Moonlit Betrayal (Alpha Rick)

Chapter 111

Chapter 111

Jenna intentionally rolled up her sleeve, revealing the wound on her arm.

Jenna said. “By the way, I want to remind you to be cautious of Dominick!”

When she heard this name, Layla’s thoughts immediately shifted away from her family.

She said. “Huh. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t make friends. But I heard that your relationship with him is not that good, so I wanted to remind you.

“Do you know why I was beaten half to death? And do you know who did this to me?”

Jenna’s voice suddenly choked up. “If I hadn’t run away, you wouldn’t be seeing me right now.”

Lola frowned slightly, a bad feeling brewing in her heart. “What’s wrong with Mr. Sinclair?”

“The injuries on my body were all inflicted by him! That man is like a madman! The ferocity lie showed while beating me was inhuman!” Jenna seemed genuinely frightened when mentioning Dominick, her body trembling all over.

She said. “Layla, believe me, Dominick is a bad guy!

“It was terrifying really terrifying. Dominick tormented me, saying…saying that I have a face that looks like yours and that he hates you. So, whenever he saw my face, he thought of you….

didn’t do anything, and I’m not even close to him, yet he almost took my life!”

Jenna’s eyes were filled with fear and anger as she spoke, making her seem genuinely distressed.

Lola listened incredulously to Jenna’s words while pressing her lips tightly together. It took Lola a while to manage to speak

  1. up.

Lola asked. “Could there have been some misunderstanding, Jenia? Could you have been mistaken? Mr. Sinclair isn’t that kind of person. He’s been very kind to me and has saved me many times.”

She couldn’t imagine why Dominick would despise her.

After Lola heard that, she felt her heart ached inexplicably.

She wondered, ‘If what Jenna says is true, could Dominick’s dislike of me be because of the harsh words I spoke that day? Dominick hasn’t appeared again since

Jenna replied, “How could I be mistaken? Look at the injuries on my body. Could they be fake? Besides, I’m not close to

Dominick, and we have no vested interests. I have no reason to speak all of him.”

Her every word seemed logical, but Lola just couldn’t bring herself to believe it.

Lola thought, ‘But Dominick always seemed so gentle.

She said, “Jenna, are you really not lying to me? But Mr. Sinclair, he…

Jenna interjected, “Okay, if you don’t believe me, then I won’t mention this sort of thing to you again. I’m already in this

state. What reason would I have to lie to you

“Dominick sought me out for no reason and tormented me to this extent. No matter what, I now have a grudge against him. If you still consider him a friend, I won’t blame you.”

Jenna portrayed herself as the weaker party, appearing considerate, understanding, and pitiable.

After Lola saw the scarson–Jenna, which covered almost her entire body, Lola felt a complex mix of emotions, an indescribable oppression in her heart.

Lola pondered, ‘Dominick, what kind of person you really are? Why have you disappeared and not come forward to explain what really happened?”

Her head ached severely as Jenna’s words were logical, and she was her kin. Eola couldn’t just not believe her.

Jenna said, “Okay, Layla, that’s all I can say. I know you don’t like hearing these things, so I won’t bring them up again.

It’ll be a holiday festival in a few days. 1… I was thinking, now that I can finally return to the family, I wanted to celebrate the festival with you all like we used to, but I doubt the rest of the family will agree.”

As she spoke, her expression turned sad and sorrowful.

Lola felt a pang of compassion. “I’ll talk to Mom and Dad about this.”

Jenna gratefully grasped Lola’s hand and said. “Layla, you really are my good sister. I’ll wait for your good news then.”

Lola then chose to talk to her parents about the matter on the eve of the holiday festival.

“Huh, how odd. How come both of you suddenly started to side with Jenna? Scott mentioned this yesterday too,” Jasmine asked with confusion.

Mason/snorted. “Who knows if she has used some trick to bewitch these two. I’ve said it before. Jenna can’t be trusted. We need to be cautious.

Lola was a bit taken aback. “Scott already brought this up?”

She thought, It seems it’s not a coincidence. Jenna must have talked to Scott about this as well. It looks like they are quite…close!

Lola hid her concerns and answered with a smile, “How could Jenna bewitch anyone? I just think that in our culture, this festival has always been spent with family, symbolizing the hope for a long and healthy life together.

“Now that Jenna has returned, we should all celebrate together. Otherwise, it would be pitiful for her to be alone in the

castle”

Jasmine, being tender–hearted and reminiscing about past celebrations spent together as a family, looked moved as she turned to Mason.

She said, “We’re all going to celebrate the festival one way or another. One more person won’t make a difference. This could be a good opportunity to see if Jenna truly realizes her mistakes.

Mason was initially hesitant but decided to agree for the sake of his younger daughter.

He said, ‘Since Layla has already said so, let’s do it together!”

The holiday festival symbolized longevity and prosperity. It was said that as long as families gathered together on this day, they would live long, healthy, and always be united.

They were initially unsure about where to celebrate the holiday. Scott then suggested celebrating on their family’s yacht, and everyone agreed.

The Lewis family and the Jensen family were longtime friends, so there was no hesitation in celebrating together. Thus, they arranged to spend the holiday together.

The yacht was spacious, with various desserts and red wine set up on the deck. Most of the Lewis family’s relatives had already arrived, although some were unable to return from abroad.

Lola checked the time and noticed Jenna hadn’t arrived yet.

Just as she was pondering, Jenna’s voice rang out. I’m sorry for being late, everyone.”

Jenna was dressed in a red dress, her face wearing a soft smile.

“Ah? Am I seeing things? Isn’t she the spitting image of Layla? Is that.. Jenna back?!” Scott’s father, Thomas Jensen, exclaimed in surprise.

Jasmine had anticipated everyone’s reaction to Jenna and had prepared a response in advance.

Jenna was missing due to an accident. Let’s not dwell on the past on such a festive day,” Jasmine said.

Mason’s expression darkened upon seeing Jenna, and the atmosphere became somewhat tense, deterring others from asking. further questions.

“I’m sorry. Mom and Dad!” Jenna suddenly cried out, “Everyone, my mother didn’t say it because she wanted to save face for

me

“When I was younger. I hanned Layla out of jealousy. It was all my fault.”
