My Guardian Demon

Chapter Sick Twisted Game

"What are you doing here?"

I was still sat on the floor, unable to look away from him. People were just walking past us minding their own business.

"Well hello, Athena, fancy meeting you here," His deep voice replied.

He stuck his large hand out towards me but I just scoffed and stood up without his help, dusting myself off as his eyes wandered over me.

Of all the people I had to bump into today, it just had to be him. Just for once can something good happen, like a bath bomb shop flooding or winning a lifetime supply of chocolate.

"You really should watch where you're going," He took a step towards me.

"Oh shut up, you're Satan the all mighty powerful Demon of hell. You obviously knew I was coming, is there something else I can call you by the way because I just feel stupid calling you that."

"You amuse me."

I just noticed he looked like a normal man, longish brown hair, really tall with light stubble running across his chin sharp chiselled jaw. A clean crisp deep blue suit tight against his body.

Quite good looking if he wasn't such a fucking idiot who wanted to wipe out the human race.

Don't mind my language.

"I'm glad I amuse you, now goodbye," I spun on my heel ready to walk in the other direction when I felt his hand clasp around my wrist.

When I looked his way I noticed his eyes glowing a bright red, his touch was burning hot making me whimper.

"Get off me," I gritted out.

"Walk with me or I will burn you alive," He hissed as he tightened his grip.

The pain was unbearable, I could feel my bones slowly starting to crack from his supernatural strength till I couldn't take it anymore.

I closed my eyes and thought of electricity flowing through my body all the way to my wrist and with that, I shocked him making him let go and grunt in pain and shock.

Well if looks could kill, I'd be dead by now.

"Now don't touch me again if you know what's good for you, you'll get your chance in a month. Now if you excuse me I need to go and deal with another Demon."

"Zirach isn't happy with you is he?" I could tell he was grinning.

"How do you know I'm going to see him?"

"Come, I don't think this is the best place to have this chat," He started to walk down the path towards a little cafe on the corner.

I can't believe I'm actually going with him, I must be out of my damn mind to even speak to him but right now I hate Zac more.

So I followed him in and took a seat across from him and crossed my arms waiting for him to speak.

His eyes gazed across the shop, couples sat with each other sharing a milkshake. Sugar crazed kids eating different colours of ice cream with a variety of toppings.

The smell of coffee mixed with fresh bakery and sugary treats wafted past my nose making me extremely hungry.

"So I see you've angered one of my Demons, to the point he's trying to turn some others against me..."

"That's not my problem..." I interrupted but he held his hand up.

"Did I say you could speak? Anyway as I was saying you've pissed him off, now he's pissing me off, so fix it. I need all the Demons I can get to destroy you and every last angel."

Is this guy for real?

"Yeah, I'll get right on that," I scoffed.

I get to my feet scraping the chair back ready to leave this stupid conversation. Outside was becoming darker, nearly time to meet Zac.

"Did I say you could leave?"

I slammed my hands on the table, my face inches away from his. Flames flashing through his eyes in anger. Showing him that I wasn't scared of him was probably the best thing I could do to get him off my back.

"You may be Satan, and everyone else might be scared of you but I am not. Now crawl back to whatever hole you came from and leave me the fuck alone. I'll see you in a month," I spat.

"You do not speak to me like that you filthy human being," He snapped back.

His hand shot out gripping my arm and pulled me forward till I hit his chest, my head just reaching below his chin with his giant height.

"If you carry on with this attitude I'll just kill you now."

"Well you wouldn't want to do that now would be, you see I know about your little plan in wanting to marry me because then you'll be unstoppable right? Yes, I know all about that so I know for a fact you won't kill me right now," I gave him a smirk.

But his grip tightened, I tried shaking my arm but that just made him angrier.

"Get the fuck off her!"

I peered around Satan to see a very angry Marax, steam practically leaving his ears. His eyes turning black, and in a flash, he was by my side ripping Satan's hand off me.

My arm was now bruised and throbbing, I brought it to my chest holding it.

"What do you think you're doing here, hurting Athena like this especially in the public," Satan was now staring at Marax.

"Just making a friendly visit."

"Yeah looked friendly to me, now leave."

"You do not speak down to me Marax."

"I don't give a flying fuck, you know I don't follow orders never have and never will. Zarach maybe your little bitch but I am not."

Marax looked over to me and took my hand in his, "come on let's go," and we walked out of the shop, not looking back.

"What were you doing with him, Athena?" He asked angrily.

"Honestly I just bumped into him, quite literally. That is not how I wanted to spend my afternoon."

"Yeah, I thought you were spending it with them two idiots." He snickered.

I smacked him, "Hey, don't be nasty."

He laughed and took my arm in his making me stop, his eyes peered down at the bruise and clenched his jaw.

"He's a fucking piece of shit."

"That I will agree with."

"No smack?"

"No smack," I smiled which he returned lightly.

I noticed the sun was setting, nearly time to see what Zac wants.

"Look Marax I really need to go, but you cannot tell anyone you saw me. Not even Nathaniel, Austin is coming back tonight. Just make sure to tell him I'll see him soon okay."

The cold air made me shiver, I wrapped my arms around my self to keep myself warm but Marax noticed.

He took his leather jacket off and draped it over my shoulders, "but you'll be cold."

"Shut up, I'm hot as hell remember," then shot me a wink.

"Thank you," I gave him a hug startling him.

After a few seconds, he returned it, squeezing me at the end making me laugh.

"I won't tell anyone," he whispered into my hair and then let go.

"I'll see you soon," then I took off down the street towards the graveyard.

As I arrived at the graveyard it was dark and gloomy, not a single star shining in the sky.

The moon was full, trees swaying around me from the harsh breeze.

"so you listened, good girl," Zac appeared in front of me, in his human form.

"I'm not a dog."

"You're a bitch."

"That's the same thing."

His hand wrapped around my throat but he didn't tighten it, just something to try and scare me.

"What do you want?" I raise my eyebrow waiting for a response.

"I want you dead."

"That's old news, is that all you wanted? You could have easily sent that in a message," I pushed my arms against his chest.

A blue light flashed around my hands, my power flowing through my veins. Zac flew backwards, his claws scratching my neck at the same time.

His body hit a large tree and he slid down to his knees, cursing under his breath.

"I see you've been practising your magic," He breathed out, slowly standing up.

"I see you aren't that stupid."

A large fireball left his hand, heading straight towards me which I managed to shield.

My necklace kept on glowing, heating my skin up from where it lay.

"I did love you, Athena, I still do," He took a few long strides towards me.

"You have a funny way of showing it, you almost killed my brother."

Controlling some large rocks behind me, I threw them towards Zac which he skilfully dodges apart from the last one. It skimmed his cheek, leaving a deep scratch.

I noticed some drops of blood trailing down his skin, I smirked.

He just stood there, staring me down as the corner of his mouth curled upwards.

"How is your brother, by the way, I see he survived."

"Don't speak about him."

He laughed out loud, the fog surrounding us, twirling around my legs like vines. Other Demons appeared behind him with fire erupting from their hands.

There was too many to block, as instinct I covered my eyes ready for the burning pain but there was nothing.

As I looked up I could see the fire in front of me but was hitting an invisible wall but I'm not using my powers. I noticed Zac becoming angrier by the second.

"That's impossible," I heard Zac shout.

"What is?"

"What is that thing growing inside you?"

Them words just kept repeating in my head, thing over and over again. Does he mean I'm pregnant? Is that what Elijah meant about my pregnancy is a lot different then it will be with Arlo.

He's powerful.

"Satan will have fun killing the both of you, but I came here to give you two choices," He was now in front of me, the others staying back. They shouldn't be here in the first place.

With a flick of my wrist, I snapped all of their necks and one by one they fell to the ground. Zac seemed impressed as he quickly looked back and then to me with his eyebrow raised and a small smirk on his face.

"Choices?"

A low dark chuckle escaped his lips, his tongue slithered out as his hand took a piece of my hair and tucked it behind my ear. Then he leaned forward, his breath fanning over my face.

"A choice on who I should kill, and you get to choose who survives Darling"

My eyes never left his, never blinking as he kept flashing from black to red like a disco ball.

"I'm not choosing, you can't make me..."

"Yes, you will" He yelled.

His fingers gripped my chin harshly.

"Who do you want to save? Aiden or Austin"

My breath hitched, water pooling in my eyes. I could hear my heartbeat hammering against my chest, he just smiled.

"You have a minute to decide"
