Chapter 19 Homecoming
Friday afternoon came quickly, Jules had calmed down remarkably. Something about him still irked me, I couldn’t put my finger on it. All the tents were packed up and what little belongings my pack owned had been bundled up in the bed of Casey’s huge truck. They had unhitched the truck from the Rv in preparation for today. Casey would drive us to the airport, where we would meet Quinn’s plane. Once we were back on solid ground, we would rent a van and drive the remainder. All the maids and butlers would have left with Quinn’s family. It would be just us wolves. We would be packed in the truck like sardines. Casey kissed River goodbye and we all squeezed into the truck. Even though it was huge, it was not built for seven people.
The two hour drive was surprisingly pleasant for how badly cramped it was. Casey turned on some old classic rock songs, we chatted, told stories, and laughed at each other’s jokes. We reached the airport and boarded the plane. We all waved to Casey as the plane took off. We were in high spirits as the plane rose high in the air. We all thought about real toilets and real showers and real food again. The flight progressed quickly, most of us took naps. We finally landed, Quinn rented us a van at the airport. She drove us for forty five minutes. Ellis, Kai, Phoenix, and Jule’s jaw dropped when they saw the mansion that was Quinn’s summer home. She laughed and welcomed us to ‘Quinn Manor’.
Quinn led everyone to their rooms and headed to the kitchen area to prepare food, lots and lots, of food. I joined her in the kitchen, trying to help. There were so many machines and gadgets. I sat on a stool next to the island and listened to Quinn talk. She told me stories of grand parties she attended, elegant balls where she was adorned in magnificent dresses. She had felt like a princess on more than one occasion. A part of me wanted that too, to wear beautiful gowns and be the Belle of the ball. Quinn told me of all the different things people would eat at these high society events. Quite surprisingly most of these expensive dishes tasted vile and looked putrid . She regaled me with tales and descriptions of some of the desserts. She stopped once she heard my stomach growl hungrily.
Quinn’s hands were just as busy as her tongue, she had put together the most stunning taco bar. My mouth watered, everything smelled delicious. There were four types of meats, half a dozen different cheeses, and every conceivable vegetable. She stepped to the doorway and hollered, “Come and get it!” Seconds later we heard the thuds and crashes associated with people on the run. My y hungry werewolves filled plates, passed condiments, and salivated. Dinner was a joyous occasion, lots of laughter and smiles. Everyone ate their fill. The others made a point to keep Quinn and I away from clean up duties. They would take care of it because we made dinner.
Quinn and I walked hand in hand up to her room. It was so peaceful and warm. I felt happy and content. Quinn wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed my neck. Her lips felt so amazing. I moaned softly. Her hands slowly and steadily began to explore my body. I could feel myself getting wet, my steady breath turned into gasps and she touched me. I was light headed and it felt fantastic. Her caress made all the pain and trouble of the day fade. Quinn’s hands left my body and I groaned. Her hand traveled down my shoulder and teased my hand. There was a sultry look I’m her eye as she took my hand. Quinn guided me to the bathroom. She pulled my clothes gently from her body and slipped out of her own. She settled down in the tub full of hot water and beckoned me to join her. I obeyed and nestled into her arms. I felt safe and relaxed in her arms. We sat there enjoying the hot water and each other’s company. It was like there was nothing else in the world, except me and Quinn.
I was having such a difficult time staying awake. I was so comfortable. “Reese, wake up,” Quinn called softly. “Wake up hun. Let’s get you dried off and into bed.” I barely registered Quinn’s voice, much less what she was saying. My eyelids were so heavy. Quinn’s hand slipped down by my side and she tickled me. I bolted awake, she giggled. I was disoriented, luckily she expected it and held me tight. “What? What happened?” I mumbled. Quinn kissed the top of my head, “Babe, you fell asleep in the tub.” I rubbed my eyes. “I fell asleep in the tub?” I repeated still in a sleep daze. “Stand up Reese, and be careful not to slip,” she warned. I gripped on the side of the tub and pulled myself shakily to my feet.I placed both hands-on the side of the tub and slowly lifted my leg. Quinn watched the water run down the naked curves of my body. A weak moan escaped her lips.
Quinn’s moan woke me up. I was filled with an intense desire. I needed her, I needed to feel her wiggle under my tongue. I pretended to be sleepy, I let her pat dry my body and twist my hair in a fresh towel. A soft moan slipped through her lips every so often and it drove me wild. It was so hard to pretend I was sleepy when every ounce of my body screamed to jump on her. I bided my time and waited for the perfect moment. She took my hand and led me to the bed. Quinn crawled into the bed. She turned around to face me. I playfully growled and pounced, she shrieked in surprise. I had my arms around her legs and my head between her thighs. I kissed her thigh and she gasped, “Reese!” I ran my tongue up and down and all around her thigh, getting excruciatingly close to her second lips. She groaned and put her hand on my head. “Do it, don’t tease me,” she begged. “Nope,” I breathed. “I’m doing it my way!” A shudder went through her body, “oh Reese!”
At breakfast the next morning, Ellis mentioned he wanted to get a job. Quinn offered the option of looking at the mall for a job. Kai’s ears perked up, “I want to go to the mall.” We hadn’t seen Phoenix or Jules yet. I figured they were still in their comfy bed. Quinn, the twins and I finished breakfast and climbed in the van. The mall was surprisingly large. Quinn, Kai and I meandered around as Ellis went store to store to get applications. We looked at shoes, clothes, all kinds of stuff. Ellis caught up with us finally and dragged us to a store that sold adorable little building block sets. I saw a cute set that you could build a vase of flowers. Quinn noticed my gaze on the set. She picked it up, took it to the register and bought it for me. She winked as she handed it to me, a big goofy smile formed on my lips.
There was a pretzel stand in the food court, Quinn treated us. We had a great time and explored all the shops. There was one that immediately caught Quinn and my attention. It’s name was Spike’s or Spencire’s or something. It had all kinds of tee shirts that depicted punk or rock bands, ripped up jeans, thick chain belts. Quinn’s eyes grew wide with excitement, mine matched hers. We quickly ducked through the doors, a familiar smell wafted towards us. Oh the memories! We surveyed and touched everything and drank it all in. “Let’s go to the back,” Quinn whispered seductively in my ear. My eyebrows furrowed, “What’s in the back?” I asked innocently. I didn’t know there was a back to this store. She led me to a black door with bright red letters ‘No Minors Past This Line!’. There was a red duct tape line on the floor. I instinctively took a step back, then I remembered I wasn’t a minor anymore. The things I saw past the door made me blush; skimpy outfits, phallic shaped candies, raunchy movies and posters. Part of me wanted to explore the ‘forbidden’ section, part of me wanted to run away.
Quinn sensed my inner turmoil. “Go back to the front and wait for me. I want to get us something from back here.” “Us?” My brain couldn’t process what Quinn had said. I was too stimulated. “Go on, Reese. I’ll find you in a few minutes.” I stumbled through the black door and out the front door. I found a bench and sat down heavily. I tried to breathe deeply. A few minutes later, Quinn emerged with a bag. She sat beside me and held my hand. I rested my head on her shoulder. About a half hour later, Ellis and Kai found us. They were ready to go home, I was too. We piled into the van and were off. Ellis was ecstatic about his possible job opportunities, Kai was happy to have an outing. I was happy to spend time with Quinn.
Phoenix and Jules were in the kitchen, they were busy with homemade pizzas. They smelled delicious. Phoenix had perfected the art of stuffed crust. She used string cheese cut in half the long way, carefully rolled up into the outside of the crust. The first set of pizzas were almost ready for topping when we filed into the kitchen. Once she had the crust ready for toppings, she let Quinn and I pick them for the first pizza. Ellis and Kai picked the toppings of the second. Jules joked and laughed with Phoenix and the rest. He seemed to be much better now he got some sleep. The second set of the pizzas were finally fully baked, we scarfed them down. They were delicious. The pepperoni were slightly spicy, Quinn favored them over regular pepperoni. Best dang pizza I had ever eaten. Quinn Kai and I cleaned up the kitchen and Ellis washed the dishes.
Kai shared with us about her favorite movies. Quinn smiled enthusiastically, “Once we are done here, I’ve got something you’re gonna want to see.” We hurriedly finished the clean up. Quinn led us through a maze of corridors and stairs. We came upon a large room with a couple couches facing one wall. She motioned for us to sit on the couches. We sat down and she pulled the biggest remote I ever saw from off a table near the couches. Quinn pushed a button and a large white screen appeared on the wall we were facing. She pushed a second button, the lights dimmed, she pushed a third button and the screen came to life. There were all kinds of streaming services and video subscriptions represented on the screen. Quinn picked one seemingly at random, a long list of movies with thumbnails photo scrolled before us. She highlighted a movie and pressed another button.
It was a romantic comedy, it was surprisingly funny. It wasn’t what I’d typically watch but I enjoyed it. It was about this guy who taught other guys how to pick up girls. Eventually this girl came along and he fell head over heels for this girl and he thoroughly embarrassed himself several times. Even Ellis seemed to enjoy the movie. The next movie Quinn put on was about these two sister witches accompanied by a talking cat and their misadventures with the townspeople. I enjoyed this one more than the first, I had seen it before. It was nice to see it again though.
I felt pretty drowsy by the end of the second movie, Quinns arms were so comfortable. The twins and Quinn and I separated, each going to their own rooms. Quinn decided to test me, see if I could navigate the house on my own. I frowned at her but she laughed. I inhaled deeply, focusing on her scent. I isolated the specific scent of her shampoos and conditioners, I bravely stepped out in the hall. I took her hand in mine and began the trek back to her room. I’d get confused for a few minutes every once in a while, a deep inhale always got me back on track. The house was full of odd smells, part of me wanted to explore. This colossal building would be perfect to explore, but that wouldhave to wait for the morning. I was good and properly exhausted. We finally made it back to Quinn’s room and promptly fell asleep in each other’s arms.
