Kade's P.O.V

My father, brother, Madis dad, and I, along with a few of our pack enforcers piled into one of my brother’s SUV’s. We wasted no time in starting our search for answers. ‘I’ll find you Madi, just hang on a little longer.’ I pushed through the frail link. I had no idea if she heard me, but I meant what I said.

“When we arrive at Cedar wood pack keep your eyes open, you’ll be looking for our Luna. She’s 5′ tall, raven black hair, and hazel eyes, She also has a crescent moon on her right shoulder. Anyone lays eyes on her I want to be the first one to know.” I stated sternly, My Alpha dominance rolling into the vehicle. I watched as every head nodded in agreement as we pulled in front of the Cedar wood packhouse.

The alpha of Cedar wood pack greeted us and invited us into his office immediately to speak without the prying eyes of the pack members.

Sitting down in the office I spoke “We have reason to believe your son has taken Our Luna. Madilynne.”

“I’m sorry, He’s always been a troubled boy. I thought putting him in pack prison for a few years after the incident would have deterred his affections for Madilynne. This is my fault.” His shoulders slumped forward as he ran a hand down his face, clearly exhausted. I felt bad for the Alpha.

“You’re god damn right it’s your fault. You were suppose to protect her! Instead, my baby girl was assaulted by your son, he should be dead right now.” Alpha Finn snarled, pure anger radiating from him.

“Now isn’t the time, we need to focus on finding Madi” My father said gripping Alpha Finn’s shoulder gently.

“If anyone knows where he is, it would be Austin. His best friend.” He said looking at me.

The heavy door then creaked open and a man around my age stepped through “Alpha, you called for me?”

“Sit boy, they have questions for you” He directed Austin to a seat.

“Do you know where Miles is?” I plainly stated. I didn’t bother introducing myself, I wanted answers. I want my mate. My question was met with silence as he hung his head and stared at the table between us. I was growing impatient.

Slamming my fists on the table and rising from my seat, leaning closer I growled out “Where. Is. He.” I pressed my Alpha dominance on him making him squirm, he was holding something back.

“Please, he has my mate. I can’t say anything or he’ll kill her.” He said through clenched teeth. I snarled. “HE HAS MY LUNA NOW TELL ME WHERE HE IS OR ILL RIP YOUR THROAT OUT” I roared. He cowered down further, bending his neck in submission. “20 miles out of town there’s an abandoned jail, you’ll find him there.” Of course, he was close. The four of us left the office and headed for the vehicle.

Jumping into the SUV I unlocked my phone to search for the abandoned building. My screen displayed a message from an unknown number so I opened it quickly.

Message Received From UNKNOWN 4:39 P.M : ′A real sleeping beauty, wouldn’t you say so Kade?′

An image appeared below the message of Madi chained to a wall unconscious and a bruise marking her cheek. Her wrists were raw and bleeding from the silver-lined cuffs. I clenched my teeth, ” Let’s go, I’m going to kill this bastard!”

My brother drove at high speeds dodging through traffic and soon enough the car was thrown into park and the Four of us were jumping out of the vehicle.

Scenting the air I could smell rogues.

Taking lead on matters I linked My enforcers ‘Search the perimeter and neutralize any threats.’ I watched as the enforcers took off, I then turned towards Madi’s dad and spoke “We’ll search inside I’d like to keep you close since we don’t have a mind link to communicate, we get Madi and were out. ”

“Let’s do this.” Alpha Finn said in agreement.

The Four of us entered the building, checking every room and corner. Clear. We came upon a door that led to another floor below, Alpha Finn and I took the stairs while my father and brother stayed on the main floor in case any rogues came through.

As we neared the bottom steps another door came in view, this one silver. It definitely looked like a cell door.

Opening it, unprepared for what was behind the closed door.

Madi.

Her veins were slowly being taken over by a black fluid. He injected her with wolfsbane!

“Fuck she’s been injected with wolfsbane!” I roared repeating my thoughts aloud

“We have to get her home, doc will know what to do. We need to move quickly before it reaches her heart.”

Shit, we still have to find Katie.

“Katie, we have to find her, Madi wouldn’t leave her behind, and neither will I.”

“Unfortunately we don’t have to look far..” he said as he gestured to a body lying in the corner.

“Go, ill grab her body. She deserves a proper send-off and to rest with her parents.” Alpha Finn sighed sadly.

I picked up Madi and embraced the electric sparks that spread across my body, Goddess how I missed her touch. I inhaled her caramel scent, deeply. Moving back up the steps quickly ‘We’ve got her, time to move.’ I announced to everyone in my pack.

We all piled into the SUV’s and took off in the direction of Alpha Finns pack. “Hold on a little longer love, we’re almost there.” I whispered to Madi, brushing her bruised cheek.

“How far out guys?” I asked worry building in my voice for my mate.

“About 5 minutes out.” My dad replied

Madi let out a low whimper and started to shake violently ” She’s convulsing! We need to get there now!” I held onto her and whispered to her to hang on. Goddess, please let us make it in time.

I jumped out of the car before it even stopped and ran towards the pack doctor “She’s been injected with wolfsbane”

His eyes fell to her “Son there’s no cure for wolfsbane.” He said solemnly looking at Madi in my arms.
