Chapter CHAPTER FIVE
A loud knock woke me up the next morning. I resisted answering. I knew it'd be Stefan, he knocked similarly yesterday. Why was he sending for me again this morning? I was never answering him again. "Lila, are you in?" Rieka asked, knocking again.
"Yes, I'm in" I answered and she entered.
"What took you so long to respond? For a second I thought you slept in the Alpha's chambers" Rieka said.
"What!" I exclaimed.
"Calm down, it's a joke," she said giggling.
"It had better be."
"So what happened last night?" she asked, rolling her eyes.
"Mate pull, I guess the proximity is making it harder for him," I said after hesitating for a while.
"Is he accepting you as his mate?" she asked.
"No" I replied with a shaky voice, "he doesn't want me".
"Let's not talk about this now, umm... let's make breakfast together," she said and I smiled.
"I'll be journeying somewhere new tomorrow, Rieka. I need some time alone and away from here to properly discover myself " I said.
"And you waited until today to tell me?" she asked, sounding somewhat annoyed.
"I'm sorry, I should've told you earlier," I said.
"It's fine. Have you told anyone else? The Alpha? Beta? The elders?"
"No I'm telling only you and I want it to remain like that," I said.
"Are you serious right now?" Rieka asked, almost shouting.
"Yes please" I responded. She let out a long sigh.
"What would you have me say if the Alpha discovers you're missing?" she asked with a concerned look.
"I won't be gone for long, just a day or two, he'll barely notice. I'm not that important." I answered.
"I just hope this is a good idea," she said with a shrug.
"Trust me," I said and winked.
I avoided the Alpha by all means possible that day. I packed a few things that night and prepared to leave as early as possible to prevent suspicions.

I left the next day journeying through the woods, hoping to get to Crescent Village as early as I could and leave the next day. Feeling the cool breeze in the woods and hearing the sounds of the birds echo through the forest was so pleasing. I caught a smell of something unusual. I looked around trying to figure out what it was. I noticed a tall figure coming towards me from behind. I was beyond frightened. I started running immediately.
"Please wait! I'm not going to hurt you" I heard a loud voice say. I didn't stop running. "Please! I won't hurt you" he said again. I then realized I had run in the wrong direction and was approaching a dead end. I stopped and he caught up with me. I clenched my fists ready to attack him.
"I am Ben, a warlock in my village," he said.
"How is that my business? How can I help you?" I asked.
"I know you haven't been able to discover your abilities. I can help you."
"How would you know that?" I asked.
"As I said, I am a warlock where I come from" he responded. "A powerful warlock that knows it all."
"Bullshit!".
"If you permit me, I have a magical potion that would ignite and reveal your strengths and abilities to you," he said.
I paused for a minute. What if he was the solution to my problems? Was this my dad in disguise trying to help me? So many questions popped into my head. The essence of this journey was to reflect on my life and discover my abilities. I haven't even gone far and the solution has come to me. If I didn't take the potion and let him go, I might never become the powerful Lila I had always imagined. I decided to take the risk.
"Where is the potion?" I asked. He brought it out and stretched it to me.

"Thank you for letting me help you," he said and turned to leave. I watched him go as far away as he could be from me before finally picking up the potion.
I didn't even remember to ask for prescriptions. It was a little bottle anyway so I braced up and swallowed the whole contents of the bottle. It tasted sour. I waited to see the effects immediately but I was disappointed.
I sat on the floor hoping to see changes before I decided whether to continue my journey or head back home. I didn't feel good so I decided to head back home and hopefully, my abilities will be revealed before then. I was soon entering Moonville when I had this unusual feeling. I suddenly transformed into my wolf form. I tried shifting back but it didn't work. After multiple attempts, I was able to shift back into my human form.
I didn't know whether to panic or be excited. The potion was working. My abilities will soon be revealed. I transformed suddenly again and I couldn't shift back. I panicked. What had he done to me? I tried running home but I was weak. The transformations were very painful. I crawled back home in tears. I had about three painful transformations before I finally got home.
"Look, it's feeble Lila" I heard someone say. I looked up it was Diana.
"Help," I muttered. She carried me immediately and rushed to the healing room. The healer was summoned. The Alpha was in a meeting.
Rieka rushed in and knelt by my side. "Lila! Lila, what happened?"
"I was given a magic potion to ignite my powers," I said.
"Magic potion? Who gave it to you?" Rieka asked.
"I... B..." I was about to reply when my forceful transformations began again. I shifted from my human form and howled loudly "What are you doing, Lila? Shift back!" She yelled. The healer entered, seeing me in my wolf form, he transformed too and gave me a heavy punch that knocked me out.
"She has been poisoned," the healer said. I was given the mythical antidote.
"Where did she go?" he asked, turning to Rieka. I fell asleep.
