MY HEART (REUNION OF LEO AND DEO)

Chapter ARRIVAL OF FAWRUS

Uncle James told and explained everything to Adewale and Adetutu. Uncle James told Adewale and Adetutu who they truly are, how his brother the shaman died, and how their parents sacrificed themselves for the both of them.

Adetutu and Adewale were both shocked and confused after hearing all that uncle James said. Adewale (in disbelief) stood up and said to uncle James ″I knew you were keeping things from us since that night, but I won’t believe any of this. It sounds impossible. We are some kind of gods that has supernatural powers. And I challenged God whom I spent my entire life worshiping because I have some kind of power and am a god. And the funniest thing to me is that we had lived different lifetimes like we are some kind of immortals″.

″Mum and Dad went into the memory land knowing they were going to die earlier than expected. It is my fault. If I had stayed off the road we wouldn’t have gone to the memory land and they wouldn’t have died” said Adetutu to herself, sad and feeling guilty.

“You are really going to believe all this. Uncle may be telling us the wrong thing because he is very scared of Fawrus″ said Adewale to Adetutu, to calm Adetutu and refusing to believe anything.

″What is there not to believe? We can feel each other pain and happiness and is that natural? Have never heard of two people that are not related being able to feel each other, not even siblings. You could even get affected If am drunk. Does any of those things seem normal to you? You may choose not to believe but It’s the real truth, Adewale. I killed our parents″ said Adetutu (sad and felt guilty) to Adewale, as water filled her eyes.

″No, don’t say that. They know what they were getting themselves into. They don’t care if you were gods or Leo and Deo. All they care about was their son and daughter, their Adewale and Adetutu. They gladly gave up their lives knowing you will both live to make them proud. They died happily″ said uncle James to Adetutu.

″No, uncle, I killed them. They will still be alive if the accident hadn’t happened″ said Adetutu, and began to cry.

Uncle James went to Adetutu and hugged her telling her that it was okay while Adewale went outside the house.

Adewale sat down alone outside the house thinking about all that uncle James said. Adewale thought to himself ″uncle has no reason to lie. If he telling the truth then I have to protect her from Fawrus. I won’t let him take her from me as I promise Dad. I will kill Fawrus if I have to. If I have power, as they say, I have to figure out a way to make it manifest in me and control it″.

Adewale was brought back from his thought when Adetutu sat down beside him and he looked at her. Adewale said to Adetutu ″I am sorry, A″.

″You don’t need to be. Even after they found out I don’t really belong to them and that if I die I would either be reborn or reincarnated, they still gave up their lives for both of us, wanting us to continue to live as their children. They never for once acted like we are not theirs and they showed us love and much care. I know you may not want to believe all that uncle said but they are proof that shows us he is telling the truth, and why would he even lie″ said Adetutu.

″I know uncle wouldn’t lie but it’s just hard to believe all that he said. We being lovers since the day we were created. And I.... a villain that hurt humans and even challenged God. Everything is so strange to me″ said Adewale.

″Yeah, and uncle told us why we couldn’t remember any of this. Mum and Dad stopped us from remembering in exchange for their lives. I also know you don’t want to believe all these because you don’t want to admit you are in love with me″ said Adetutu.

Adewale was shocked upon hearing Adetutu said that and said to her ″Yes I love you. Do you expect me to hate my sister?″, in pretense.

″I don’t know when you will finally get that you can’t lie to me anymore, A. I can feel you, A. And the love I am feeling from you is more than sibling love. The love you have for me is more than sibling love but you don’t want to show It or admit it because everyone calls you my brother and you know you aren’t really my brother″ said Adetutu.

″If you know this why didn’t you say anything about it″ asked Adewale (confused).

″Because I needed to be sure. You turned down every lady that approached you and you never approach any girl. Have never seen you take off the necklace I gave to you because I told you not to and you didn’t. And now, we are told we are truly lovers. I guess am sure now″ said Adetutu with a smile.

″I truly don’t know how I fell in love with you but I have had that feeling since the very first day I set my eyes on you″ said Adewale.

″You mean the day you became a hero″ said Adetutu with a smile, Adewale also smile.

″I can feel you want to protect me from Fawrus but to do that... I need the courageous, brave, and fearsome Leo. The Leo everyone is scared about. Can he show up now?″ asked Adetutu with a smile.

″He is around, but just don’t know how to access his power″ said Adewale with a smile.

Adetutu smiled and said ″I don’t need him to access his power, but him by my side″.

″I promise to always stay by your side and always protect you no matter what. No one is ever going to take you away from me or me from you and we will defeat Fawrus together. I promise you that″ said Adewale (courageously).

″And I promise to always love you now that I know I won’t be able to love anyone except you″ said Adetutu with a smile, Adewale also smiled and they hugged.

NIGHT

Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu couldn’t sleep alone in their rooms so they slept together in the living room with their blankets because they were afraid Fawrus might show up in their rooms or dreams.

MORNING

Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu took their bath and had a change of clothes then breakfast. After breakfast the three of them sat down in the sitting room to discuss Fawrus.

Uncle James said to Adewale and Adetutu ″Now that we know you both have no idea who Fawrus is since you have no memories of who you both are, let’s assume Fawrus is either one of your memories or your long-time enemy″.

″Okay. What do we do about him because he has my face and I don’t want anyone committing a crime with my face″ said Adewale.

″He wants me which means we are all in danger. Am sure he knows you both will want to protect me. Why don’t we just find out why he wants me or what it is he said I took from him″ said Adetutu.

″You have gotten a lot smart overnight” said Adewale to Adetutu (with a smile). Adewale asked Adetutu “And how do we find out why he wants you″.

″My brother did say this before he died that there was going to be a day trouble will come and when it does I should wake him up. I think now is the time. There is this shaman that is a friend of my late brother, we can go to him to help us wake my brother and ask on Fawrus″ said uncle James.

″Okay. That is a better idea and your late brother must have known about Fawrus″ said Adewale.

“Yeah, he does” said uncle James

″So when do we leave?″ asked Adetutu.

″Nightfall. That way I think we will be safe″ said uncle James.

Uncle James called the shaman and told him about them coming to his place which the shaman agreed. Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu spent their day in the house without stepping outside.

NIGHT

Uncle James, Adetutu, and Adewale set out to leave the house. Uncle James took the wheel, Adewale by his side, and Adetutu in the back seat. Uncle James asked Adewale and Adetutu ″are you both ready?″, as he was about to ignite the car.

″Yeah″ said Adetutu (a little bit scared).

″Wait. I don’t think we should go. Am having a bad feeling about this trip″ said Adewale (scared).

″Is he telling the truth right now?″ uncle James asked Adetutu to confirm if Adewale is lying or not.

″Yes, I can feel that he is scared, and am also scared″ said Adetutu to uncle James.

″Adewale, we are all scared of this guy but we need to find out what he wants from Adetutu then maybe we can reason with him, knowing what he wants. And you both should stop acting like cowards″ said uncle James to Adewale and Adetutu.

″Am also scared just as you are, A, and am sure you can feel that too but we can’t afford to lose this chance, A. We need to go see this shaman″ said Adetutu to Adewale.

Adewale thought for some seconds and said ″okay let go″, then uncle James ignite the car, and they began their journey.

Uncle James parked the car in front of a big-storey building and they all came down from the car. Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu stood in front of the building staring at it. Adetutu said ″I pray they have an elevator″.

″No, they don’t. We are going to have to walk through the stairs to the 5th floor which is where the shaman is″ said uncle James, and went in then Adewale and Adetutu followed.

Adewale, uncle James, and Adetutu got to the 5th floor and went to the shaman’s door. They knocked on the door multiple times but there was no response from the inside. Seeing they continued knocking and there was no response from the inside, Adewale asked uncle James “are you sure he is here?“.

“Yes, he is” said uncle James.

Adetutu said to uncle James and Adewale ″He may be busy, why don’t we go in and check″, then they agreed.

Adetutu opened the door to see nothing but darkness and they all went in. As the three of them entered the room and saw nothing but darkness Adewale said ″why is this room dark when there is light in the building?″.

″Maybe he is performing some sort of magic that involve darkness. Am sure all shaman does that″ said Adetutu with a smile.

″Have never come here to see this place dark. Switch on the flashlight of your phones″ said uncle James to Adewale and Adetutu.

Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu turn on their phone’s flashlight and were surprised to see the whole room scattered, and It seems like violence happened in the room. Adewale said ″something definitely happened here″.

“Look around to see if we can find anything″ said uncle James.

As the three of them looked around the room, uncle James saw the shaman lying on the floor lifeless, his eyes closed, his chest facing the floor, and a table on the shaman’s back.

Seeing the shaman uncle James became scared. Uncle James said to Adewale and Adetutu ″he is here″, as he move closer to the shaman and saw blood in the shaman’s mouth. Adewale and Adetutu came to uncle James and saw the shaman too then became scared.

Uncle James gets the table off the shaman’s back and Adetutu asked uncle James ″is he dead?″.

″I don’t know″ said uncle James, staring at the shaman’s body.

″We should get out of here″ said Adewale (scared) said to uncle James.

″Wait. Let’s check on him he might still be alive″ said uncle James to Adewale.

Uncle James bend down beside the shaman’s body and checked the shaman’s pulse with his hand. Uncle James felt the shaman no longer has a pulse and said out loud ″he is dead″.

Then Adewale heard the sound of footsteps behind them, and he turned back with his phone flashlight and saw no one. Adewale faced the front back as uncle James was about to turn the shaman’s body.

Uncle James was about to turn the shaman’s body when the shaman suddenly hold his hand and he became frightened, same with the others. Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu saw the shaman was awake and the shaman said to Uncle James ″run″.

Uncle James was confused to hear that then uncle James asked the shaman ″run? What.....″.

Uncle James was cut short of words as the shaman died. Seeing the shaman dead, Adewale (scared) said to uncle James and Adetutu ″we have to get out of here now. Something is not right″

Uncle James, Adewale, and Adetutu all went to the door and Adetutu tried to open the door upon getting to the door but it didn’t open. Adetutu (scared) said to uncle James and Adewale ″the door is not opening″.

″You have got to be kidding me″ said Adewale (in disbelief).

Adewale and uncle James take control of the knob to open the door but couldn’t open the door cause it seems it has been locked but by who no one knows.

As uncle James and Adewale struggled to open the door, Adetutu looked back into the room to see a man figure standing in the darkness. Adetutu raised her phone flashlight to see who it was standing in the darkness and was shocked and frightened upon seeing the person’s face.

″He is here″ said Adetutu frightened, then the door opened and she was pulled out.
