My Daddy Wolf

Chapter 27

Tory POV

Alpha kisses me sweetly and leaves me to rest while he finds someone to marry us. I have been through hell. All I want to do is end this day on a good note. I want to be his wife, his mate, his Luna. I hope I can be what it is he needs me to be for him. He has been there for me in so many ways. I feel like I have been a burden to him.

There is a soft knock on the door. "Come in," I say. Tee comes into the room and sits down on the bed.

"I hear there is going to be a wedding tonight," Tee says.

"Yes, he wants me to marry him in this towel," I say. I throw the covers back, revealing the towel.

"Well, that would be a first," Tee says.

"I don't have anything to wear. I may have to marry him in this towel," I say jokingly.

"Nice to see you are feeling better. I was afraid you might need my help with the wedding dress dilemma," Tee says.

"Do you have a solution?" I ask Tee.

"Actually, I do have a solution. Well, if you are willing to wear a second-hand dress," Tee says.

"I think I could get over not wearing a new dress," I say.

"Well, I have my wedding dress. However, your husband-to-be is not letting me out of his sight until my husband arrives, so I will have to send one of those young wolves to get it for me," Tee says.

"Poor thing, which one are you going to make to pick up a wedding gown?" I ask Tee.

"I have no idea. The first one unlucky enough to run into me," Tee says.

"I am sorry, Tee," I tell her.

"For what?" Tee asks.

"For whatever Alan did to you. It was my fault, and I am sorry," I say.

"No, none of this is your fault. We all make bad decisions sometimes, and we all choose bad men sometimes. You chose a bad one, but this time you have a good one. Alpha will be good for you and good to you. Whatever happened at Alan's is in the past, and I never want to talk about it again, Okay,"

Tee says. "Okay," I say.

"Now I am going downstairs to bark orders at one of these young hot wolves. One of them will be the lucky dress courier," Tee says. She smiles as she goes out the door. I am lucky to have her as a friend.

I pull the covers over me and close my eyes. I should be up and getting ready for this quick wedding, but I need rest. I drift off into sleep, so peaceful.

I feel someone touching my leg, rubbing my leg. I jerk my leg back and open my eyes. "Don't fucking touch me!" I scream.

I realize after the words come out of my mouth, it is Alpha. I reach for him and let him take me into his arms, "I am so sorry," I say as I cry.

"No, I should not have touched you while you were asleep. I know it will be hard on you for a while," Alpha says.

"It should not be that way. I know I am safe here with you," I say.

"Yes, you are," Alpha says. He holds me close. I feel so safe in his arms. I may never leave from this embrace. "I want to melt into you and stay there forever," I say.

"You are safe. I am a patient man. If you need time, I can give you all the time you need," Alpha says. "I do not need anything but you," I tell him.

"Are you up to marry me tonight? If not, we can wait," Alpha says.

"No, I want to do this tonight," I say.

"Good, because Joe is grouchy. He agreed to stay and marry us, but I owe him a pint of whiskey and the promise to leave him the hell alone," Alpha says. This makes us both laugh out loud. "Well, when you put it like that. There is no way I would want to upset Joe," I say.

"Thank goodness, I don't think I can tolerate him any meaner than he already is right now," Alpha says.

"So, I managed to score a wedding gown, not a towel wedding. Are you planning to wear jeans to marry me, or do you have something?" I ask him.

"I managed to score something second-hand myself," Alpha says.

"Good, then this will be a wedding to remember. Me, you, Tee, and Joe," I say.

"Not exactly," Alpha says.

"What do you mean not exactly?" I ask.

"Well, Henry is on his way back so that he will be here," Alpha says.

"Yeah, Henry, that is great. I cannot wait to meet him. That is just one more person," I say. Alpha has this strange look on his face like he is up to something. "Tell me, Michael, what is it?" I demand.

"Calling me Michael when you are upset, hmmm, I see how this is going to work," Alpha says.

"Spill it, Michael," I say.

"I know you only wanted a small wedding, but a few of the wolves want to be there, and they did help rescue you. It is only right that they are there," Alpha says. "Okay, how many?" I ask.

"All of them, the entire pack, will be there. The pack wants to celebrate this day with us. A lot of them never thought I would ever get married. I am the Alpha. In reality, the pack should be present for our vows," Alpha says. "Don't use the pack to get your way. That is not fair, Michael," I say. I lean into him and kiss him.

"Well, it seemed to work. I will have to remember that whenever we argue," Alpha says.

"Nay Nay, I am always right," I say to him.

"Not always," Alpha says.

"Get out of here; I need to start doing my hair and trying to look presentable since we will have an audience," I say.

"I love you, wife," Alpha says.

"I am not your wife yet, Alpha," I say.
