MY HEART (REUNION OF LEO AND DEO)

Chapter ESCAPING THE HOSPITAL

MIDNIGHT

The whole hospital was crawling with police to prevent Adewale, Adetutu, and uncle James from escaping or running away.

A nurse walked through the hospital passageway carrying a tray which drugs could be seen on it and a glass of water. Suddenly, as the nurse was about to pass through the front door of a ward, the door of the ward opened and the nurse was dragged into the ward with the thing she was carrying by an unknown hand. Minutes later, the same nurse came out of the same ward she was dragged into with the same tray and drugs on it but no glass of water.

The nurse walked toward the ward that a policeman was guarding, and the policeman stopped the nurse as the nurse get to her and then asked what she want. The nurse replied to the policeman ″am here to give the patients the drugs prescribed for them″.

The police find what the nurse said wrong and said to the nurse ″I think you are mistaken. The patients in this ward don’t need any drugs″.

″No, am not wrong. I was told to come to this ward with these drugs″ said the nurse to the policeman.

″Not here. You should leave″ said the policeman to the nurse.

″Okay, but I will only leave when I confirm that am wrong. So am gonna have to check on the patients″ said the nurse to the policeman.

″Okay, come see for yourself″ said the policeman, and opened the ward door.

The policeman went into the ward with the nurse and they both saw Adewale, Adetutu and uncle James asleep on the bed. The policeman said to the nurse ″now you see you are wrong″, then the nurse suddenly hit the policeman very hard on the head with the tray she was holding, and that make the policeman blackout and fell to the floor.

The nurse dropped the tray on the floor, closed the door, and unlocked Adewale’s, Adetutu’s, and uncle James’ handcuffs with magic then the nurse woke the three of them. Adewale, Adetutu and uncle James opened their eyes and saw the nurse then uncle James asked the nurse ″what is it? Where are you here?″, but the nurse gave no response looking at the three of them.

″Why do you wake us up? We don’t need your attention″ said Adewale to the nurse, but the nurse said nothing and continue staring at the three of them.

Adetutu raised her hand that was handcuffed (forgetting she was cuffed to the bed) and used it to scratch her other hand. Adewale saw Adetutu’s hand and asked her ″where is your handcuff?″.

″My handcuff?″ said Adetutu, and remembered she was handcuffed then she realized her hand was no longer handcuffed.

Uncle James and Adewale also looked at their hands and saw their handcuffs has been unlocked from their hands then Adewale, Adetutu, and uncle James looked toward the nurse to see a guy with Adewale’s face instead of the nurse, standing at the same spot the nurse stood and that got them startled and scared. Uncle James asked the guy ″who are you?″.

″It is me Fawmus. Let’s get going″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″There was a nurse here just now″ said Adetutu to Fawmus.

″There was no nurse that was me, that was me. Stand up and let’s get going″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

Adetutu, Adewale, and uncle James because they know that Fawmus has supernatural power so he should be able to do that. Adewale saw the policeman on the floor and asked Fawmus ″is he dead?″.

″No, he is not. He is just unconscious″ said Fawmus to Adewale, as uncle James and Adetutu also looked at the policeman on the floor.

“We should start going now. We don’t have much time” said Fawmus to the three of them.

″No, we are not leaving with you. How do we know you are not Fawrus since you all look like me″ said Adewale to Fawmus, as the three of them stood up from the bed.

″I don’t know. That’s up to you guys to decide, but am not Fawrus″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″Let me make an awareness of this so you can know. Don’t ever address me with the word guy again. Do you understand?″ said uncle James to Fawmus.

″He is not Fawrus″ said Adetutu to uncle James and Adewale.

″How did you know that?″ uncle James asked Adetutu.

″Move closer let’s talk″ said Adetutu, and then the three of them moved closer to each other to talk.

Adewale silently asked Adetutu ″How did you know he is not Fawrus?″.

″Don’t you guys observe....″ said Adetutu to uncle James and Adewale silently.

Adetutu was cut short of words as uncle James cut in ″same goes for you guys too. Nobody should address me with the word guy anymore″ said uncle James (with annoyance) to Adewale and Adetutu.

″When did you start not accepting when people refer to you as a guy?″ Adewale asked uncle James.

″When I realize am old enough not to be called a guy but a man, and I should be addressed as sir not guy″ said uncle James to Adewale and Adetutu.

Fawmus said to the three of them ″can you guys be fast with your talking because we need to get out of here very fast″.

Uncle James was annoyed upon hearing Fawmus refer to him as a guy. Uncle James turned to Fawmus and said to him ″I said not to address me with the word guy again. Don’t you hear me or are you deaf?″.

″And what if continue to do that? What are you gonna do?″ said Fawmus to Uncle James.

Uncle James walked closer to Fawmus and stopped in front of Fawmus. Uncle James (with an angry face) said to Fawmus ″you don’t wanna piss me off″.

Fawmus looked at uncle James like he was nothing but decided to do nothing to him.

Seeing Uncle James trying to pick up a fight with Fawmus which he will lose, Adewale dragged uncle James away from Fawmus back to them then Adewale said to Uncle James ″no one is going to call you that again, uncle″.

″One more thing before we continue our conversation. I hate that guy″ said uncle James to Adewale and Adetutu, as he glare at Fawmus.

Adewale moved Uncle James’ face back to them as he said to uncle James ″we all know that. A, tell us why you think he is Fawmus″.

″Thanks to uncle for making me to be 100% sure that he is Fawmus. With just a little time I have known Fawmus and Fawrus, I have come to know that Fawrus is cruel and dangerous. If it was Fawrus that uncle challenged, he will kill uncle right away for trying to be bold because he seems to love killing and doesn’t care about consequences″ said Adetutu to uncle James and Adewale.

″Yeah, you’re right about that″ said Adewale.

″And again, Fawrus talks and smiles a lot. But Fawmus always have a sober face and only talks when he needs or wants to″ said Adetutu to Adewale, and uncle James, then the three of them looked at Fawmus and saw he truly has a sober face.

″I think you are also right about that too″ said uncle James, then the three of them went to Fawmus.

Upon getting to Fawmus, Adetutu said to Fawmus ″now we are ready to go. Hope you have an escape plan?″.

″Yes, I do. We will all walk out of here in disguise″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″In disguise? Why don’t you just open a portal so we can get out of here just like you did at the shaman’s apartment?″ Adewale asked Fawmus.

″I never told you I was the one that open it″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″You don’t need to. You seem to be the only one helping, so no one could have opened the portal except you″ said Adetutu to Fawmus.

″Okay. But I can’t open a portal right now because am still healing from the explosion. there are specific things I can do for now″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″Which are?″ Adetutu asked Fawmus.

″Can you please don’t ask any more questions and just give me your hands″ said Fawmus, and they all stretched their hands out to Fawmus.

″Not you, Domien″ said Fawmus to uncle James.

″Don’t call me Domien and why did you reject my hand?″ uncle James asked Fawmus, as he raised his hand down.

″Am not rejecting your hand just calm down″ said Fawmus to uncle James, and then hold Adewale’s and Adetutu’s hands.

Fawmus turned Adewale to the policeman guarding the ward door and Adetutu to another policeman, then he turned himself to Detective John and let go of their hands.

Uncle James was amazed upon seeing what Fawmus did and said to Adewale and Adetutu ″wow you look good″.

Adewale and Adetutu were surprised to see their bodies changed to that of someone else and looked at the window glass astounded to see their faces changed to someone else’s also. Adetutu asked Fawmus ″how did you do this?″.

″It’s part of my power″ said Fawmus to Adetutu.

″What about me? Won’t I get a new face and body?″ uncle James asked Fawmus.

Fawmus unlocked a handcuff from one of the beds and handcuffed uncle James’ hands before he aware of it. Uncle James was surprised and confused when Fawmus cuffed his hands with the handcuff then he asked Fawmus ″what are you doing?″.

″I am the Detective, and with me are the two policemen who are to escort only you with me to the police station. That is the plan″ said Fawmus to the three of them.

″That’s a nice plan″ said Adewale.

Uncle James was annoyed to hear that then he said with annoyance ″no, it is not. Why do I have to be the one to get handcuffed while you all get new faces and bodies″.

″It’s a great plan, uncle. With you handcuffed with make us less suspicious″ said Adetutu to uncle James.

″Why don’t you take my place then while I get the new face and body″ said uncle James to Adetutu.

″Would you like to be turned into a dog instead, because I can turn you into that″ said Fawmus to Uncle James.

″And you think they will let you turn me into that?″ said uncle James (with confidence) to Fawmus.

″Yes, we would. At least that will stop you from continuing talking and going according to the plan″ said Adewale to Uncle James.

″Okay. It is not that am afraid of you, it’s just I want to get out of here so I won’t do anything to you for now″ said uncle James to Fawmus, and then walked to the door while Adetutu smiled.

Fawmus lead the way as Detective John while Adewale and Adetutu followed behind as Adewale stood at uncle James left side and Adetutu at the right side holding uncle James’ arms like a policeman. They walked through the hospital passageway and every police they came across pays their respect to Fawmus thinking he is Detective John.

With their new faces, they were able to come out of the hospital through the main entrance of the hospital which was guarded by three policemen. One of the policemen stopped them as they took a few steps forward thinking Fawmus was the Detective upon seeing them and said to Fawmus ″Detective, I thought you left some hours ago″.

″Yes, but I came back a while ago to get this criminal (uncle James) to the station″ said Fawmus to the policeman.

″I have never left my post, and I only see you going out of the hospital but not going in″ said the policeman to Fawmus.

″Oh about that..... I use the other entrance″ said Fawmus to the policeman.

″I don’t think the hospital has another entrance because I know this hospital quite well″ said the policeman to Fawmus.

″Maybe not that quite well″ said Fawmus to the policeman.

″Am sorry sir. You are gonna have to wait here for a little time while I make a call″ said the policeman to Fawmus, the policeman was now suspicious of them.

″Okay″ said Fawmus to the policeman.

The policeman moved a bit away from them (his back facing them) and called the police station then Adewale (silently) said to Famwus ″you should have at least smiled when talking to the officer″.

″I don’t know how to smile″ said Famwus to Adewale.

Uncle James asked Fawmus silently ″what do we do now?″.

″You run when I say run″ said Fawmus to Adewale, uncle James and Adetutu.

The policeman’s call was picked up by a lady in her office at the police station. ″Hello Brenda, can you please check if the Detective is in his office or not″ said the policeman to the lady over the phone.

″Give me a minute″ said the lady to the policeman over the phone.

The lady dropped the phone and left to check if Detective John is in his office without disconnecting the call.

″Okay″ said the policeman and looked back to see the four of them still standing then the policeman faced front back.

Fawmus said to Adewale, Adetutu, and Uncle James ″now I need you to walk to that car with me slowly″, immediately the policeman looked front back and as he pointed to a car. Fawmus lead the way slowly and the three others followed.

The lady saw Detective John in his office and went back to her office. The lady picked up the phone back and said to the policeman ″The Detective is in his office, is everything alright?″.

″I will call you back″ said the policeman and hung up the call.

The policeman turned back as he removed his gun from his holster and saw the four of them walking away. The policeman said to the four of them ″stop right there or I will be forced to open fire″, as he pointed his pistol at the four of them.

The four of them stopped and the policeman asked the four of them ″who the hell are you all?“, but they gave no response or do anything knowing their cover has been blown.

The other two other policemen saw what was going on and came to the 1st policeman. ″What are you doing? That’s the Detective?″ 2nd policeman asked the 1st policeman.

″No, he is not. I just phone the station and they confirmed the Detective is in his office. That is an imposter″ said the 1st policeman to the two other policemen.

The two other policemen brought out their guns and point them at the four of them as one of them said “you have got to be kidding me”.

″Now I need you all to turn back with your two hands in the air slowly″ said the 1st policeman to the four of them, then the four of them raised their hands and pretend to turn back.

″Now run″ said Fawmus to the other, and he picked up a race then the others followed.

As the four of them run toward the car the policemen open fire at them.

Uncle James couldn’t run very fast because of the handcuff on his wrist and the hospital clothe (gown) he wore. Fawmus was the first to get to the car, entered the car, and ignite the car. Adewale and Adetutu also got to the car and entered.

Uncle James still running at the same time bending down to avoid being hit by the bullets the policemen were firing at them but uncle James later tripped and fell on the ground then uncle James look back as he sit up to see a bullet coming toward his head.
