Madilynne

Chapter Exigency

Madilynne’s P.O.V

“Oh Madilynne. Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. Remember your manners when you speak to your Alpha.” His cruel voice commanded.

“You are no Alpha to me.” I gritted out, I could feel the pressure of his dominance pressing down on me, choking the air from my lungs.

SLAP.

My head was thrown to the side as searing pain heated my skin. “Sedate her, we need to move.” Miles voice commanded out.

Another pinch met my skin, This time I completely blacked out.

‘Madi’

‘Madi wake up’ Willow’s weak voice encouraged.

‘Madi get your ass up. Now!’ Willow’s voice grew stronger and louder.

Cracking open my eyes, The moon greeted my sight with its light blue hue. Surrounding me, flickers of fire caught my attention. I could feel grass beneath me as a cool breeze danced across my skin.

Where the hell am I.

Sitting up with a groan, I grabbed my head to stop the throbbing. “She’s awake. Time to start the ceremony.”

Ceremony?

I could faintly hear voices around me, my vision coming into focus again finally.

Looking around, I was surrounded by rogues in both forms. Miles stood in front of me holding some kind of chalice. What the hell is going on.

“What kind of shit party is this?” I rasped out, My voice sounding like nails against a chalkboard. Cringing, I made a move to stand only to have my shoulders and legs pinned down.

“Get off of me! What the hell is going on!” I shouted as I tried to squirm out of their holds.

“It’s our Mating ceremony.” Miles said as his hands skated down my neck longingly. Disgust and fear quickly washed over me, this can’t happen.

“You sick bastard I’ll never be your mate!” God’s what the hell did I get myself into.

Thankfully I heard the familiar howls of Kade and Kole near. “Kill them all!” Miles shouted.

Fighting against the men who were restraining me “NO!”

With the burst of newfound energy, I threw the Rogues off of me. Miles turned and snarled at me “Back down Madi” His voice was commanding, but wavered with a hint of fear. Smiling as I fought against his command “I WILL NOT BOW TO YOU MILES” My voice broke through his command strong and unwavering with Willow’s strength backing me.

Miles turned from me shifting as he ran. Bad move.

Shifting I shook my fur and began the chase.

Running through the heavily wooded area, the trees began to grow denser as I ran through. I could still pick up Miles scent of death.

The smell of blood filled my nose, the metallic scent so strong I could almost taste it.

‘I don’t like this, Find mate.’ Willow whimpered. Unease creeping into my senses.

‘Something feels off. We’ll find him soon.’

Slowly walking closer to the scent of blood, I kept checking my surroundings and listening for anything.

CRACK.

Snapping my head to the left with a growl at the noise, from my right paws thudded closer. Damnit it was a diversion!

Turning quickly, to face whoever was coming. Not quick enough. My body slammed into the earth below me, and then collided with something sharp. Gasping out for air I could feel a branch piercing through my skin, the large wood forcing its way into my flesh. Fuck!

‘K-Kade help. I can’t fight back!’

‘I’m coming, hang on a little longer love!’ Kade’s voice was riddled with concern.

Miles shifted back in front of me, Kneeling he brought the chalice closer, gripping my muzzle upwards and forcing me to drink from it. Choking and trying to expel the contents, a pain erupted from my arm making me shift back. The silver burning my flesh, I screamed out as the fire coursed through my system.

Miles gripped my arms and dripped my blood into the chalice “What the fuck are you doing!” I rasped out through shallow breaths.

‘We’re not healing fast enough!’ Willow shouted. I could feel her unease.

‘I think it might be whatever was in that chalice.’

“Change of plans, Now that I have your abilities I’m going to kill them all.” He laughed out.

Goddess No.

Kade.

‘Kade! Run!’

A ferocious growl came from behind me, Turning I could see Him. His fur, black as night, with glowing green eyes. Kade stood taller than he use to, Towering in an intimidating way.

“NO!” I shouted out as the two clashed snarling and teeth gnawing through flesh. The scent of extreme amounts of blood filled the air, almost choking me.

Trying to move, the pain worsened. I could feel my lungs tightening with every breath around the foreign object inside of me. Reaching behind me, pain shot through my body as I cried out. Finding the branch I snapped it from the tree, taking the pressure off and allowing me to move. Once free, I sucked in a breath and ripped the branch from my body. Biting down on my lip with a whimper as tears clouded my eyes until the throbbing ebbed.

Miles and Kade were still fighting, almost killing each other now. I watched helplessly as Kade’s movements began to slow, He wasn’t healing as quickly.

Gritting my teeth I began to move closer ‘Willow we need to heal faster.’

‘I’m working on it, there’s a lot of damage.’ Her voice carried the same pain I was feeling.

‘Focus on the lungs. We can’t do anything if we die.’

Standing up with the strength that remained, I shouted at Miles as he pinned Kade “Hey Asshole! You might have my abilities but I’m still a fucking Alpha. ”

Shifting painfully into wolf form I snarled at Miles. Rage flooded my system as I looked at Kade’s wounds.

My paws dug into the earth as I pushed forward, launching myself at Miles. Catching his flank in my jaws I shook as hard as I could and threw him into one of the trees.

Miles sprung from the downed tree snarling and dove towards me. I wasn’t as quick, allowing him enough time to sink his jaws onto my shoulder. Howling out as his teeth pierced through I shook his hold, I could feel the blood loss.

Falling to the ground I helplessly shifted back as the pain overrode my commands of fighting. Miles shifted back, walking over he kicked me in the stomach resulting in me coughing up more blood.

“Weak! Now you can watch as I kill him in front of you.” My vision was coming in as flickers.
