My Bad Boy's Gang

Chapter 31

"Rain"? Faith asked as she walked in and I looked up at her, and stood up straight "Oh Hey, Faith".

She shifted uncomfortably and fidgeted with her fingers as she bit her lip "You're really going home..."?

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair "Yeah, I'm going home".

"But why" She started "Your dad just treats you horribly, and its just going to get worse. Why go back to the place that causes it all? Just stay here".

I offered her a small slight smile "Faith, I'll be fine. And I can't stay here, I don't live here".

"But you're with Ryker" She defended and I chuckled "He's my boyfriend, not my husband. I'm not just going to move into his apartment".

She frowned and I pulled my jacket on and stuck my phone in my back pocket. Ryker came out looking exhausted as ever.

He didn't sleep at all last night, and I felt bad. He was on the phone with the guys all night trying to figure out how to deal with my dad, and he was worried about me all night.

He had bags under his eyes and his hair was messy and he had a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt on, and his face drooped and looked sleep deprived.

Faith hugged me quickly "Text me when you get home" she said and I nodded, and she walked out; leaving Ryker and I.

He walked up to me and took my hands in his and pressed his forehead to mine.

"I told you to go to sleep last night, and you obviously didn't listen" I said and he rolled his eyes "I'm fine, princess".

"Ryk, you look exhausted. Are you sure you don't want me to take care of Zoe today, so you can go get some sleep"?

Leah had to go to some parent-teacher meeting/conference with Reece today, so Leah couldn't take Zoe today.

"Babe, I'm fine" He sighed and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and his eyes bored onto mine, and I blinked a few times and looked down as I knew where this was leading too.

"Rain, please don't-" Ryker started but I shook my head against his and looked up again to meet his eyes "I have to go home. I can't just stay here forever".

"Rain your home is where you get hurt"! He exclaimed in frustration and pulled back from me "I don't understand why you keep fucking going back to the place where all this shit happens"!?

I pressed my lips in a thin line, and closed my eyes slowly for a second before re-opening them, "I need to go. I'll have my brothers".

"Rain, please" He begged and I stood up straight and pecked his lips, and squeezed his hand in reassurance then walking out.

I walked into my dad's den, and I leaned in the doorway.

My heart started to pound faster, and he was reading a newspaper at his desk. I knocked gently on the door with my knuckles and he looked up.

He took his reading glasses off and set the newspaper down slowly, and stared at me with his eyes boring into me.

"Rain" He clenched his jaw "I see you've come to your senses, and are coming to apologize for the way you have been acting out of line, lately".

I swallowed hard and looked down and mumbled "I'm not the one who should be apologizing".

"What"? He snapped with anger rising in his voice, and I stood up straight in perfect posture as I tried to not snap.

"Um..." I trailed off and he exclaimed "Is that all you have to say?! 'Um'?! Because 'Um' doesn't fix my car that you just destroyed! Or the way you completely disrespected me!"

"I didn't disrespect you" I spoke up and he pushed his chair out and stood up, then walking around his desk and coming close to me.

"You didn't disrespect me? Street racing is disrespectful to me! You're my daughter, and I have a reputation around here"! He gritted through his teeth.

"You're the one who hit me"! I snapped and his eyes went dark and he gave me a warning look as he went tense and I could see his veins against his skin.

"You deserved to be hit! And I don't know what shit you're pulling, Rain, but it needs to stop! For one, stop hanging out with that gang and especially Anderson!" "He's my boyfriend" I mumbled under my breath, but loud enough for him to hear what I had just said.

He clutched his fist and sent a punch flying into the wall and the wall collapsed to where his fist just had landed and a whole had formed.

"NO!" He gritted "You break up with him, right now! I'm not having my daughter be seen with that worthless piece of shit"!

"Whoa, whoa" Ryan said as he came in and interrupted and he then realized, and grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room.

Ryan dragged me out of the house and shut the door, and he exclaimed "What the hell is he pissed off about now"!?

I bit my lip and looked away and scratched the back of my neck uncomfortably "He found out about Ryker and I....dating.....".

Ryan's eyes grew wide and he yelled "WHAT"!?

"It's not that big of a deal, Ryan..." I started and he cut me off "You know what, I don't approve of this, but right now is not the time to argue. Just let's go".

"Go to where"? I asked and he didn't answer my question and he just walked to his car, and opened the driver's door and nodding his head towards the passenger seat "Get in".

I sighed and got in without pushing the subject any further.

I shifted in my seat and let out a sigh, as I looked ahead out the long road that was bordered with trees, and we were out of the city part of New York.

"Ryan, where the heck are we going"? I asked and turned to look at him, and he put on his tun signal as he got off a highway exit "The Broccoli Factory".

I rolled my eyes, at his comment and put my head back against my seat. When I was little my brothers would always tell me we were going to "The Broccoli Factory", just to get me upset.

I began to recognize the road, and my eyes widened and he came up to a house and parked.

"Are you serious"!? I exclaimed then quickly unbuckling and getting out and slamming the door, then soon everyone came over.

"Little Thompson"! Becker yelled and I ran up the steps and hugged him tightly. He chuckled "Hey Rain".

Becker, Beverly, and Landon Knight, are my cousins from my mom sides and I haven't seen them in years.

I pulled away and Beverly pulled me into a tight hug. She had tears prick her eyes "Oh my God, I missed you so much".

Beverly was 22. She had long wavy brown hair and green eyes with a light complexion. She was always fairly close to me, along with her brothers.

"You've grown so much" She said as I pulled back and she scanned over me "Oh my gosh...you're 18 now, I feel so old". I chuckled a bit and Ryan came up and slung an arm over my shoulders "You good staying here for a couple of days"?

I nodded and offered him a small smile which was fake "Yeah, I'll be fine".

I tapped my fingers on top of the soda can I had in my hands. I was sitting at the kitchen table, and in a very uncomfortable wooden chair.

Beverly, Becker, and Landon weren't "rich" and were more on the "poor" side, and they lived on the outskirts of New York in Town-houses, in a bad neighborhood where there was always something going on. Ryan went home and grabbed a bunch of my clothes and other things I needed, and he said I was going to be here for as long as needed, till they get my dad help that he needs.

I stared straight ahead and down at the table as I got lost in my own thoughts, and my eyes just zoned in on the wooden mark on the table, and I couldn't snap out of it.

"Hey Rain" Beverly's voice said as she walked in and sat down at the other end of the table, where I was staring at.

I snapped out of my trance and smiled slightly. "So..."She trailed off as she traced circles on the table with her index finger "Ryan told me you have a boyfriend".

I nodded slightly and mumbled a "Yeah" then cracking open the soda can. My thoughts went to how Ryker was going to kill me for not texting him, and letting know what happened. "What's his name"? She asked smiling widely.

"Ryker Anderson" I answered, and she nodded and asked "Have a picture of him". I nodded in response and went into my camera roll and scrolling through, as she took a sip of her water.

I reached across the table and showed her the picture on my phone. Her eyes lit up, and she spit the water she was drinking back into the glass "Oh my God! He's so hot-....Oh, sorry Rain, I didn't mean-". I sat back down and shook my head "No, it's fine. I hear girls say it all the time".

"How old is he"? She asked curiously.

"20" I shrugged, and a small smirk appeared on her lips "That's a nice age gap...for future references I mean He's probably so experienced". "Beverly!" I exclaimed and she laughed "What? I'm sorry Rain....you know, I have to tease you about your boyfriend...it's what cousins do".

I rolled my eyes and my phone started to vibrate. "Speaking of boyfriends" I mumbled as Ryker's number appeared on my screen.

"Excuse me for one sec" I said as I got up and walked outside, and opened the worn-out broken-down screen door and walked out to the wooden porch.

I answered "Hey".

"Where the hell are you?!" He yelled, and I flinched at the sound of his yelling and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"Ryker....please calm down" I said softly.

"Don't tell me to calm down! You just left without telling anyone! You're not at the warehouse! I called Joel, and he said you weren't home! I called Stella and she said you weren't at work! I called Mrs. Doyle to see if you were at some school shit!-"

"Ryker" I cut him off "I'm at my cousin's house. Ryan took me here, and I'm staying here for a few days while they settle things out with my dad".

He sighed in aggravation, with some relief "Do you know how worried you had me?! I didn't know if anything happened or where you were-".

"I know, and I'm sorry" I apologized, and ran a hand through my hair.

"Don't ever do that to me again, Rain. You had me worried sick" He said, as he started to calm down and his voice wasn't as tense.

I leaned back up against the outside wall of the house, and held my phone up to my ear "You know you don't need to worry. I'm 18, I can handle myself, Ryk".

"Princess" He laughed without any humor "I know...but have you met yourself"?

"What's that suppose to mean"? I questioned and he sighed "Nothing. Now where's your cousins"?

I bit my lip and shifted in my space "I can't tell you".

Ryan called and told me that when he got home that my dad was flipping over Ryker and I, and then demanded that I didn't tell Ryker where I was, because my dad would track him down then it'd lead to me. "What do you mean you can't tell me?" He asked with frustration.

"I just can't..." I trailed off.

"Rain, don't be ridiculous...Where are you"?

"The Broccoli Factory" I teased.

"Rain" He warned.

"I can't tell you" I stated "I just can't..."

"So you're just planning on ignoring me for a week or so..."? He asked with annoyance filling his voice.

"I'm not ignoring you now....We're talking, I'm just not seeing you" I said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Rain, do you hear yourself right now?! Because you sound ridiculous! I'm your fucking boyfriend, for crying out loud"! He yelled.

"Goodnight Ryker" I said then hanging up, and sticking my phone in my back pocket. I sighed and walked back inside.☐☐☐
