Chapter 23 The Council of Wolves
I listened to my wolves debate the intruder, things got heated. The noonday sun rose high in the sky. I decided to make lunch. I wandered into the kitchen and opened the fridge. I half heartedly listened to the voices from the living room while I searched for the ingredients to make pizza. The voices grew louder and much angrier. I had to step and calm everyone down. I reached deep inside myself and touched the source of Alpha power deep in my chest. I faced the living room and loudly announced, “Enough!” The room fell silent instantly, Kai whimpered. I lowered my voice and continued, “This is just what she wants. She wants us to fight and bicker among ourselves. We are doing her job for her. We all are done with this topic until we all have cooled down. Do I make myself clear?” Mumbles of agreement permeated the air. Ellis stood up and came to help me in the kitchen. “Casey, River, come talk to me please,” I called. Kai stood up and left the house in a huff, Drew quickly followed her. Quinn and Phoenix just sat there.
“Casey, River,” I began. “Go on. Get out of here. Go on a road trip. You need to recharge. We will be okay for a few days.” River began to say something but I cut her off gently. “Nope, go. I will make sure things are smooth. Go rest up, enjoy the RV.” I turned my attention to Ellis, “Hand me the flour bin, Ellis, please.” “Thank you, Reese,” Casey replied. I smiled and playfully answered, “Get out of my kitchen.” Casey and River grinned. They looked at each other and headed for the door. Ellis watched me for a minute seemingly deep in thought. “Ellis,” I responded to his silent gaze. He dropped his eyes embarrassed, “Reese, what are you going to do about this she-wolf?” I sighed. I shut the fridge door with eggs in hand. I formed a bowl-like structure from the flour on the kitchen island. I cracked the eggs into the bowl and began to mix everything together with my hands.
“What do you think I should do, Ellis?” “I’m not the Alpha,” he commented. “And how does being Alpha come into the mix,” I countered. He shrugged his shoulders, “I don’t know, I’m not good at this stuff.” I laughed, “Now you know how I feel!” Ellis smiled politely. “Reese, you’re the best Alpha anyone could ask for. You always put us first, keep us in the know. Everything you do is for the pack in one way or another.” I smirked. “So you think I should be more selfish,” I asked jokingly. “No, that’s not what I think, Reese. Come on. I think you should do more things for yourself.” “I can’t do things for myself when all of y’all are relying on me. Y’all put your trust in me to lead you and keep you safe. I take this very seriously.” Ellis’ face grew serious, “That’s why you’re the best Alpha.” I looked into his eyes, “Thank you Ellis.”
“I just wish that my sister hadn’t been so weird today,” he commented. “I noticed it too,” I affirmed, “What do you think her deal is?” Ellis shook his head, “I’m not sure. She seems to be pretty cuddly with Drew. I mean I’m happy for her, I just don’t know why she would be all weird. Drew keeps her happy, I think.” I kneaded the dough and put it into a bowl and set the bowl in the fridge for the dough to rise. I looked at Ellis, “I’m kinda surprised you don’t hate Drew or are super possessive of Kai.” He raised an eyebrow and returned my gaze. “I think we all got enough of that crap from Chad…” his voice trailed off as painful memories pounded his mind. “I’m sorry. I should’ve remembered.” He shrugged it off, “You’ve got a lot on your mind, Reese, it’s fine.”
We finished the pizza prep and placed them in the oven to bake. Ellis set the oven timer and went off to do his own thing. I walked up to Quinn and Phoenix who sat. They were engrossed in conversation on the couch. I kissed the tops of their heads and sat down on the ottoman. They both looked at me and smiled mischievously. I cocked my head to the side and asked, “What are you up to?” They glanced at each other and back at me. They were clearly plotting something. They giggled to each other like they had a big secret. “Dinner will be ready soon,” I mentioned. “I think we should have dessert first,” Phoenix smirked slyly. “Oh yes,” Quinn agreed. I studied them quizzically. They stood up and pulled me to my feet. Quinn put her hand in the small of my back and pushed me towards our room. Phoenix told Ellis to watch dinner.
Phoenix pulled the bedroom door shut behind us. Quinn cupped my face with her hands and kissed me. Phoenix slipped her arms around my waist and kissed my neck. I kissed Quinn and moaned. Phoenix’s fingers traced my waist line and ran up and down my chest. My body shivered with pleasure. Quinn let her fingers fall from my face down my shoulders and arm. Her touch filled me with warmth and desire. Phoenix’s hands ducked under my shirt and caressed my stomach. She kissed my neck once more. Quinn slid her hand into my skirt. I squealed at her touch. My breath was hot and heavy. Phoenix cupped my chest and squeezed softly. Quinn’s fingers danced between my legs. I couldn’t breathe. My body shook and trembled with pleasure. They seemed to have their fill of teasing me. They pulled my clothes off and tossed me onto the bed. Phoenix buried her face between my legs and Quinn’s licked from my neck down to my chest. I moaned and arched my back. Quinn pushed my stomach back down to the best and traced circles around my nipples with her tongue. I gasped and tried to breathe. Quinn and Phoenix made me scream. Every muscle in my body spasmed as I gushed all over Phoenix. She made eye contact with me, the biggest smile was on her face. Quinn moaned and pulled her shorts from her legs. She placed her knees on either side of my head. I wrapped my arms around her hips and pulled her down onto my face.
Phoenix slipped her fingers inside me as her tongue danced on my lower lips. I screamed loudly into Quinn’s thigh. My body trembled violently with pleasure. I returned to Quinn’s lower lips and she shivered. Phoenix ripped her clothes off and climbed on top of me. My fingers massaged her lower lips as she kissed Quinn’s mouth. I could feel them trembling with pleasure on top of me and it drove me wild. I squeezed one of Quinn’s breasts while my other hand pleasured Phoenix. I groaned as Quinn doused my face. Phoenix splurged all over my hand soon after. Quinn kneaded my breasts and Phoenix slid her fingers back into me. I gushed all over her fingers. I faintly heard Ellis holler, “Come and get it! Dinner is served!” Phoenix and Quinn rolled off of me. We all were short of breath and soaked between our legs. It took us several minutes to collect ourselves and get dressed. I was still weak with pleasure, Quinn pulled me into her side to support me as we left our room and found our way to the kitchen.
We sat down at the kitchen island while Ellis served up plates. He passed the plates around and we dug in. The pizza was delicious. Quinn and Phoenix decided to sunbathe after we ate. My legs were finally stable enough to support me, so I went back to my room to grab my phone before I joined Phoenix and Quinn outside. As I passed through the living room, Robin stared at me. “Robin,” I greeted her. She let out a low whine. I saw something in her eye. It felt like she had a secret she wanted to tell me, but couldn’t. She knew something, I was sure of it. Normally I could guess what Robin wanted or tried to convey, but this time was different. I only sensed a deep sadness from her. “You know,” I began, “You could just tell me.” Robin dropped her gaze, dropped to the floor and covered her snout with her paws. She whined. “Ok then, I’ll be around if ya need me, I guess.”
