Moonville Series 1: Secret Lovers

The slumber party took place that Friday night at Alex's house, just like how they usually do. Alex's parents do not allow her and her sister to sleep in their classmates' house, so they just do all the sleepovers at their house. Got to be strict when you're raising two daughters.

But that was also something that her friends like because whenever they do the sleepover on their house, Alicia always prepare lots of foods for the girls. They also don't do anything but stay in Alex's room and hang out, watch movies using Sam's projector.

For that night, they all decided to wear green pajamas so that they will all match, which will be good in the picture. And they really did a mini-pictorial before they do any activity for the night.

"Our pictures as fab!" Issay commented as she looks at their pictures on Alex's iPhone. Steffi is beside her taking a peek as well. "Upload it immediately, okay?" Issay told Alex.

"Give me my phone." Issay gave Alex her phone and the latter instantly uploaded the photos on her Instagram account with the hashtag #GirlsSlumberParty.

Someone knocked at the door, so Sam opened it. It was Angel, and she peeked inside the room when the door opened.

"Can I join you?"

"Sure, Ate," said Steffi.

Angel went inside the room. She's carrying a tray with a gallon of ice cream and some bowls and spoons. "I've got ice cream for you, Girls." "Wow!" The four girls went to her.

"Ate, thank you," Issay said. "Cookies and cream is my favorite."

"That's why Bryan asked me to buy this," Angel said. "Actually, this is from him. A thank you gift for your energetic cheer earlier."

"Wow! Bryan is really the kindest," Issay said.

"You're giddy again, huh?" Steffi teased her.

"I'm not!" Issay denied, though she cannot stop herself from smiling widely.

"Just stop teasing each other and let's just eat ice cream!" Alex said.

All of them took some ice cream, then they went to Alex's bed after.

"And you really wore matching pjs, huh?" Angel noticed.

"Of course, Ate. So that we'll look good in the photos," Alex said. "Hey, let's take a photo of the ice cream."

"I'll take it," Angel said as she took her own cellphone.

The four friends posed with their ice cream, and Angel took their pictures.

"Ate, join us," Alex said.

Angel did a selfie with the four girls. Then she immediately uploaded the photos on her Facebook account.

"What movie are you watching?" Angel asked.

"Anything horror, then we'll turn the lights off," Steffi answered.

"I don't like that," said Issay.

"Issay, don't be such a coward!" Alex said to her friend.

"Just cover your eyes with a pillow when the scene is scary," Sam suggested.

"Let's just watch romcom," Issay suggested instead.

"Where's the thrill in that?" Steffi asked.

Alex agreed with what Steffi said.

Angel's phone suddenly beeped. "Bryan saw our pictures already. He said we're very cute."

And Issay became excited again. "Really, Ate?"

"Your heart, Issay," Alex said giggling.

Even Angel laughed at Issay's reaction. "You want to FaceTime him?"

And Issay became more excited. "Can we?"

Instead of answering, Angel FaceTimed Bryan. "But he may be too tired to chat."

"Right," Sam said. "After their game, the awarding ceremonies immediately followed."

"Ate, let's not call him anymore. He might be taking a rest already," Issay said.

"If Ate is the one who is calling, Bryan will definitely answer no matter what," Alex said. "That's how he loves her."

"I think that's too much, Alex," Angel denied. Bryan then accepted the video call. "Hi!"

"Hey!" Bryan said with a smiled.

"The girls want to say thank you for the ice cream." She focused the camera on the four.

"Hi Kuya Bryan!" Alex said.

"Kuya Bryan, huh?" Angel asked, amused at her sister.

"Yes, Kuya Bryan," Alex answered. Then she once again talked to Bryan. "Thanks for the ice cream. Issay loves it so much."

"She does not want to share it with us, Kuya," Steffi joked.

"Hey, that's not true!" Issay denied. She seems to have lost her garrulity again.

"She even said she will take home the leftover," Sam added.

"Stop teasing me!" Issay is getting embarrassed again.

Bryan just kept smiling. "Well, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the energetic cheer earlier."

"It was fun, Kuya," Alex said. "We really enjoyed it."

"Is that so? Well, enjoy your slumber party," said Bryan.

"Thanks, Kuya. Go and take a rest," Alex said. "Bye!"

"Bye!" Bryan said.

It was Angel's turn to talk to Bryan. "You look tired."

"Just a little bit sleepy," Bryan said. "But talking to you awakened my soul, so..."

Angel said. "Really? Then let's talk until dawn."

"Let's just do that tomorrow. I'm kind of tired."

They both laughed.

"Yeah, I know," said Angel. "You got tired following me around."

"Right!" answered the four girls who are just listening to their conversation while enjoying the ice cream.

"It's the ice cream, of course," Angel said.

"It's because I'm telling the truth," Bryan said.

"Whatever," Angel said. "Take a rest now. Thanks for all your help. I had a very handsome driver and assistant the entire intramural week."

"You know I'll do anything for you."

"I know... Okay, then. Rest and sleep, okay? Bye."

"Good night, Girlfriend. Dream of me."

"I won't sleep. I'll join the slumber party."

"Then, just think of me."

"I'll think about it," Angel joked. "Good night, Boyfriend."

"I'll dream of you," Bryan said before ending the video call.

"Don't you think that's too much already, Ate?" Alex said. "You're just envious," Angel said to her sister.

"We're also envious, Ate," Sam said.

"Issay's heart was crushed, actually," Steffi said.

"That's not true!" Issay denied. "Ate, don't believe them."

Angel smiled. "Remember what your Kuya Bryan said?"

"That someday, we'll also find the perfect guy for us," Steffi answered.

"Right," Angel said. "By the way, Alex, when did you start calling Bryan 'Kuya'?"

"Well, he's my Kuya, right? She's your boyfriend," Alex answered.

"It's just new to me," Angel said.

Angel gazed at her sister. She's glad that Alex is happy again. It has been a long time since she last saw that smile. She's glad it has come back.

"I know!" Issay suddenly said. "Let's not watch movie; but instead, let's just listen to Ate Angel and Kuya Bryan's love story."

"That sounds fun," Steffi said. "But, Ate Angel might not like it."

She sighed. "They already know about me and Richard," she told Angel.

Angel was surprised at Alex's revelation.

"Girls, the truth is, Ate was just forced to befriend Bryan," Alex told her friends. Then she looked at Angel. "But I guess right now that's not the case anymore." She smiled at Angel.

Angel smiled back. Oh well, maybe it's time to tell other people about what really happened between her and Bryan. "Well, since you already told them the most important thing, I guess I can tell them everything now."

Angel narrated everything as they continued eating ice cream and chichiria courtesy of their kitchen. She told them her love story with Bryan, and in the process the three also found out about what happened to Alex and Richard.

She felt good that she could finally tell other people about what really happened. She felt she just really wants to tell them everything. So she didn't hold back. Although, what she told them was she and Bryan are already official, and not in courtship stage. But aside from that, she told them everything including the kiss she and Bryan shared in the library.

"You kissed him?" Alex said, obviously shocked.

"Excuse me, he was the one who kissed me," Angel corrected.

"Uh! It's just like in the movies," Issay said dreamily.

"Issay, you might suddenly float there," Steffi said.

"It's so romantic," Issay said. "Like Bryan wasn't able to stop himself, so he just kissed Ate Angel. Eeeee!"

"He just did that because he has to," Angel said. "He has no choice."

"And you really believe that, Ate?" Alex said. "You really are so naïve. A guy would not do that suddenly if he also doesn't like it."

"But men are easily attracted physically," Sam said. "So maybe Bryan was just caught up in the moment that he's so close to Ate Angel. Then there's that situation they need to escape."

"Why are you ruining the moment?" Issay asked. "They kissed, that's it! And it was Ate Angel's first kiss." She became giddy again.

"But in fairness to you, Alex. You're the one who started it all," Steffi said.

"That's right," Sam agreed. "We didn't even have a clue. And now, it has ended."

"It has ended?" Angel looked at Alex.

Alex sighed. "I don't know, but it seems that it's coming to an end."

"Because you're not doing anything about it," Angel told her. "You'll let it end just like that?"

Alex became sad. "If I will fix it alone, will it be resolved?"

No one answered Alex. They just looked at her and sympathized with her sadness.

"Maybe I really am a coward. I'm afraid to get hurt. I'm afraid to get sad. I don't want to see the end, so before it happens, I am ending it."

A moment of silence followed. It took a while before someone talked again.

It was Issay who spoke first. "Let's just watch a horror film."

Alex looked at Issay. She was touched at her friend's resolve. "Thanks, Issay."

Issay smiled. "Instead of sulking here, let's just watch a horror movie."

"Fine," Angel said. "Very good idea. Let's look at iFlix."

They set up Alex's Macbook and looked for a horror movie. They continued the happy slumber party and never talked about the sad things again.
