Chapter 743
Chapter 743 Eugene's Arrival
Cristina had always felt that she was unlucky because both her parents were extremely indifferent to her. It
wasn't until she met Ella that she realized Eugene was even more pitiable than her. At least her parents didn't torture her like a psychopath, but Ella did that to Eugene every day.
Ella said casually, "He must listen to me. I gave birth to him, after all. It's late. I've got to go." After she finished speaking, she rose, facing Theresa. "Goodbye." She was accompanied here by a maid who was also her driver. Now both of them were leaving.
Theresa didn't walk them out. When they disappeared from her sight, she turned her gaze to Cristina. "Are you okay?"
With her face flushed with anger, Cristina was breathing heavily, wishing that she could tear Ella apart sooner or later.
Not understanding what was going on, Brenda just stood aside with a puzzled look. "Why is Cristina so angry?" she inquired Theresa.
Theresa answered, "Cristina scratched her face."
Brenda was surprised. "She doesn't seem like that kind of person."
Theresa said, "No, but she did do that to her. She thought Leonard was Eugene's son before and almost took
Leonard away from me. Later she found out she was wrong and apologized. You know, she's polite to everyone, but when it comes to something related to her son, she can be very cruel and ruthless." Charlie was sitting silently near them. As he listened to them, he frowned tightly.
Brenda came closer to Cristina, asking caringly, "Cristina, are you okay?"
"I'm just angry." Cristina took a deep breath. "How can there be such a woman in this world?"
Theresa hugged her and patted her shoulder. "Calm down, honey. It doesn't matter. We just won't associate with her anymore."
Cristina looked up at Theresa. "Is that so? We can avoid contact with that crazy woman, but what about
Eugene? He will still suffer." Thinking of Eugene, she felt uncomfortable again.
Knowing about her worries, Theresa comforted her, "Eugene isn't a child and he knows how to deal with her. Let's go eat. The dinner is ready."
Brenda had just finished cooking dinner when Eugene's mother arrived.
Theresa took Cristina to the dining table, holding her hand and calling Leonard and Ben over.
It was almost ten o'clock when all of them finished dinner.
Glancing at Charlie, Theresa said, "I think you should go now. It's not convenient to keep you here tonight."
Charlie nodded. "I'll come here again tomorrow."
Theresa shrugged casually not bothering to argue with him.
Charlie went out and opened the door when he saw Eugene standing outside, apparently about to knock. He asked curiously, "Why did you come over?"
"I heard my mother was here. How's Cristina?" Eugene looked very anxious.
Recalling Cristina's angry look Charlie answered, "Maybe, not quite well. Theresa is with her."
