Chapter 1
Chapter 1
At the Heelton Hotel in Yiefmery, Magnus Kramer opened his eyes and saw a flawless figure before him.
“What on earth? I couldn’t hold myself back again!” he cursed internally.
Last night, he had just returned from abroad and went to a bar to relax. There, he unexpectedly met the woman who was before him.
They were drinking together and had a good conversation.
Following that, Kristin Thompson put on her clothes, turned around, and said coldly, “I hope you will act as if nothing happened last night.”
She was obviously threatening him when she said that.
Magnus looked her up and down while sneering, “Are you threatening me?”
Her skin was perfectly smooth, and her lips were red like cherries.
Her facial features were so delicate; it was as if they had been sculpted by the creator himself.
He admitted that even though he had encountered various stunning beauties, none of them could compare to the woman before him.
Seeing him brazenly sizing her up, Kristin’s eyes turned cold as she said, “It’s not a threat it’s a warning!”
As soon as she finished speaking, she left as if she was hastily escaping the scene.
Upon seeing that, Magnus laughed nonchalantly.
It wasn’t his first time playing the role of a one–night husband. In bed, they were husband and wife, but once they got out of bed, they parted and went their separate ways, becoming complete strangers. That was the rule in this circle!
However, as he removed the blanket to get dressed, his expression suddenly changed..
On the snow–white bedsheet, there was an eye–catching bright red blood stain!
Magnus had never expected that last night was actually the woman’s first time!
In an instant, he was filled with mixed emotions.
Just then, the phone on the bedside table suddenly rang.
“Hey, old man,” greeted Magnus.
“Brat, I don’t have much time left! Are you back yet?” An elderly voice came through the phone.
“Right, right…” said Magnus irritably.
Since a year ago, Benedict Kramer had been using various excuses to deceive Magnus into returning to his country.
Later, when Benedict realized he couldn’t deceive Magnus, he lied saying that he didn’t have much time left and asked Magnus to come back to see him one last time.
Magnus really wanted to ask Benedict, “It’s been a whole year; how are you still alive?”
“So are you actually back or not? I don’t think I can last any longer…” lamented Benedict.
“I’m back. I’ve also chosen a nice burial ground for you. Don’t worry. I’ve booked a funeral parlour. I’ll even write a eulogy for you. You will rest in peace!” Magnus chuckled.
“You–You wretched brat!” The voice on the other end of the phone was somewhat exasperated and frustrated.
Magnus quickly changed the topic and interrupted by saying, “Stop beating around the bush. Just tell me; what made you keep asking me to come back?”
“All right, I’ll tell you now. When you were young, I helped countless people and did the world good. Along the way, I arranged a marriage for you. Now the agreed–upon time has come, so go and marry that girl.”
“Wait a minute! Hold up!” interrupted Magnus hurriedly. “Old man, did you trick me into coming back just for this?”
“What else then? You didn’t really think I was going to die, did you?” Benedict asked sternly.
“Old man, do you know that arranged marriage is considered a bad practice these days?”
Magnus hadn’t finished speaking before Benedict interrupted him.
Benedict on the phone yelled, “You rascal, you think you can talk back now that you’re old enough, huh? Just you wait! I’m coming to get you.
“Don’t! If you dare to come, believe it or not, I’ll run away immediately. You’ll never see me again in your life!” threatened Magnus,
It was only when Benedict wasn’t around that Magnus dared to be so arrogant.
Whenever Benedict appeared before him, Magnus was sure to behave like a meek little lamb.

“Fine, you can run away. I’ll just pretend I never had a pupil like you!” said Benedict, his voice already choked with emotion by the end of his speech.
Magnus was at a loss whether he should cry or laugh as he said, “All right, all right, you don’t have to come… I’ll go, okay?”
“That’s more like it.” Benedict smiled contentedly and added, “I’ve seen the girl’s photo, she’s quite pretty, so it’s not a terrible deal for you…”
Before Benedict could finish speaking, Magnus hung up the phone.
After a short while, a text message was sent to his phone.
[Hovalt Group, Kristin Thompson.]
After reading the text message, Magnus scoffed with disdain.
“Beautiful? Yeah, right!” Magnus scoffed inwardly. Over the years he had been abroad, he had seen all kinds of beauties of different races and nationalities. In short, he would never agree to this marriage–it must be called off! At worst, he could just let Benedict beat him up by that time.
After a moment’s thought, Magnus took the elevator to the first–floor lobby.
Meanwhile, several men in suits were sitting on a couch in the lobby. As soon as they saw Magnus appear, they all stood up and gathered around him.
“Let me introduce myself. My name is Zane Watson, and we are from the Sixth Division of Clusia,” said the middle–aged man who was leading the group as he approached Magnus and showed him à document.

“Should I call you Mr. Kramer, or should I call you Lucifer the Great?” asked Zane.
