John pointed at me and barked, "You crazy woman, stop making excuses! Where's Lily?!"

My blood boiled."Lily is only five, how could she know what alcohol is? She's just a child!"

"Besides, that strong smell, anyone with a nose would've noticed it. It's so volatile, who would be dumb enough to put it on their face? John, are you so blinded by revenge that you've lost your mind? Think about it, it doesn't make sense!"

I yelled, unleashing five years of pent-up frustration and resentment.

The veins in my neck bulged, as if about to burst, desperate to pour out years

of unspoken pain, to show him how blind and unfair he was, to make him realize he was hurting an innocent soul.

John's voice was even louder, his roar shaking the entire apartment, dust falling from the ceiling.

His face turned crimson, the veins in his neck throbbing like writhing

earthworms.

"You're still making excuses! That's how it happened, stop trying to justify your mistakes!"

His eyes were bloodshot, blinded by rage, completely irrational, no trace of

his former gentleness or reason.

"Only Lily went into Raina's room, we don't even have a maid, who else

could it be?!" John roared, his eyes filled with blood vessels, like a spiderweb of red crawling across his eyeballs.

The veins on his forehead pulsed like angry earthworms.

I shouted back, "Her house? I don't have the keys to her house, how could 1 get in, let alone into her room?"

John's fists clenched, knuckles white, as if restraining the urge to strike, like

his fists were about to explode like cannonballs towards me.

His body trembled with rage. "Cut the crap, hand over Lily, now!"

He paced the room furiously.

"The security footage caught everything, if you keep denying it, I'll hand you over to the police after I talk to Lily!"

His eyes scanned the room, as if searching for Lily in every corner, his gaze filled with urgency and resentment.

He was completely out of control, consumed by anger and hatred, unable to listen to any explanation, like a raging bull charging blindly.

I gritted my teeth, trying to channel my anger and frustration through my "Security footage?" I spat out, "Show me! I won't let anyone slander my daughter!"

My eyes burned with defiance and anger, like a blazing fire, fierce and resolute.

My eyebrows furrowed, like two mountains about to collide, my gaze fixed

on John, unwavering, as if trying to decipher the conspiracy behind his changing expressions.

John didn't hesitate. He tapped furiously on his phone.

His fingers flew across the screen, his expression cold and smug, a slight

smirk playing on his lips, as if he believed the footage was the ultimate weapon to defeat me.

Then, he threw the phone at me, a vicious toss, the phone arcing through the

air before landing on the floor with a thud, bouncing a few times before coming

to rest, a blatant provocation.

I picked up the phone with trembling hands, squinting to focus my vision.

My heart sank as the screen came into view, like a giant hand squeezing it

mercilessly.

A small figure appeared on the screen, wearing the same dress Lily wore on

the day of the accident. The familiar colors and patterns mocked me like a demon

She wore her signature bucket hat, her tiny figure taking shaky steps, each one a heavy blow to my wounded heart.

She slowly entered the bedroom, stopping in front of the vanity.

Her little head turned left and right, as if observing her surroundings, her expression slightly nervous.

Her small hand reached into her little bag and pulled out a bottle of liquid.

She skillfully unscrewed the lid of a skincare product on the table and poured the

liquid in

The footage froze on this scene, but my heart felt like it had been struck by a sledgehammer.

I quickly checked the timestamp, it clearly showed two days ago.

But my daughter had already been cremated by then, her body reduced to a

pile of cold ashes.

I stood there, frozen, my eyes wide with disbelief.

Suddenly, it all felt absurd and ridiculous, a bitter laugh escaping my throat. 12:50

The laughter started softly, then grew louder and louder, more and more hysterical, filled with endless sorrow.

Tears streamed down my face, like broken beads, dripping onto the phone screen, blurring the figure in the footage.

Raina, at this moment, put on a pitiful expression and said, "Amelia, I really just wanted to know why Lily did this to me, I didn't mean anything else." She lowered her head slightly, her rash-covered face slowly lifting, as if every movement was filled with grievance.

She blinked her eyes, her long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, and said innocently, "Look, my face is like this, it's so scary."

She turned slightly, her slender fingers gently touching the rash on her face, her movements soft and slow, as if every spot caused her unbearable pain. She frowned, her lips pouting slightly, and continued in a soft voice, "She's just a child, it's not too late to teach her, but you can't instigate her to do wrong things like this. If she develops bad habits, what will she do in the future?" Her voice was soft and sweet, like cotton candy, but the malice in her words pierced my heart like needles, each word a venomous barb. It was a blatant attempt to frame my deceased daughter, to shift all the blame onto her. Hearing her nonsense, I felt a surge of anger, my body trembling.

My hands clenched into fists, my nails digging into my Rack, it is trying to

channel all my rage into those tightly clenched fine.

I stood up abruptly, pointing my trembling finger at her, and shouted, Beog pretending to be pitiful! What's really going on? Don't you dare cry to slander my daughter before we get to the bottom of this?"

My eyes were fixed on her, blazing with fury, my pupils dilated with anger,

as if I wanted to incinerate her with my gaze.

Raina blinked, feigning innocence, and said in a soft voice, Im just telling the truth, it's clearly your daughter in the security footage! My face is like this, can't I even speak up for myself?"
