My Husband Wants Me Dead novel (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 890

Esther genuinely thought Bradley was sick, and not just a little. Initially, she had planned to confront him after completing her
mission. However, given his recent behavior, the intense showdown between them couldn't wait until the mission was over. -
Today marked Logan Foster's engagement party. When the guests received their invitations, they had been taken aback.
Esther's name was widely recognized. Bradley's obsession with her was known, and another eligible bachelor, Jasper, quietly
observed her.
Esther's decision to engage with Logan again suggested that exceptional men surrounded her. -
With some time before the scheduled event, Paul and Tamara thoughtfully arranged a resting room for Esther, equipped with
fruits and snacks, taking her health into consideration.
She sat on the sofa with her eyes closed and used this moment to contemplate her plans. Should she set a trap for Bradley or
willingly walk into his trap and counterattack?
A rhythmic knocking sound interrupted her thoughts.
Esther lazily glanced at the door and uttered, "Come in."
The door to the resting room opened, revealing a group of elegantly dressed young ladies carrying an air of wealth.
"May we come in?"
Esther nodded slightly.
The girls entered, eyeing Esther curiously. Among them was Melanie Weir, dressed in a striking blue- and-white fishtail dress that
accentuated her figure.
Despite being a woman herself, Esther appreciated beauty. "Is there something I can assist you with?"
Melanie spoke up with a hesitant smile. "Ms. Quill, I... I..."
Encouragingly, Esther said, "Take your time. Speak when you're ready."
"I don't think you deserve Logan."
Esther was rendered speechless.

Melanie gathered her courage and continued. "You're not worthy of him."
It dawned on Esther that these young women did not have kind intentions. However, since she and Logan weren't officially
engaged, their words couldn't wound her deeply.
"But he likes me," Esther retorted and propped her chin with one hand, mischief gleaming in her eyes.
"That's because Logan doesn't know about your past..."
Esther chuckled lightly, her hand over her mouth. "Do you think I'm Bradley's ex-wife just because of my face?"
"Isn't that true?" Melanie asked. "You clearly are! You've been married, you've been to prison, you've given birth. How can
someone like you match up to Logan?"
Logan was a sought-after bachelor in Capitus and had never entertained thoughts of marriage. Even proposals from eager
families had been ruthlessly rejected.
No one expected him to marry Esther.
Esther's smile faded, and she asked sternly, "Did you come here just to tell me that I'm not worthy of Logan?"
