Chapter 15
Alpha POV
I finish up the work I have for the day. I have to check in on Bo. He is still watching Alan and keeping him confined for now. I want to make sure Alan knows how serious we are before releasing him back into the world. If he comes back and bothers this pack, there will be hell to pay.
I leave my office. Tee spots me coming out of my office and rushes over to me excited. "So, where are you headed off to in a rush?" Tee asks me, all smiles.
Tee is more excited about this date than I am, I think. She wants me to be happy.
"I have to check on Bo and our prisoner, then I will be back to pick up Tory. Do you need something, Tee?" I ask her. I know what she wants. She wants to be nosey.
"No, I was only wondering if you had thought about maybe picking up Tory some flowers or something for your hot date tonight?" Tee questions me. She is bouncing around and making me nervous. "Why are you so bouncy?" I ask her.
I know, but I want her to come out and say it. She is family, and she had tried to play matchmaker more than once with me. It never works. I have not had an interest in dating until now.
"I am excited. I cannot remember the last time you went on a date. I don't think I remember you going on one at all," Tee says.
"I have dated; that is a ridiculous assumption. I took out the Alpha's sister from The Moon Beam Pack like six years ago, remember," I say to her.

"Stop, you are ridiculous," I say to her.
Tee raises her eyebrows at me. She is right. I have not been on a date in a very long time. This could be strange for me. "So, I should get her some flowers or something?" I ask Tee.
"Yeah, you should. When I first started dating my sweet husband, he brought me flowers. It was the sweetest thing ever, and it is why I choose him as my mate," Tee says.
"Okay, I will stop and get her some flowers on my way back. Tee, you did not choose him because of the flowers. You choose him because ... I won't repeat what I was told," I say to Tee. "Good Boy. I mean Alpha. Never mind," Tee says, smiling more as she runs off.
"Lucky for you, you are married to family or might take offense to you meddling in my love life," I say to Tee.
Tee laughs as she walks away. She is right. I have not dated or wanted to date. I have spent all my time taking care of this pack. It is time I spend some time with someone special. I hope that someone is Tory. There is something about her that makes me happy. Being around her and working with her these last few weeks has been refreshing. I smile when I think of her. I want to protect her. I find myself checking in on her way more than I should. I cannot seem to stop thinking about her throughout the day.
Maybe she is the one for me, but what if she does not feel the same way. She has been through a lot. I would not blame her if she never wanted to be involved with another man. She did agree to go out with me tonight. So that is a step in the right direction. Flowers, I cannot forget to get her flowers.
I go out the front door, not paying attention to where I am going. I need to hurry so I can get back to take Tory out on the boat for the night. I run right into Tory as I go out the door, almost knocking her down. Our bodies touch and our eyes meet as I rush into her. I grab ahold of her to keep her from falling on the porch.
"I am sorry, I was hurrying so I could get back here for our.... Our.... You know the date," I say. Can I call it a date? Is this a date?
"It is okay. I was not paying attention either. I look forward to our date," Tory says.
It is a date. Good, we are on the same page here. Our eyes lock for what seems like an eternity. I want to lean down and kiss her, but I refrain. She looks down, breaking eye contact with me. I want to pull her into my arms and hold her. I want to kiss her sweet soft lips. I have not felt this way about any woman before that I can remember.
"I guess I better hurry. I will be back. It is just a quick errand," I say to her.
Tory smiles up at me. I am still holding on to her. I need to let go of her, but I do not want to let go.
"You know I could send someone else on this errand if you want me to drop it, and we could go now. I cannot wait to spend the evening with you," I say to her.
"I only need a few minutes to get dressed," Tory says, smiling.
"I will call Bo and make arrangements for someone else to go help him," I say to her. She smiles. I let go of her, and she walks into the house to get dressed. I can send someone else.
I go back into my office and pick up the phone. I call Bo to check on him quickly. He does not answer. He is probably giving Alan hell and not answering the phone. I grab my cell and text Steven to go check on Bo. Steven texts back that he can do it for me.
I run to my room and change clothes quickly. I go through my closet when Tee knocks on my door. "Come in," I say.
Tee comes into my room. "Change of plans, I see," Tee says.
Tee goes past me into my closet. She pushes me almost out of the way. She takes out a shirt and pants, hands the clothes to me. "Wear this, Alpha," she says.
Tee leaves abruptly. She came in here just for that. She is something else. I put on the clothes Tee handed to me and my shoes. I check the mirror real quick. What the fuck am I doing? I cannot be this nervous. I know Tory, and I am comfortable with her. I am acting like a pup that has never seen a woman before.
I go out of my room to wait on Tory. As I walk out there, she is dressed beautifully. Her hair curled with tiny ringlets brushing against her face. She is wearing a beautiful sundress. Oh damn, I cannot believe this beautiful creature is going on a date with me.
"You look beautiful," I say to her.
The words are not enough to describe her beauty. I take her hand as we walk out of the house for our date. I am the luckiest wolf on earth right now.
