Never Tired of Mr. Leon's Love

Chapter 558

Even Lucy could not handle Matthew's cheesiness sometimes.

"Where did you learn to say that?"

Lucy said in a questioning tone, but she was feeling all sweet inside. Matthew was never good at saying sweet things, so hearing them occasionally made Lucy happy.

"I don't have to learn them from anyone. These words are from my heart."

Matthew's inky pupils carried deep affection, making it hard for Lucy to look away.

"You've been back for so long, but you haven't eaten yet. I'll cook for you today."

"But you've been working all day. Aren't you tired? Let the maids cook something simple. I just need to fill my stomach."

"No, you have to listen to me today. I finally got off work early to cook for you, so you can't say no, okay?"

After Matthew's 'threats,' Lucy had no choice but to watch him get busy in the kitchen.

"Are you sure you can handle this, Matt? Last time, you almost set the entire kitchen on fire."

Lucy remembered the time when Matthew said with full confidence that he could cook, but he almost burned down half the kitchen. It scared Lucy so much that she never let him in the kitchen again. What act was he trying to put on today by going into the kitchen all of a sudden?

Speechless, Matthew did not expect Lucy to bring up that embarrassing incident.

"Lucy, let's not bring up the past, okay? I took some preemptive measures to avoid risks. Instead of using the gas stove, using the induction stove is better, right?"

"Fine, you're always right, but let me watch you. You may not even know how to handle the induction stove."

Initially, Matthew wanted Lucy to admire his prowess in the kitchen, but he did not expect her to bluntly

bring up his past mistakes ever,

he did not mind because he

willing to do anything to make Lucy happy, even if that meant making a fool of himself.

15 minutes passed.

"Oh dear, you're not cutting this properly. You're not even holding the knife correctly, so of course, you're not applying enough pressure!

"And this... Are these supposed to be julienned carrots? They look more like carrot logs!

"If you're going to smash the cucumbers, just smash them directly. There's no need to cut them like this."

Lucy could not bear to watch

Matthew cook any longer. He

seemed like he knew what he was

doing when he was washing the vegetables, but when it came to chopping them on the cutting board, Matthew's lack of skills became apparent as his hands trembled while handling the knife.

Not only did he struggle to slice them into the right shapes, but even peeling fruits and vegetables was challenging for him. "Forget it, Matt. Cooking really isn't your forte."

Looking at the chaos in the kitchen, Lucy could not help but feel sorry for the maids who would have to clean that up later.

Lucy lifted the lid off a pot and discovered a thick soup that was only typically eaten in a certain cuisine, but looking at the chopped vegetables on the cutting board, she could not tell what exactly Matthew intended to make.

"Matt, what kind of cuisine are we having tonight?"

"There's no particular cuisine," Matthew said confidently.

"What are we having, then?"

"We're having my specialty dishes. You'll eat whatever it is that I'm good at making, okay?"

"Okay, okay, you win. But please, just make sure you don't blow up this kitchen."
