Chapter Chapter-41: Edwin
Allison didn't talk about this topic to anyone after that day even though Aztec tried to talk to her and dropped them to the academy. She was calm and talked only when required.
It was her first day at the supernatural academy and she was super nervous. Allison never had any opportunity to manifest her real powers back then but now she was ready to explore herself without any care. "Ali, what's up girl!" Someone flicked her hair from behind as she walked with Ashina to her locker. She turned to see Orenzo standing there with a girl and Callum. He introduced her to Allison as his mate. "So she is the girl who almost died in the club!" She said, looking at Allison. Before she could respond Felicia approached them before she answered on her behalf.
"Yes, she is. But she is not an ordinary human, Cindy!" Cindy, Orenzo's girlfriend, raised her brows at Allison.
"I bet my mate has tried to flirt with you, don't worry I have strong chains around him all the time. He is harmless." Allison smiled at her comment.
"So we are having a new friend! Did you get your syllabus and schedule of classes!" Felicia asked her.
"I arranged it already and in every class one of you will stay close to her." Ashina instructed them all. They all nodded like trained soldiers. Allison wondered if they were behaving because she was special to their king.
"I thought we were the only ones given the duty of accompanying our new guest!" Aidan and Caden walked toward them. Lola and her minion who were beside them. Allison didn't spare them a second glance. She was convinced that they had manufacturing scowls on their faces so wasting time to imagine their normal happy faces would be foolish on her part.
"As I say, All of you. The strict instructions are from your King!" Ashina mentioned.
"Tsk! Why is she so important!" Lola exclaimed. Allison rolled her eyes at her. Cindy held her head from behind before slapping it lightly. Lola jumped and glared at her but didn't say anything. Allison could see they were having a talk in mind- link with those hard gazes.
"I will tell you someday why she is so important, Barbie!" Cindy smiled sweetly at her.
Callum snatched Allison's time table from her hand and looked through it.
"I will take her first, her class is the same as mine!" He wrapped his arm around her shoulders before pulling her with him. Allison stiffened but Ashina growled in warning at him from behind and he immediately withdrew his arm.
They walked to her first class and Callum pulled Allison with him to the last desk. Boys and girls were chatting loudly, doing fun and making out at the side but as they saw Allison they turned their undivided attention to her. Allison wasn't used to being the center of attention so she just skipped looking at any of them and followed Callum.
"New chick!" Someone commented. Allison sighed. Here we go!
A boy of her age drew near her and whistled. Allison looked up at his grinning face. He was too fair to her liking.
"Stay away from her, Titus!" Callum warned him and with his harsh tone and glare, Allison reckoned that he didn't like him. Before Titus could remark, another boy came into her sight.
"Hey, I am Edwin. Don't mind my friend here! Are you new here?" A cute-looking boy with short black curls and fair skin asked Allison. He seemed tolerable.
Allison looked at Callum before nodding at him. "Cool! What's your name beautiful!"
"It's Allison!" she said and Edwin took her hand to shake. She stiffened feeling his cold hand as suddenly his gaze turned frigid with stiff features making Allison halted too. Callum snatched her hand out of his hold before growing at him. "Don't dare to think about it, Edwin. She is from the 'Dark Walkers' and very dear to the Whitlock family. Do I need to explain further?" Callum's hard voice drained the colour from Edwin's face. Though there was not much colour to his fair skin but his eyes....
"Oh God! Is he a vampire?" Allison asked with terror. She recalled that the vampire woman from the mall who almost killed sucked her to death.
Callum nodded, still keeping his gaze on Edwin who sighed.
"I had no intention of hurting her. You know me, Callum. I don't drink on humans! Chill Dude!" Edwin cheered up.
"But we can become friends, Allison. Ashina is my friend too. I hope she won't mind." Allison frowned at his statement. Does Ashina like to be friends with Vampires? Allison recalled her words how a few vampires who volunteered to come under the Lycan king after He conquered the pack after pack.
"I won't mind!" She smiled at Edwin. The professor arrived for the class after they got clicked after a short time. Allison learned a few things about witchcraft in the class. She understood why vampires were there. They love magic more than the werewolves.
Nothing was hidden from their ears. Vampires knew the weaknesses of werewolves and werewolves knew theirs. The difference was that if you want to stand against each other you have to play tactics with the common weapon and that is magic. Magic of a witch or wizard!
"So are you coming for the ball party the day after tomorrow?" Edwin asked Allison as soon as they walked out of the class. Callum stopped pestering him from talking to Allison but Edwin was stubborn and Allison found it cute. He was simply talking randomly to her.
"Which Ball party?" Allison asked.

"Which comes every year. The unmated people from the different packs and covens came to this party and every year it is held by different hosts in different places. Tomorrow it's organised at the 'Golden Masked pride'. The werecat Alpha Mellina will be the host." He informed Allison.
Oh! It's something new!
"Umm. I don't know yet. I will ask Ashina if I would be allowed there!" Allison said.
"All are allowed there, even mated ones. But the ball party is especially for the unmated ones to find their mates on this day as it will be the full moon that night which will be good for the wolves but it can open the other creatures' fate also. So you can come. It will be fun!"
Allison was impressed by his carefree talks. He was not making her spooky with his riddled statements but informative ones.
"Are you unmated? Do you want to find your mate?" Allison asked him as they reached the locker hall. Callum already walked in front of them as she was engaged in conversation with Edwin.
Edwin chuckled. "Only a few vampires are destined to find their mates and some of us are free to choose one for us. So it's not a specific time for us to mate with someone until we get to know we already have a fated one. You know!" Allison nodded. 'So basically they have more freedom than Werewolves. Having a fate can be a blessing or a curse in case you lose them.'
"What about you? Did you find someone? I can see you are human but are you in any relationship?" He asked Allison curiously, breaking her reverie. She blinked up at him a few times. From her peripheral view, she saw Ashina walking to them. "I.. I'm not there yet. I am more focused on my studies and career for now." Allison responded awkwardly with a smile before turning to him.
"But she does have someone who wants her to the extent of the end." But they heard Ashina's rigid voice from behind.
