Chapter 20
Alpha POV
I leave Tory to sleep for a few hours. I need to get my phone out of the boat and make some calls. Tee will murder me if I do not tell her that Tory and I will be married by noon today. It would not surprise me if she tried to make it here to see us get married. Tee knows how much Tory means to me. I need to check in on Bo and the Alan situation.
I walk down the pathway to the boat. The water is calm, and there does not seem to be as many people out as yesterday. Maybe if everything is going well at home, Tory and I can stay another night. I want time alone with her. We both work so much that we need this time just to be together.
I never thought a woman would make me want to be away from the pack for a night. I have spent every waking moment with the pack and their needs since I was grooming to be the Alpha. Now I feel like I deserve a little time away, times to get to know my bride.
I step onto the boat and go into the cabin to get my phone. My phone is dead, of course. I grab my charger and take it with me. I can charge it in the room and make my calls there while Tory sleeps. I step off of the boat and start my walk back to the room. I never did get Tory any flowers. I walk into the back door of the hotel and make my way to the lobby. I check with the front desk to see where I can get flowers for my beautiful bride.
I go into the gift shop and look for a bouquet of flowers for Tory. The clerk comes up to help me. "Can I help you, sir," the older lady asks me?
"I want a bouquet for my wife," I say to her. My wife, it feels good just to say those words. Tory will be my wife in just a few hours.
The clerk brings me two bouquets to make my choice. "I will take them both," I say.
"Lucky girl," the clerk says.
"I am the lucky one," I respond. I pay for the flowers and leave the gift shop. I make my way back to the room. I open the door and go into the room. Tory is not in bed. She may have gone to get something to eat.
I plug in my phone and turn it on so I can call Tee first. If I do not call her first, she will be upset with me. As I am waiting for her to answer the phone, my phone comes alive with messages. I wait for Tee to answer before I look at the messages. My phone is constantly dinging as I wait.
"Alpha, finally, I have been so worried," Tee says, sounding panicked.
"Tee, we are fine. I called to tell you that I am marrying Tory today at noon," I say excitedly.
"Alpha, that is great news. I am so happy for you," Tee says.
"Thanks. I knew if I did not call, you would kill me in my sleep. We were thinking of staying away another night and coming home tomorrow. Can you hold the fort down one more day for me?" I ask.
"Of course, Alpha, anything for you and Tory," Tee says.
"I will call you after we are married. We are getting married today at noon. I need to call and check in on Bo, so I will talk to you later, Tee," I say.
"Okay, I am very happy for you, Michael," Tee says. She never calls me Michael, not since I became Alpha. That is odd.
"You know, Tee, you could make it to the wedding before we get married if you want to come," I say to her.

"No, I don't think so. I have a lot to do here, and besides, this is your day. I should not interfere," Tee says. When does she not interfere?
"Tee, I will see you soon," I say to her.
"Goodbye, Michael," Tee says as she hangs up the phone.
Tory comes back through the door, all smiles and happy. "Something is wrong with Tee," I say to Tory.
"What do you mean?" Tory asks.
"Something is going on at the house, but she could not say. She called me Michael, and she never does that. I need to go back now," I say.
I forgot to check the messages on my phone. I pull up the messages. All the messages are from Bo. "What is wrong, Michael?" Tory asks me. "We need to find you a place to hide until I get back," I say to her.
"Why?" Tory asks..
"Alan escaped; he killed Steven. If he got out, he has help, and I think he has Tee. FUCK!" I scream.
"Michael, I have nowhere to be safe except with you," Tory says.
"I did not tell Tee we are here. She thinks we are on the boat. You could stay here while I check on Tee. We can get married after I know Tee is safe and Alan is locked away again," I say. "Is he that dangerous?" Tory asks.
"He killed Steven. He tried to kill you before I saved you. I don't know what he is capable of doing. I do not want him hurting you," I say.
My phone dings; I look down to see who the message is from this time. It is Bo, again. "What is wrong?" Tory asks. I kiss Tory on the forehead.
"I do not want you to leave this room with anyone but me. If I send someone for you, I will have them bring you flowers, so you know it is me," I say to her. I hand her the flowers.
"I am sorry I wanted this to be a special day for us. Please do not change your mind and leave me," I say. I pull her in close to me.
"I love you, Michael," Tory says.
