Chapter 34
Hymes‘ gaze flickered “Colleague?”
“My boss, Mr. Baker, in the agent department… Everyone else wishes they could taste your cooking, but unfortunately, I didn’t have that much food for them.”
“Mr. Baker?”
Giselle said with a smile. Yes, when I first entered Domino Media, he saw potential in me. And it was his proposal to promote me to the vice director.”
“Oh
Hymes unconsciously gritted his teeth, his expression darkening.
However, Giselle did not notice anything. She pattered excitedly to the dining table and exclaimed, “Why are you always able to make such delicious food?”
Hymes gave a faint smile. “It’s just that if you cook with your heart, your cooking will never go wrong
“It’s not that. I feel like I have no talent for cooking. I followed the recipe, yet the taste turns out not as good as yours.”
When receiving compliments, Hymes showed a faint smile.
But as soon as he thought of that Mr. Baker could actually taste his cooking, his mood went off again.
Seeing that Hymes didn’t respond, Giselle tilted her head and blinked. “What’s wrong? I think you’re a bit off today.”
Hymes lowered his head. “Nothing. Let’s wash our hands, and then we can eat.”
Giselle looked puzzled. She felt that there was something off about Hymes, but she couldn’t immediately discern what it
was.
Sometimes, men could be even harder to understand than women,
Giselle followed Hymes into the restroom and washed her hands beside him. She turned toward him and asked, “Are you truly not upset?”
His eyelashes cast a shadow on his eyes, hiding all his emotions.
“Why would I be upset?”
Hymes tone… seemed like he was indeed not pleased.
“I don’t know. Please tell une,” Giselle’s voice was soft and delicate. “We’re newlyweds, and I still haven’t fully understood you.
“If I ever do anything that bothers you, please tell me. Do not keep it from me. I do not wish to have any cold wars with you,
OK?”
Hymes suddenly leaned forward.
His body was so close to Giselle that she felt oppressed in the confined space.
She anxiously looked at him, waiting for his response.
“I do not want a cold war with you, and I am not angry with you.”
“Then why are you upset?”
Chapter 34
Giselle was now certain that her husband was upset.
“It’s because…” Hymes suddenly looked away, his expression looking unnatural. “I only cook for you, and I only want you to
eat my food.”
“Ahh…” Giselle suddenly understood and quickly apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. Now that you told me, I will never share my food!”
Hymes nodded. “Hmm, I believe you.”
Giselle felt very guilty. T’m sorry. I really won’t do it again!”
Hymes chuckled softly. “And I’m not really a cheapskate.”
“If only I had known… I shouldn’t have given Mr. Baker the food. It’s my fault.”
Giselle expressed her apology repeatedly.
Hymes‘ eyes regained their warmth. “Alright, I’m not upset anymore. Let’s go out to cat.”
Seeing Hymes return to normal, Giselle breathed a sigh of relief and then sighed again. “But Mr. Baker is really a foodie. If it weren’t for that… he wouldn’t have gained so much weight. He’s over 200 pounds.”
Hymes planned to investigate Tyler but was momentarily stunned when he heard that.
“Over 200 pounds?”
“Yes, he’s quite tall, but 200 pounds is a lot. He’s overweight.”
Giselle found a group photo from her phone which was taken during a company outing.
The most prominent figure in the photo was Giselle’s boss, who was also obviously overweight.
Hymes suddenly felt like laughing.
There was no reason for him to be jealous.
Giselle was unaware of Hymes‘ emotional swing and enjoyed another happy meal.
It was only at that moment that Giselle realized the bed had been delivered.
She was not at home, but Hymes had taken care of all those mundane tasks without burdening her.
Giselle felt the difference between living with someone and living alone.
She even began to think about how she could survive if they divorced one day. His food completely spoiled her tummy. Everything else had now become unappetizing,
How was she supposed to return to her single life?
Therefore, the best solution was to maintain their current relationship for as long as possible.
After dinner, Giselle still had some work to do, so she went to her room.
In that regard, she was very satisfied with how she and Hymes got along.
He never disturbed her. They both would be busy with their own things. Occasionally, they would chat. Such a life was simply Giselle’s ideal marriage life.
Well, there had been no more intimate actions between them.

Chapter 34
Kila had been asking Giselle about Giselle’s marriage life with Hymes. Kila was very concerned about their relationship.
Every time, Giselle would reply: [Nothing has happened.]
Kila would then say: If I had such a cute guy by my side, I would have thrown myself on him!]
Just imagining such a scene made Giselle blush.
Although they were married, their current relationship was not what she had imagined.
Giselle was still uncertain when she would be able to take the next step, but one thing was for sure. She couldn’t make a move that day.
As Giselle was almost finished with her work, she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom downstairs and knew that Hymes was probably taking a shower.
Feeling thirsty, she went to pour herself a glass of water.
Then she heard Hymes‘ voice coming from the bathroom. “Giselle? Is that you?”
“Yes, it’s me. What’s wrong?” she replied.
The sound of water stopped, and Hymes said in a low voice, “I forgot to bring my sleepwear when I came in. Can you please bring it to me?”
“Sure, Giselle replied without hesitation.
At home, Hymes would wear a gray silk pajama set that made him look refreshing and less sharp.
Giselle had always wanted to ask him what brand it was. She thought he had excellent taste.
Hymes mostly wore suits on regular days, and the texture of his suits looked expensive.
Giselle took Hymes‘ sleepwear to the bathroom door and knocked.
The door opened quickly, and in the hazy steam, Hymes‘ face was slightly blurred.
He was not wearing anything on his upper body, and water droplets flowed over his body, forming extremely alluring
streams.
The air was misty in the bathroom.
Yet Giselle could clearly see his strong chest and eight–pack abs.
