Chapter 21
Alpha POV
I leave Tory and run to the boat. Maybe I should not leave her, but I do not know what to do. This decision torments me, but if he hurt her again, it would kill me. I have to help Tee and Bo. Alan is on the loose, and my pack is in danger. As I board the boat, I hear something come up behind me fast.
"Wait for me!" Tory screams at me. She jumps onto the boat with me.
"What the hell are you doing? I asked you to stay in the room until I got back. What if something happens to you?" I ask her.
"We are getting married, that means your pack is my pack. I am going to be the pack Luna, Correct? Then I should be there to defend my pack," Tory says.
"You will not be Luna if Alan kills you," I say to her.
"Good thing I have you, then. I am going with you, like it or not. I understand you want to protect me, Michael, but I am not a little girl that needs protection. I am a grown pissed-off woman. I am going with you. This bastard ruined my wedding day," Tory says, taking a seat on the boat. I will not argue with her; at least I can keep an eye on her if she is with me.
"Okay, I will not argue with you, but you stick with me. I do not want you out of my line of sight for any reason," I say to her.
We take the boat back to the marina. I have Tory stay in the cabin the entire ride to the marina. I do not want her visible until we are getting off the boat. I tie off the boat and go back to get Tory. "Come on, Bo is waiting for us with another car," I say to her.
We get off the boat and walk calmly but quickly to the parking lot. My truck is still parked on the far side of the marina, and I see Bo parked on the other. Tory and I run to the car. She gets into the back. "Lay down; if he was with Tee earlier, he does not know we are coming; he thinks we are staying out another night. I do not want him to see you," I say to Tory.
"I went by your house. Tee is not there, Alpha," Bo says.
"What the fuck happened?" I ask Bo.
"I left Steven with Alan for the afternoon. When I went back last night, everything was fine. Steven agreed to stay and let me get some sleep. I went back early this morning. Steven was dead, and Alan was gone. Steven was slaughtered. There is no way Alan did that. He has help from someone," Bo says.
I look back at Tory. She is visibly shaken. I wish she would have stayed at the hotel until this is over. Tory is strong-willed, and I was not about to force her to stay behind. I will not be that way toward her. I think it is a bad idea for her to be here, but I will not force her to do anything.
We go to my house first. Tory, Bo, and I all get out of the car and make our way into the home. Tory stays close to me, and Bo is watching both of us. I go into the house first, Tory behind me, then Bo. The house is quiet, which is unusual. We go room to room looking for Tee. There is no sign of her anywhere.
"What do you think happened to her? I am so worried about her. Do you think she is okay?" Tory asks.
"I think Alan took her. Don't worry; we will find her and get her back, I promise," I answer.
"We need wolves to search for her and be ready when Alan makes his move," Bo says to me.
"Go, get everyone. I want everyone here as quickly as possible," I say to Bo.
"Yes, Alpha," Bo says.
Tory sits down. I can tell she is trying to be strong. "This is my fault entirely," Tory says.
"No, it is not your fault that Alan is a crazy manipulative little bastard. It is my fault for not killing him," I say.
"What if something bad happens to Tee?" Tory asks me.
"Calm down, nothing bad is going to happen to Tee. I promise I will bring her mouthy nosey ass home to annoy both of us," I say.
"I am going to go make some tea," Tory says.
Tory comes over to me, kisses me on the cheek, and leaves to go into the kitchen to make her some tea. I take out my phone and start texting everyone to get to the house immediately. Bo will have to make contact with the old-timers who refuse to use a phone.
I finally text the last old-timer when I hear the tea kettle come to a boil; it goes off for several minutes. I get up from my desk and go to help Tory. I go into the kitchen and take the kettle off of the stove. I pour the boiling water into her teacup. Where in the hell did she go? I go up the stairs and check the bedroom, nothing. I walk down the hall, nothing.
As I go back down the stairs, Bo comes into the house. "Is Tory outside?" I ask him.
Bo shakes his head. "No, she is not," he says.
"She was making tea, and now she is gone," I say.
"We will find her, Alpha. I am sure she did not go far," Bo says. We both know that is a lie. She was here, and now she is gone. He came for her and took her while I was not looking. That little bastard came into my home and took her. I look at Bo. "I am going to kill him when I find him," I say.
