “No worries. I still have the patience for this.”

Natalie’s heart skipped a beat. In fact, all she wanted wasn’t something

materialistic.

If Henry had accompanied her patiently after all these years, she wouldn’t have lost all hope in their relationship.

“Okay… it’s only going to take a while.”

Natalie smiled and stepped into the maternity store.

The things sold in the store were too adorable for her to handle. She couldn’t bring herself to move away from the store display.

Looking at her smile, Sheldon couldn’t help but ask, “How long has it been?”

He knew about her pregnancy from Leslie. At the same time, Leslie also told him about what happened between Natalie and Henry.

Leslie only told him in the first place because she wanted to let him know Natalie was in a difficult position. She wanted him to help her out.

However, even if she didn’t tell him, he would offer a helping hand. After all, Natalie was very talented in architecture.

Besides… Well, only he would know the other reason why he wanted to help her

out.

“I still have five months until delivery.” Instinctively, Natalie’s fingers brushed past her belly gently. Her eyes were gleaming with anticipation.

“I wonder whether it’s going to be a boy or a girl.”

Sheldon gazed at her lovingly.

“Do you want a girl or a boy?”

Natalie blinked as if she was pondering on the question.

Natalie suddenly thought of what happened last year. She was showing Henry a couple of celebrity baby photos.

She remembered asking him, “Henry, look at the baby. Isn’t he adorable?”

Henry’s gaze only swept past it. He didn’t say anything.

However, Natalie didn’t stop.

Instead, she continued, “When we have a baby in the future, would you prefer a boy or a girl?”

She was staring at him with great anticipation. Yet, her heart sank when Henry stared right back at her for quite some time, not uttering a single word.

“There’s no way that’s going to happen. Natalie, we won’t be having any kids.”

He was so cruel.

“Have you decided?” Sheldon asked cautiously after not receiving an answer from her for quite a while.

Natalie immediately regained her senses and forced a smile.

“I prefer a girl.”

Sheldon nodded in approval as he chirped along, “I like girls, too.”

Although Natalie still had five months until her delivery, she couldn’t resist the temptation to buy some baby clothes for her child.

With the bag in her hand, she thought to herself, “Honey, please be healthy. Mommy can’t wait to meet you.”

After they left the maternity store, they went to have a meal together. Little did they know their photos were being taken. Moreover, these photos were delivered to Henry promptly.

Henry was playing pool with Leonard at a club.

Leonard walked around the table with the pool cue in his hand. He approached Henry and took a quick glance at the photos on the table.

“Enough. You’ll burn holes in the photos from all that staring.”

With his lips tight, Henry remained silent. However, he was visibly upset. This man definitely had something to do with Natalie filing for divorce. How dare she go on a date openly with another man when they hadn’t been divorced? This was utterly disrespectful.

Leonard stared at Henry for a while and suddenly remarked, “Henry, do you smell something?”

Looking puzzled, Henry shot a glance at him. “What is it?”

“The smell of jealousy!” Trying to hold back his laughter, Leonard continued, ” The last thing I’d expect is to see you being troubled by love. Is this real?”

Henry grabbed a cue stick, threatening to hit Leonard with it.

“Don’t be absurd! And what’s with me being troubled by love? There’s no way that Natalie has something to do with this!”

Leonard dodged swiftly and continued playfully, “You couldn’t stand her being with another man, yet you didn’t dare to take the initiative.

“How can you just send someone to stalk her? You’re such a coward!”

Henry bent over slightly and aimed the cue at one of the balls. The ball went right into the hole.

He stood up again and said indifferently, “Sometimes, there’s no need for me to take the initiative. In the end, the one I lay my eyes on will still be mine.”

Are you talking about Natalie?”

Leonard really enjoyed meddling with their affairs.

He couldn’t imagine Henry, who was usually aloof and distant, would actually fall for someone.

And for that, someone to be Natalie, whom he usually looked down on; what a sight it would be!

The thought of Henry regretting his choices with Natalie crossed Leonard’s mind. After all, Natalie used to be after Henry.

Henry shot an impatient look at him.

“Can you stop bringing up Natalie?”

“You’re the one who scattered all the photos on the pool table… It would be tremendously hard for me not to mention her, wouldn’t it?” Leonard retorted

Glancing over at the photos, Henry felt even more frustrated. He set the pool cue aside.

Just as he was about to rest on the couch, his phone rang. He picked it up promptly.

“Grandpa?”

“Look at what you’ve done! Henry, you better come back at this instant. Or else, you’ll be sorry!” Owen bellowed at the other end of the phone.

Henry extended the phone away from him.

“Grandpa, are you calling just to scold me?”

“You should know best. I believe you’re well aware of what good you’ve done.”

Henry knew what was up. Owen had probably heard about the Shepherd residence being demolished. After all, he kept a close eye on their relationship.

There was no way that Henry could hide anything from him.

“I’ll explain this to you later.”

“I don’t need your explanation! Bring Natalie to the Chase residence now! We have something to tell her,” Owen ordered.

Feeling quite helpless, Henry replied, “Why can’t you just call her if you need to tell her something? It’s not like she can’t get there on her own.”

“You have endless excuses! Just go when I tell you to! Otherwise, your grandma and I will move out of the Chase residence immediately. We’ll give Natalie the house instead!”

After a firm statement, Owen hung up right away.
