Chapter 11
Chapter 11
In Hofcaster, a septuagenarian was sitting fishing by Kayton Lake.
The first rays of sunlight shone through the leaves and cast speckled patterns on him as if it were a miracle.
A middle–aged man in his fifties quietly waited beside the old man.
It was none other than Zane.
The person who could command such respect from him was definitely not an ordinary individual.
In Clusia, whether it was the renowned Wolf Bite in the military, the intimidating Blade Unit that struck fear in foreign enemies, or the Sixth Division that operated in the shadows, they were all under the command of Dragon Lair.
The old man named Gunther Williams was, in fact, the highest–ranking person in charge of Dragon Lair.
“Zane, did something important happen so that you came to visit me?”
Gunther asked calmly.
Zane respectfully replied, “It’s nothing serious, actually.”
“Haha… Nothing serious?”
Gunther nodded with a smile and pointed out, “I heard that you arrived in Hofcaster last night and came to see me early this morning”
Zane gave a bitter smile and said, “I knew I couldn’t hide it from you, Mr. Williams.”
He paused for a moment and then spoke calmly, “A special person came to Clusia, and I’m not sure how to handle the situation at the moment. That’s ‘why I’ve come to see you. I hope you can give me some guidance.”
As Gunther heard this, a hint of surprise appeared on his face.
He turned his head and curiously asked, “Who is it that could be making you troubled?”
“The person’s name is Magnus Kramer,” Zane replied.
“Magnus Kramer?”
Gunther muttered, his eyebrows gradually furrowing.
He was sure he had never heard of this person before.
Zane added, “You might not be familiar with his Clusian name, but you’ll definitely recognize him by his title.”
“Oh? Is that so?”
Gunther suddenly became interested.
Zane gave a dry laugh. “Lucifer,” he went on.
Upon he heard this, Gunther’s eyes narrowed. He stared at Zane and questioned, “What did you say? That Lucifer has come to Clusia?”
Since he had gotten older, he didn’t pay much attention to foreign affairs unless they involved his own country.
Only one person caught his attention.
It was none other than the famous and mysterious Lucifer the Great in the underground world.
Few people knew that Gunther and Lucifer the Great actually had a history together.
A few years ago, when Gunther was visiting a small country in Alendor, he happened to encounter armed forces who were prepared to initiate a coup.
At that critical moment, Lucifer the Great appeared with over a dozen Scarlet Purgatory members. They rescued Gunther and the Clusian delegation from danger.
Since then, Gunther paid close attention to the news about Lucifer the Great, be it intentionally or unintentionally.
W
“Mr. Williams, you’re unaware, but Lucifer the Great is actually a pure–blooded Clusian!”
“Oh?”
Gunther pondered deeply and said, “Well, that explains it then.”
Zane was somewhat puzzled. “Mr. Williams, what do you mean by that?”
It’s nothing, go on,” Gunther said perfunctorily.
́ ́”Yes.”
Zane nodded and continued, “Lucifer the Great suddenly appeared in Clusia, so I’m certain he has some unknown secrets. Unfortunately, he holds a legitimate identity, and I can’t expel him, so…”

“Hah, you little brat!”
Gunther scolded as he smiled sarcastically.
He had personally mentored and nurtured Zane. It could be said that he would know what Zane was scheming with just a fart.
This time, Zane urgently came to see him and claimed to ask for his opinion. In reality, he was trying to pass the buck.
So that even if Lucifer caused an uncontrollable incident later on, Zane wouldn’t have to take responsibility.
“Hehe…”
Seeing that Gunther saw through his plan, Zane scratched his head in embarrassment.
Gunther sighed and said, “You’ve followed me for so many years, and your knowledge and strategic thinking have improved a lot, but your vision still
falls short.”
Zane trembled, but he respectfully responded, “Please give me your instructions, Mr. Williams.”
Gunther shifted his gaze back to the fishing rod and asked instead, “I suppose you should know Lucifer better than I do, right?”
Zane nodded.
“Then let me ask you again. Since he became famous, has he ever done anything harmful to Clusia?”
Gunther asked meaningfully.
Zane shook his head, “He’s never done any of that, not even a little bit. In fact, I heard from Blade Unit that they had previously carried out a mission. abroad and even received help from Scarlet Purgatory!”
“Then it’s settled.”
Gunther glanced at him and said, “You said it yourself, Lucifer is one of us Clusians. Coming to Clusia is like going home for him. As family, what do we have to be afraid of?”
“You’re right, Mr. Williams. I know what to do now.”
Zane suddenly realized.
As Gunther said, Lucifer had never done anything harmful to Clusia, yet he believed that Lucifer returned to Clusia with ill intentions.
‘Looking back, it seems that I’ve always been the one thinking ill of others.
Hold on…
Zane suddenly realized that Gunther’s words were rather intriguing.
Not only was there no hostility towards Magnus in his words, but they even carried an indescribable and inexplicable sense of friendliness.
“Does Mr. Williams know Magnus?”
Just as the thought crossed Zane’s mind, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
“Mr. Williams, excuse me while I take this call!!
Zane apologized.
Gunther waved his hand, signaling that it was no problem.
Zane took out his phone and saw that it was a call from Xylia. He answered, “Xylia, what’s the matter? Why are you calling me so early?”
“Captain Watson, someone wants to catch that guy!”
Five minutes ago, Xylia dropped Magnus off at Hovalt Group. As soon as he got out of the car, he was surrounded by more than ten security officers. The middle–aged man leading the group stepped forward and said, “Magnus Kramer, right? Someone has accused you of intentionally causing harm, Please come with us.”
“Intentionally causing harm?” Magnus instantly figured out what was going on.
He grinned and responded, “Alright, I’ll go with you.”
“Take him away!” Several security guards took Magnus into the car.
Xylia became anxious as she witnessed the situation.
She wasn’t worried about Magnus‘ life, but rather feared that the security division would disrupt Zane’s plans, thus wasting her opportunity to achieve
merit.
In a moment of urgency, Xylia immediately reported the matter to Zane.
Meanwhile, after hanging up, Zane said with a bitter smile, “Mr. Williams, that guy was taken away by the security division.”
Gunther turned around and asked, “Oh? What’s going on?”

Zane naturally guessed that the security division must have taken Magnus away for reasons related to the Zinn family.
So he recounted the events that occurred between Magnus and Shawn.
“Mr. Williams, how should we handle this situation?” Zane asked awkwardly.
“Humph!” Gunther snorted coldly, dissatisfied. “More than 20 people ganged up on a person. Should he not be allowed to defend himself? There’s a saying that goes, ‘Evil–doers will eventually meet their match!”
“Mr. Williams, I know what to do.”
Zane acknowledged.
At that moment, he became even more certain that Magnus and Gunther likely knew each other.
Furthermore, their relationship must be pretty good.
