Chapter More 49
Chapter 49: Traditional Culture
All the reporters turned their heads.
Philip and Emily were totally caught off guard.
The resentful expression on their gloomy faces was captured instantly by the reporters.
By the time Philip and Emily reacted, Sandra had already taken Wesley away.
They wanted to chase after them and accuse them, but they didn’t have the authority to do so.
They had indeed lost control of their emotions.
They could only swallow their anger.
Some reporters whispered.
They planned to write a news article about the power struggle in a rich family, and it had to be accompanied by photos.
However, Philip was straightforward
“One million dollars for the photos.”
The reporters were a bit hesitant.
But it was one million dollars!
That would grant them financial freedom.
Only a few people were able to react instantly and capture the moment.
In other words, five million dollars would be enough to solve the problem.
que
Everyone fell silent.
A reporter suddenly spoke up.
“There are two of you!”
The others echoed, “Yes, two million dollars, and we’ll delete the photos.”
Philip gritted his teeth.
He had relied on the Hill family to make it this far.
Even though he was now a teacher at an art school, his salary was
meager.
He couldn’t even meet his basic expenses.
If he were given ten million dollars, it would practically wipe out his savings.
But if he didn’t give them the money…
He looked at the reporters.
They all appeared arrogant.
He would have to give each of them two million dollars.
Or they would expose this matter.
He took a deep breath and gritted his teeth. “Don’t push it too far.”
The reporters were surprised. “You’re the son of the Hill family. Ten million dollars shouldn’t be a big deal for you, right?”
Philip was speechless.
Emily didn’t care about the money because she knew that her brothers loved her very much and that they would pay for her.
She was more worried about her reputation.
Now everyone in Geniston knew that she wasn’t the real daughter of the Hill family. If she lost her reputation, she would be despised.
She nervously grabbed Philip’s sleeve.
“Philip, why don’t you just give them the money?”
If anyone else had said that, Philip would have angrily rebuked them.
But it was Emily.
So even though he was not happy about it, he had to comfort Emily.
He suppressed his anger and made a decision.
“Fine, you can have the money, and I want all your cameras.”
If these reporters received the money, they would basically achieve financial freedom, and the cameras were nothing to them.
So, they readily nodded.
Sandra went to the technical department.
T
Due to the incident with the “hacker” the people in the technical department respected her.
Besides, she had no intention of managing the technical department and didn’t pose a threat to anyone.
There was no workplace bullying happening either.
Her workload in the department was minimal because there were rarely any transactions.
The only exception was a recent technical forum that required her presence.
Her assistant, Charles Palmer, implied that she only needed to show up, and they would take care of the rest.
She wouldn’t miss such a good opportunity.
After signing a few documents, she overheard some gossip.
“Mr. Harrison is now in charge of the design department, but things. aren’t going well.”
“It’s such a pity. Mr. Cooper used to be so talented, and now he’s groveling.”
“I heard Mr. Harrison was Mrs. Cooper’s brother’s mentor. I wonder if Mrs. Cooper can help.”
Sandra ignored them and continued typing on her keyboard.
But those people went on.
“I heard that the design department prepared seven designs, and Mr. Harrison has reviewed all of them. Guess what?”
“Just say it.”
“Those designs are highly regarded in our company, but Mr. Harrison. is not satisfied with any of them. He even said that our company has run out of ideas.”
“He’s so mean.”
While everyone was outraged, Sandra sent an email.
She glanced at her watch and smirked.
There was a hint of mockery on her cold face.
Then she slowly stood up.
As she was the deputy, director of the technical department, everyone thought she had something to deal with and quickly fell silent.
But she didn’t say anything and walked out directly.
Everyone was confused.
think
Cooper go to the design department?”
Let’s go and see what happens.”
“I don’t want to miss it.”
“Let’s go.”
In the design department.
This department gathered almost all the talented people in Geniston.
However, all their designs had been rejected by Ben.
It was ridiculous.
When Sandra entered, Ben was in the middle of criticizing.
“Mr. Cooper, you were indeed very talented before.
“But now, you have lost your flair.
“No offense, but…
Ben sighed.
“You better focus on designing and stop chasing fame and fortune.”
In other words, it would be better for Wesley to resign.
Joey clenched his fists. If the person next to him hadn’t held him
back, he would have punched Ben in the face.
Ben seemed oblivious to the danger.
He smiled helplessly.
Like an elder who cared about Wesley.

“Mr. Cooper, to be honest, I used to want you as my disciple, but…
“Anyway, I don’t want to see you like this.”
Sandra chuckled when she heard this.
It was silent in the design department.
Her chuckle caught everyone’s attention.
She walked up to Wesley.
After a few days of baths, Wesley no longer needed a wheelchair.
But he still sat in a wheelchair in the company, perhaps to get Debra’s guard down.
But those details didn’t matter.
Sandra rested her hands on the wheelchair as she looked at the seven designs on the table.
“Mr. Harrison, I have a question for you.”
Ben frowned.
He didn’t know Sandra.
Philip whispered something to him, and then he looked at Sandra with displeasure.
He said flatly, “Go ahead.”
Sandra pointed to the first design and asked, “Do you not like this one. because you think our country’s traditional culture doesn’t match your aesthetic?”
