Chapter Chapter EIGHT
JUDE's POV:
The underworld is not the prettiest place of all, to say the least, but it has its' special charm to it. Especially for demons, the smell of cursed and broken souls fills the air, probably reminding them of home and violence, both which relax them deeply.
Jude's mind was still stuck in Seth's living room, his memory trained on the desperate and helpless expression of his darling boy. So guilty, so lost, the only thing holding back him from pleading for Jude's help was his infamous pride. Not as if he could have helped him, even if he didn't have to leave for a short while... There was nothing to be done there, Seth had to learn on his own skin, not to lie to himself, and especially to his master... But given the boy rarely ever listened to him, now two little mortal girls' heart broke.
Suzy meant next to nothing to Jude, and he straight up despised Veronica's very existence, but he had a soft spot for watching his darling hurt, and he had to miss it today, because of none other than that enormous prick - Lucifer.
As his thoughts wandered back to the night before, a smile danced in the corner of his lips, enjoying the memory of the boys' inexperienced, yet hungry and sensual touches. The perfect match of pride, and machoism, the combination of strength and brokenness... so much to explore, and so much to make of him. Seth was no ordinary mortal soul, he knew that well, but still, it fascinated him how wrapped up he could become in a simple human for Jude did not care much about mortals. Seth would not give up easily, and that made him the sweetest dessert of all. "My Lord"
The mongrel's voice broke him from his deep thoughts, and his unfriendly, stern eyes settled on the low-life creature. Some unfortunate souls who angered their masters, or just didn't seem quite fun anymore, got turned into hideous things, such as this one before him... some combination of a dog and a lizard, his tongue poking out every time it spoke.
"Lucifer is awaiting me" Jude spat with ease, not planning or wanting to offer any respect or comfort to the beast. It was nothing but an animal for him, even lower. Despite popular belief, demons didn't come after just any soul, or to be precise, aristocrats, such as Jude or Lucifer, didn't. It would always have to be something exceptional since they sometimes had to spend years fulfilling their wishes... demons picked those who had the potential of evil and greatness in them at the same time... And well, those who turned out to be mongrels, were not the type of souls that Jude had any respect for.
"He has a guest at the moment, sir" the mongrel murmured, almost too afraid to breathe in the presence of the other. The demon's lips twitched into a small snarl, and the lizard started to shake as he stooped even lower.
"So now he will have two guests." with that, Jude pushed the thing away and with a wave of his hand opened the enormous door in front of him, walking into the mansion of the underworld's king. Lucifer wasn't someone Jude was very invested in, he didn't like his tasteless humour and his childishly overdramatic actions, but like everyone else, he had to follow the rules too, and so he couldn't just turn down when he was summoned by such a person. "Judas..." recalling the only one who dared using this nickname for him, he already knew who he would find in the Hall, sitting across from Lucifer. Long legs, a perfect hourglass figure, and blood-red lipstick. Unmistakable. "Vix" Jude concluded nonchalantly, acknowledging the demon woman. He knew all too well that she and Lucifer had their fair share of nights together, and he really hoped he didn't walk in here to experience one of those. Luckily, Vixen seemed to be dressed - at least to the point of appropriateness. A short black leather skirt, and a deep velvet corset, pushing her breaths up and together. Offered not much to Jude, he didn't find joy in the female body but that was rather known in the demon world.
"Is there a reason you summoned me, while you were already accompanied, Lucifer?" Jude pressed the matter, eager to leave as soon as possible. Lucifer sat lazily on the couch, his long legs rested upon the smoking table, his eyes trained on Jude. One could argue, he looked like an angel, the only thing that reminded Jude of the devil's origin, were his beautiful almost white-blonde locks, falling to his shoulders, and his divine pretty face. Let's just say Vixen wasn't the only one who had woken up in Lucifer's bed before.
"Why, of course. Vixy brought it to my attention, that you had stolen a client from her... She says she had already mentioned it to you, that she is trying to lure the boy, and you used the situation to your advantage" Lucifer explained, boredom written all over his face. Jude was sure, the only reason for this drama, was because Vixen whined too much about it.
"He wasn't marked, was he?" he asked with a sly smile. The women cocked an eyebrow, boiling with anger, but she didn't let it show too much just yet.
"Listen up, you know the unwritten rules. He was my target... You know how special he is" she hissed.
Jude sighed a little, walking across the hall and pouring a little bit of whiskey for himself, sensing this will be a rather tiring day.

"He is special, indeed. We match" he announced, leaving the other too a little surprised. Lucifer burst out in a laugh, and while trying to contain himself, he sipped a little bit of his drink as well.
"I don't believe you" the women stated easily, fuelled by her anger. If they really matched with Jude, it would be a lost game for her. There is no way Lucifer will order a match to be broken, that's just too much, even for him. "You don't have to, but it's true. I was drawn to him, and I could lure him from you because he is drawn to me... Simple as that. You'll never be competition, in his case." The man turned to the other two, slowly taking a sip from his drink, and eying the women with distaste and contained irritation.
"If it's true, then he is rightfully yours but... There is only one way to tell" Lucifer cut in, after he stops giggling at the situation, and got serious again. The ruler couldn't tell if Jude was bluffing, but if he were, it would be an insane lie. Jude had never got close to match anyone, even from among his own, demons, let alone a mortal. It had to be one hell of a soul to pair up with Jude's, and now Lucifer was slightly curious as well, of what that brat could really have up his sleeves. Matches for demons weren't like the "one true love" situation. Many demons didn't live or get together with their match, it was more like soul compatibility... Matches could either destroy each other completely or lift the other up, and perfect them in a yin-yang manner. The latter was quite rare, but it was even less likely that a demon's soul would find a worthy partner in a mortal, especially Jude's, who was more complicated than women on her period, or so did Lucifer think. "He is still young; he won't die anytime soon for me to bring him down to you" Jude pointed out. He didn't really want to stress Seth with this, and he wasn't exactly sure if he wanted Seth to know about the match. It was quite unrelated, if not for this unimportant argument... Seth was important because of his potential, and Jude knew he could make the boy something never seen, something great, and it would be all his... But the fantasy had to wait, and so did all this mess. "There are other means to bring a mortal down here. Or are you afraid you'll turn out to be a big fat liar, Judas?" Vixen taunted, pressing her red lips together, as she watched the other stand her stare. She never really enjoyed Jude's company, simply because it offended her when someone didn't appreciate her beauty in the way that they were supposed to... And, as the name suggests, she didn't think very highly of Jude's morals, which was a funny offence from a demon. "I'll think about it... But I need time... He needs time."
"Oh, how sweet, are you concerned for him?" Lucifer mocked with a smirk, but Jude didn't sink to their childish level, he felt like he was above their stupid games. With a gentle eye-roll, he sighed.
"He is very promising; I have to be careful with what I do to him... But in time, I'll bring him down, and prove my point, if that's fair enough" with that he put his glass down, and crossed the Hall again, ready to leave.
"You make me jealous, Jude..." Lucifer made a pissy face at him, then grinned knowingly.
"I highly anticipate meeting your match, dear." he added, and Vixen scoffed sarcastically, while she got up, and place herself on Luci's lap, now that she sensed that they will soon be alone.
"Just a trouble-some boy with an interesting soul... To match Jude's taste, I guess he is a doormat in person" she chuckled, and Jude smiled along with her, just because he imagined how offended Seth would be to hear this... Most likely he would go all red and try to fight Lucifer, then tell the Vixen off, just before reassuring them that he is, in fact, not gay at all.
The thoughts settled a peaceful smile on the demon's lips, and so he turned one last time towards his hosts.
"Is that all you have summoned me for?" he glanced at Lucifer, and after a small pause, the demon nodded.
"We won't wait forever, Jude" Vixen reminded him in a sharp tone, which to that he just gave a stern nod. There was nothing to be done about that horrible persona, he just had to endure her existence as long as she was around.
