Hope

The next morning I woke up with my arms wrapped around Zayn. He was already up and deep in thought. So I inched even closer and kissed his shoulder

“What’s bothering you? Is it our revenge battle?” I asked

“Good morning” His raspy voice warmed my heart. “Nothing is bothering me” He rubbed my cheek softly.

“You know when you hide things from me, even if it’s your way of trying to keep me safe it still makes me feel like you don’t have faith in me” My voice came out almost soft like a whisper. He stayed quiet but turned my way and pulled me closer.

“I have a lot of faith in you. You know that baby” He kissed my cheek before getting out of bed. I got the feeling he was rushing out of bed.

I needed to get up and start my first day as Luna. I also had to catch up on a lot of studying. But first things first, this was Zayn’s first morning as Alpha and I wanted to do something special for him. I heard him start the shower so I went into our kitchen and started preparing breakfast.

I made him everything he likes Bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers and tomatoes. I even prepared the table. Our whole house was adorned with tulips and roses so I filled my favorite crystal vase that Zayn got me from France with red roses and placed it in the center of the table. Which reminded me of the black roses someone sent me I want to know who sent them.

“What is that delicious smell” I heard Zayn ask as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I was lost in my own thoughts and didn’t notice him come in the kitchen.

“I made you breakfast Alpha” I said turning around to face him with a smile on my face. I always smile when I see him he’s just so handsome. He’s hiding something and I will find out what it is.

“Wow baby I didn’t know you could cook why didn’t you just order breakfast from the kitchen?”

“I wanted to make you breakfast myself today is the first day of you being officially Alpha”

“Is that so? He leaned in with a playful grin on his face and kissed the top of my head then sat down at the table.

“I don’t want you tiring yourself order whatever you want and the cooks will make it”

“You don’t let me do anything around here” I rolled my eyes at him and sat down at the table next to him.

“I want to take care of you baby” He reached over took my hand placing a k**s on it.

“What do you have planned for the day?” He asked me while eating

“I want to start my Luna duties other than that nothing much”

We ate together and talked about who he has in mind for a Beta. He wants dad to remain in the position but that won’t happen it’s someone else’s turn now

“Thank you baby everything was delicious. I wish I had time for dessert” He winks at me but have go now I’ll see you later” He pulls me up and k****s me then squeezes my a*s before leaving.

“Always a pervert” I said to him and he chuckles as he walks out to the elevator. Almost as soon as he walked out I heard my phone ringing.

“Hello?”

“Did you get my flowers” a woman’s voice rang through my body giving me the chills. What flowers? I thought to myself

“Yes I did.” My voice came out cold

“Did you read the note?” What note??

“Yes I did” I lied

Have you decided what you’re going to do?” I know that voice but can’t remember the name.

“Alex was my brother and you killed him. And…I should be his Luna not you. I’m an alpha’s daughter. You’re just a spoiled girl. So you see why I’m doing this.” Oh my Goddess I remember the crazy b***h. Stephanie.

“But if you have a noble decent bone in your body meet me and we can settle this. Otherwise like I wrote in my note a lot of innocent people are going to die.” My b***d was boiling I’m going to kill her.

“Tell me where”

“Like the note said at the Enchanted Forest.”

“And if I don’t come?”

“Then there’s going to be a war and many innocent lives will end because of your cowardice.”

Jenna was throwing a fit in my head. I can’t wait to get my hands on this b***h.

“Baby” Zayn called out for me with worry in his voice he rushes into the bedroom and sees me on the phone.

“What time?” I asked no emotion in my voice.

“Midnight come alone” She said and I hung up the phone

“So this is what you’ve been hiding from me?” I asked him “I had to find out from Stephanie…”

“Baby” He tries to take my hand

“Don’t!” I push his hand away. “What was the plan you go meet her then what?” I’m glaring at him. I cannot believe he kept this from me. He knows how much I want revenge for what she did to me. And now I have another reason b***h wants to be Luna.

“Then I’m going to f*****g kill her”

“Whatever you’re going to do I want to be a part of it” I said with my hands on my h**s

“Over my dead body Hope you’re staying here”

“Why is everything a big issue with you?” I yelled “I’m not sitting back while you fight my battles Zayn”

“I said no end of discussion” He says sternly running his hand through his hair. I really wish I could punch his lights out right now.

“No this is not the end of discussion I’m not a child I’m your equal.”

“Hope stop and lower your f*****g voice I can’t do this…”

I cut him off “Why can’t you do this?”

“Because I can’t lose you again” he yelled out and slammed his hand on the wall. I stood still. He remained quiet for a few minutes with his head down then he spoke again. His voice laced with so much hurt.

“Ever since you were taken away I don’t sleep at night” I stared at him and saw raw fear in his eyes. This is a man who fears nothing. My heart broke for him when I felt all his pain. Jenna whimpered in my head. I stepped forward towards him and wrapped my hands around his waist. He pulled me into him.

“Please let me take care of this without having to worry about you. I’ll bring the b***h here and let you take care of her if you want but I don’t want you to leave here until we’re back.” He said bringing his head to my neck.

Zayn

“If you go I’m going to be worried about you” She said softly

“You don’t have to worry about me as long as you’re okay I’m okay…remember?” She put her head against my chest melting into me.

Hope finally calmed down. I hate arguing with her she pushes my every f*****g button, she drives me mad and she turns me into a f*****g animal but I can’t live without her. We came down stairs she went into the private living room to see her parents while I went straight to the office to meet with Matt and Kyle in regards to their attack plan.

This morning our allies had sent over their elite warriors who were given accommodations for as long as they stayed here. Which would not be long I have every f*****g intention of ending this shirt once and for all.

Kyle had already sent scouts and hunters to guard the enchanted forest from a far not to risk being seen.

I was in my office looking over maps when they came in “Did you make sure the patrols inside and outside our territory are increased today?” I asked them both

“Yes patrols have been tripled until further notice.” Kyle answered

I hated the idea of making a trip to the Enchanted Forest without Hope but Brian will be here is capable of taking care of her in case anything should happen. Something did not sit right with me.

“Are you okay?” Matt asked me “I keep thinking that this might be a play to take Hope”

A Luna strengthens her pack and we were already the strongest pack known with our Luna we were unbeatable. So this could be an attempt to take her away again then Edward would use his warriors and rogues to attack us and try to kill me to avenge his son. I leaned back in my seat and took a deep breath. I was determined to keep her safe.

“We have to be ready for anything this is a situation where I refuse to leave anything up to chance. I don’t want to take any chances.”

My brothers and I spent most of the day looking at our territory map to make sure all our borders were heavily guarded . I didn’t want to leave here later without making sure all our borders were covered. We mapped out all possible places and attack routes where the rogues could be hiding. He used rogues to attack once I’m sure he will do it again.

“Okay guys tell me your strategy plan” I ordered

“Okay” Matt looked at Kyle then back at me “They want Hope alone and that’s what they’ll get”

“Matt I don’t like where you’re going with this think of a new strategy” I warned

“Wait just listen you said you want to end this once and for all” Matt continued

“What’s your point?”

“We let them think that Hope took the bait and went alone ” I stood up my b***d boiling

“I know you’re not telling me to send my mate and fiance into the Enchanted Forest alone!” I was beyond frustrated.

“No I’m telling you that you will be there along with all the fighter warriors but we will be unseen. If we show up tonight Stephanie could play it cool and Edward won’t attack or we let them think that Hope actually went there alone and expose their plan. Hope will not be harmed in any way she doesn’t even have to shift. When they see she’s alone they will execute their next move and we will be there to take them down.”

“I don’t like this come up with another strategy”

“Zayn she’s our best option there’s no other way. Any other way will give them the advantage”

“We’re not doing it end of discussion” I stared at both of them

“I want to do it Zayn” I heard Hope say she was standing at the door. f**k.
