Chapter 889
Bradley's words seized everyone's attention.
Paul, Tamara, and Logan were shocked by Bradley's attempt to use his son to coerce Esther into taking an oath.
Esther was incensed. She approached Bradley and discerned the obsession and possessiveness in his sinister eyes.
With a sharp slap, she rebuked, "Bradley, is my sister's arduous childbirth a pretext for pressuring me to swear an oath? If you're
unworthy of being a father, how can you face Felix? How can you face my sister, who met an unjust demise?"
Instead of reacting angrily to the slap, Bradley smirked slightly.
"Esther, your disguise, no matter how seamless..."
Esther was uninterested in further pointless words. She touched her chest and swore to the heavens, "I, Esther Quill, swear that
I am not Bradley Warner's wife. If I lie, let Felix and I never meet again in this life!"
As Esther swore, Logan's heartstrings tightened. Yet, he refrained from intervening, placing full trust in Esther's sharp wit. He
knew she wouldn't fall into Bradley's trap.
Upon hearing Esther's oath, he couldn't help applauding her quick wit inwardly.
Indeed, Esther was no longer Bradley's wife—they had divorced long ago.
Esther asked coldly, "Are you satisfied now?"
Bradley was aware of Esther's love for Felix and believed he could manipulate her by exploiting her soft spot.
"Are you truly not Esther?" Bradley asked, feeling unsettled.
Esther raised an indifferent eyebrow and countered, "Didn't you witness my sister being pushed into the incinerator?"
Bradley had indeed seen Esther's car plummet off the cliff and witnessed her being pushed into the incinerator.
Yet, he struggled to believe that the person before him was not the one he had yearned for.
"Bradley, do you refuse to admit your role in my sister's death?" Esther's voice turned sharp. "Or do you look at my face and
think my sister didn't die? Do you believe that everything you did to her never happened if she's not dead?"
Esther's piercing gaze unnerved Bradley. He attempted to speak, but Logan signaled for security to step in, creating a firm wall
between him and Esther.
Logan's warm and reassuring hand rested on Esther's slender waist. "Esther, let's go. Let's not delay the ceremony."
Esther replied warmly, "Okay."
Bradley gnashed his teeth and fixed his gaze on Esther's enchanting face. Seething, he muttered,
"Esther, how dare..."
Esther snorted and entered the engagement ceremony venue hand in hand with Logan.
