MEHJABEEN

Chapter Chapter Sixteen

Treasured Moment

Hearing his voice, she stills out and formulates the voice. Now he knows that she's into his web, he laughs a little moreover to make her understand the scenery. But she's still quizzed to find her only hope to let her out from this giant as she murmured earlier...

“ Quentin Tarantino. You're a dead tarantula ( into a spider species ), once I freed myself. You just wait—” Her sugar-coated calls were too sweet to hear. So he calls this game to an end, or so he thought he could.

“ Aww... I only wanna play a little with my squirrel. Is that so bad? ” he cooed as he faked innocence. When she tries to let out by scratching his skin, Quen spins her around to face him, with their fronts brushing one another closer than before...

When she planned to stay numb, as her hands and legs motioned his nearing death, with unsaid words. He goes on to call the day off with his planned confession.

“ My sincere apologies. I will tell you everything if you let me, my love. " Sounding truthful, Quen takes her hand in his palms & runs circles with his thumb in a slow beat as his gaze turns to the moonstone ring, which he craved by pouring all his heart’s love.

“ Can you see that ring over here? It's the moonstone. As you've already guessed.

But what you didn't know is that it holds a mantra.

‘Charm absconds thy flaws! Means,

Whatever the thing you add, it will cloak off the flaw and present you flawless, in return.

You see, the twigs that I added are far too dry and crunchy. But once I get to know the beauty it could reduce once it goes with the combination of Maple leaf and the stone, it's a priceless art.

“The Seven seas told me to reject the evidence of your eyes. But they didn't know It was the final, most essential part of my life.”

That's how I feel about you. We maybe forts apart. But in terms of returning home, where we belong, we need our best combination. For I've found mine. My heart wants to know your thoughts about us in return. Now, do my muse wish to wear this ring till the end? For I get to worship you till the end of times.

“Cross seven seas; One universe; Counting this moment of truth.”

Now those craved words wear a clear picture to the point of no return. Live in the moment, laugh often, and love unconditionally was her motto but never felt so content with who she was and where her life got her into the lapse.

Of course, many had and have been hurting her with their morals to not grow under parenting care, by their words, action, and their silence. Yet she wasn't broke these days. But no hurt is bigger than that when someone like Quen, one day ignores her when she values him a lot, only then does she frets to take that one step ahead with him besides.

Thus,

SHE REMEMBERED WHO SHE WAS, AND WHAT SHE'LL LOSE, IF SHE LET GO OF THIS CHANCE, HENCE THE GAME CHANGED.

And then it happens, in the chillness of the clouds. The night is all alone in the darkest hour. Everybody's sleeping soundly in their nest. While the moon and star blush beforehand, with sly smug looks, they know that their predicament is falling out as they thought.

Quen who was soaking in his sweat on this cold night, yearns for that one word, as his warmth is held captive in her hold.

Suddenly he shivers with excitement when he feels her cute little fingertips grazing his palms, but it puts off the air when the hands silently ask for his hold to release. Her face had turned into fish-eye with nobody home quoted in... That's a disastrous step to start. Yet he readied himself to face the consequences.

Without saying any less than an exhausted sigh from her mouth, she slowly reaches for the ring and wears it on her ring finger, and admires it by raising her finger high in the sky. Indeed it's a Promise Ring, she thinks.

Quen who witnessed this starts to beam like a new torch, in the skyline. One must think that he's a falling star. But the star too died one day as fate was written the day it was born.

Precisely, Quen's shining armor died out, not so long, when he found Elffy easing out the ring from her finger and gingerly placing it in his palm.

His heart died a million moons. Not a word was shared. Although the only thing that prevailed all over again was the silence in which everything was started... It's a no-good night for either of them. That's what the line of his thoughts was. But Elffy squeezed his arms as comfort and consoled the drowning prince with her silence.

As the time comes to part ways, he holds her arms in an iron grip, nevertheless, it isn't perpetual.

He tries to convey his words, but none forms at the moment. All comes down to this moment.

And then it happened.

A flesh so soft, and smooth like an early morning due, pressed on his palms where the ring is held.

His eyes were closed. Treasuring this moment for all he cares about right now. And then his fingertips get the same treatment. On count, his subconscious calls him to view the source of his raising inferno level

“ Your long-awaited treasure is here. Open thy heart-eye and feel it. You know it's hard to ignore the love of your life this long. Don't you think? ” Hearing her, He's frozen. Then slowly parts his eyelids to only see his beloved smiling face—

As her memory lines back on to the old times, her line of thoughts was cut, only to begin with a fresh wave of the glass glow gas, strolling towards her eyes in wavey tides. At first, it was translucent with the glow vibing soft lights. But sooner it reveals the secrets by pulling her in with a slight push.

When Elffy tries to fight the force, the siren pattern changes into a variable stroke in the binocular pole with the addition of waves thickening in dementia.

Beyond all, as has been viewed, words don't exist to describe the beauty of this moment or the sense of awe it stirs in her eyes.

But it slowly results out soaring her eyes with tiredness, thereby lulling her to a black lake in which she was already floating in.

Before her eyelids brushed the lower ends, she saw a boy in his early teens with golden blonde hair, and ocean blue orbs enter the room with an Ash blonde little girl with silvery orbs lying down still in his arms with a pleasant look adoring her heart-shaped feature.

But there are strings attached to this moment. Elffy knows what their presence together is trying to tell her. And he knows what he wants from her at this moment. Even though this is more absurd than anything anyone has ever done for her, that stubborn force that held her captive still doesn't want to let her out of this place.

Even though she's been in another dimension with nothing but coldness surrounding her, she could still remember the feeling of warmth his hands radiate around the girl.

Even now, it feels so surreal that thousands upon thousands of air horses with sparkling water glitters floating in the air as if every sky's creation has been called here to shine on her.

She would rather take this moment and capture it inside a glass ball to keep it while and perfect than taint it with the following compliances that fate would bring.

Even in this scenery, Quen is helping her with his presence. Giving her a chance to question the anonymous space between them and the tunnel, to ace her way out.

To be said, they looked so serene and carefree with no worries about the following heartaches which were engraved to entail in their fates.

As much as this phase has hurt her skin deep, she's thankful for the glimpse that she dreamt of for her future ahead.

In the daze, she tilts her head back and looks up at the sky through the opening in the middle of the room. Some of the stars like glowing butts in the night sky have disappeared, but there are still enough above her to make it look like the reflection of an ocean filled with phosphorescent creatures.

Elffy feels not to leave from here, but the night and her dream will have to end for all it happened. She'll have to return home as she has responsibilities stacked up her sleeves, as well as to do non-thrilling things like deciding what course her life's going to take now.

When her head is spinning so much, the so-called-glowing-butts in the sky seem to be dancing in a zigzaggy line around her. She was pulled out from that paradise somehow within a snapshot.

And she's gone. To the world itself in which

The luminous gas in the glowy tunnel is turning her body ice cold with its thickened density. The last thing she saw in the dreamy paradise, somehow gave her a reasonable strength to fight for. Although it's threading on the egg shells.

Crushing that mere insight out of her inbox, she tries again to squeeze out from this maddening pathway, but the hope that made her try is still outside this pathway, trying to solve the puzzle for a better ending.

Precisely later 5mins Elffy's head throbbed like crazy. She felt different. Her eyelids are heavier the deeper the more she strains them to open wide with a single thought revolving around her She can't wake up.

But she still felt the forest smell, and bugs glowing lights behind her lids says the dusk on board.

Beneath her, the ground was adored with wet grass and muddy soils ... Elffy tries to open her eyes, but it's as though someone placed weights on them.

Her thoughts drag her in like quicksand.

Slowly, ever so slowly, the wheels in her brain begin to turn. This circumstance drowns her to feel more confusing yet nowhere near manageable.

Around somewhere near her parameters the howls of a creature resonate in her ear like an alarm. The last thing she needs is to be torn into pieces by some unknown creature– Wait a minute! They ain't wild creatures in Elffenda. Then where does the sound come from? Is she being kidnapped? Or her conciseness is playing tricks with the exact volume of background checks.

The more she stumbled to know the current status running around, her complexion turns like a blueberry. At the moment, her fellow guardian– Willow who was left to remain in her locket telepathically beckons her to ‘Whistle away her worries’ as he charges his coolness around her in a wordless comfort.

Willow's unsaid words gave Elffy a supportive hand to resume her mind in one track and to remember that she is not alone in this unknown arena.

With the help of the sudden boosting Willow gave, she rushes to get any grip around her as she forces her eyelids apart, and bites down on her lip, hoping the pain might quicken her wake from the haze.

It doesn't work as well as she needs it to, but it at least makes her conscious to strike back in one piece, thus making her sit up and glance at her surroundings which were full of widely tangled trees, with creepy crawlies in the mist. Through her peripheral vision, she saw the constantly shifting color of the smoke erupting from some no named bushes give away with a mixture of horror and awe on her face. Suddenly a buzzing sound radiates near her and something the size of a giant frog drops on her shoulder from nowhere. Edwina squeaks at the thing and flicks the thing off her shoulder and that's when she notices that it isn't the evil creature. It's just a glow bug sitting on her shoulder and that's when reality dawns on her.

Oh…My Moon!" With that said she faints back to the state she was long gone. With a lone thought whirling in her mind. -Where is she?

But her hearing senses weren't knocked off completely, not at least before hearing the murmurs of someone behind her.

“We must strike now— ” Someone said. But another voice spoke, cutting the previous person.

“ No! Let's wait and see what she's up to. ”
