MY HEART (REUNION OF LEO AND DEO)

Chapter THE TRAP

Adetutu woke up in the middle of the night. Adetutu saw the bag and laptop on the bed but didn’t see the others. She checked the toilet and bathroom for the others but still couldn’t find them then she went out of the room to check if they were outside.

Adetutu came out of the room and saw no one except the car they came with and other people’s cars that were parked. Adetutu walked a little bit forward and then heard the sound of their voices then Adetutu trace their voices to where they were. Adetutu got to where they were and saw them seated on the motel rooftop. Uncle James and Adewale hold a soft drink (can) and polythene nylon beside them which also contain soft drinks. Adetutu sighed and said to the three of them ″uncle, guys, what are you all doing up there?″, and that made them notice her presence and looked at her.

″We are just having fresh air and a little refreshment″ said uncle James (with a smile) to Adetutu.

″And how were you both able to get to the rooftop?″ Adetutu asked Adewale and uncle James.

″You forget we have a god that protects us every time, and he is pretty powerful″ said Adewale (with a smile) to Adetutu.

″You shouldn’t have taken them to the rooftop″ said Adetutu to Fawmus.

″Care to join?″ Adewale asked Adetutu, then Fawmus appeared beside Adetutu (with his speed power) in a blink of an eye, and that made her flinch and smile.

″Would you like to join us, milady?″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.

Adetutu said with a smile to Fawmus ″I would since you asked nicely″.

″Okay″ said Fawmus, and hold Adetutu by her waist.

In a blink of an eye, Adetutu met herself standing on the rooftop with Fawmus. Adetutu almost lost balance as they got to the rooftop and wanted to fall but Fawmus hold her arm. Adetutu said to Fawmus as Fawmus hold her arm ″am never gonna get used to this speed thing″, uncle James and Adewale smiled. Adetutu and Fawmus sat down, Adewale gave her a drink and she joined the fun.

They all spent time talking, joking, drinking, and laughing except Fawmus that didn’t smile or drink, they noticed and asked him why he doesn’t smile. Fawmus replied to them ″nothing. You know smiling or laughing is not my thing″.

″But you did at Kuntapha’s place″ said uncle James to Fawmus.

″I don’t even know how I was able to do that″ said Fawmus.

″There is something am puzzled about though″ said Adetutu to Fawmus.

″Which is?″ Fawmus asked Adetutu.

″Your powers, is it the same with Fawrus?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.

″No. Though we have things in common like strength, can’t feel the pain we inflict upon ourselves, split ones, portal, speed, having the ability to disappear and appear, being able to take any human form, and that’s because we are part of Leo, but mine is water and Fawrus is fire. There are some things I can do that he can’t do, and there are also some things he can do that I also can’t do. Fawrus can’t control water as I do and I can’t control fire just like he can, our fighting skills are also different and his strength supersedes mine″ said Fawmus.

″Why does he say you are no match for him?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.

″My water power doesn’t really like violence. Whenever I use it to fight Fawrus, it is like am using it against its will and that’s why I can’t access its full potential whenever I fought with Fawrus. Fawrus’s fire power is violence itself, whenever he uses it to fight, the fire power keeps evolving into something more powerful and dangerous so it can reach its full ultimatum. And that made Fawrus more stronger and powerful than me. My power can only be used for great and good things, like helping people not fight with his partner which is the fire power″ said Fawmus.

″How are they, partners?” Adetutu asked Fawmus.

″Because they were both fixed together to make a heart″ said Fawmus.

″Am also curious about something. Why didn’t Fawrus just take Adetutu’s body and left with it at the hotel instead of coming to Kuntapha’s place″ said uncle James asked Fawmus.

″Fawrus can’t because Deo’s body that he saw was nothing but emptiness, so he can’t use it for anything. And if Fawrus did take her body, Kuntapha will know and will stop Deo from returning to her body, and Fawrus will have to come and get her spirit himself″ said Fawmus.

″Am kind of worried about Kuntapha″ said Adewale.

″Kuntapha is known to be someone that is very skillful in martial arts and his powers are also incredible. He can even take a god power to keep them in check″ said Fawmus.

Uncle James and the others were surprised to hear that. ″Does that mean Kuntapha can take Fawrus’ power or might even had, then Fawrus will die″ said uncle James happily.

″Yes he can but it will kill Kuntapha″ said Fawmus.

″Why?″ Adewale asked Fawmus.

″The fire power is not like the water. If Kuntapha absorbed the fire power into him, it will know Kuntapha wants to confine it, so it will kill Kuntapha from within because the fire doesn’t like to be confined″ said Fawmus.

″And this means only Fawrus has the chance of killing Kuntapha because Fawrus won’t die as long as am alive″ said Adewale, and everyone felt pity for Kuntapha except Fawmus.

″Yes″ said Fawmus.

″Doesn’t Fawrus have a weakness?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.

″He doesn’t because we can’t feel physical pain but whenever we split we become less powerful compare to a whole us″ said Fawmus.

″We don’t get you″ said Adewale to Fawmus.

″What I mean is that when we split, some of our powers go to the split ones, so we won’t be powerful compared to a whole us. And that was why I was able to last long with Fawrus while fighting him on the trailer truck″ said Fawmus.

″You mean, your powers got shared with the split ones whenever you both created them and that always makes you both vulnerable at that moment″ said Adewale to Fawmus.

″Yeah, but I wouldn’t use the word vulnerable. We are just not powerful to the whole us and once the split ones are killed or fixed back with us our power becomes whole back″ said Fawmus.

After the conversation, Fawmus got every one of them down from the rooftop. Uncle James and Adewale made their way into the room, while Fawmus hold Adetutu’s hand and stopped her from going inside.

″What is it?′ Adetutu asked Fawmus wondering why he prevented her from going in.

″I want you to take the herb now″ said Fawmus, bringing out three small miniature bottles and a syringe from his pocket.

Adetutu was confused upon seeing the three bottles because Kuntapha gave them two so here are three in the hands of Fawmus. Adetutu saw two of the bottles has black liquid content which is said to be the poison that would kill Adewale, and the other last bottle has a blue liquid content which is said to be what would keep her alive. Adetutu wondered why Fawmus was also holding a syringe.

Fawmus pointed one of the miniature bottles that has the herb content toward Adeutu and said to her ″take the herb now″.

″Why should I drink it now, A is not dead yet?″ Adetutu (confused) asked Fawmus.

″That doesn’t matter you can drink the herb now″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.

″Why do you want me to drink it now?″ asked Adetutu.

″This might be the only chance we have got we might not have time later, so just take it now″ said Fawmus.

″Okay″ said Adetutu, and collected the bottle from him.

Adetutu drank the herb and it was so bitter that it changes her face mood. ″This thing is so hot and bitter″ said Adetutu, after she drank the herb and throw the bottle on the ground.

″That’s good″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.

″Why are there two poisons?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus about the other bottle that has the same content as the poison bottle.

″There are no two poisons, there is only the fake and the original one, and you will be giving the fake one to Adewale″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.

″What about the original one?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.

Fawmus sat on the motel rooftop looking around as the others were asleep inside then Fawrus appeared at the motel compound. Fawmus saw Fawrus and came down from the rooftop. Fawmus walks to Fawrus and stopped a few paces from him.

″Hello, twin brother″ said Fawrus to Fawmus.

″Seeing you here means Kuntapha is dead″ said Fawmus to Fawrus.

″He was really a big deal but I took care of him″ said Fawrus with a smile ″and am sure you know why am here″.

″Yeah. You want Deo bla bla bla. For your information you are not getting her″ said Fawmus.

″Do I always have to remind you that you are no match for me″ said Fawrus.

″Do I also need to remind you I can’t be killed, but I will make sure you stay dead this time″ said Fawmus.

Fawrus smiled and said ″that was what I was also thinking″, then Fawrus’ eyes color changed to red.

Fawmus’ eyes also changed to sky blue, and the weather changed. Thunder rumbled in the sky and a thunderbolt could be seen in the sky, then the rain began to fall.

Water being the element of Fawmus’s power gave Fawmus an upper hand against Fawrus due to the rain that was falling. Fawmus became more faster and powerful than Fawrus. Fawmus made Fawrus’s vision blur with every single water that passes through Fawrus’s eyes so he could beat Fawrus. Fawmus even iced Fawrus’ hands giving him a chance to hit Fawrus several times, while Fawrus couldn’t do anything as he tried to break the ice which he later did. Fawmus also turn the water that fall from the sky into ice (in the form of a knife) that he sent through Fawrus’s body from time to time as Fawrus tried to block and dodge some. Fawmus hit Fawrus several times on the ground and wounded him but he will always heal.

Fawrus was getting weaker because the hitting and beating from Fawmus were getting too much and it seem impossible for him to do anything, it was like he was completely powerless because of the rain. Fawrus knew he wouldn’t be able to do anything or beat Fawmus as long as the rain keeps falling, then he created 20 split ones and ordered them to attack Fawmus while he ran away with his speed power. Fawmus killed the split ones and went after Fawrus.
