Lycanthropy

Chapter Chapter Eleven

We had taken a bus, filled with unmated females and males, from the Mountain, to the other packhouses, to see if their true mates were to be found within my pack first. As they hadn’t been traveling much towards each other, they couldn’t be certain, that their mates were closer than they might have thought.

We did this, because I wanted to be sure that the unmated wolves, that were coming with me to the mating ball, were truly certain, that their mates would be outside of my territory. Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to partake in this ball.

But it was not for two more days before we had to go there. I wanted to stay in my office, to work around the last pages, to sort through, and be finished before we left. But of course, Amy thought differently. She had dragged me to a shop filled with the most expensive gowns and dresses, for me to pick one out from.

They were ranging from five-hundred to over two-thousand Dollars, and I was thinking it to be a waste of money.

“No.” I said with a bored face.

“Hell no!”

“Goddess sake, I’m not wearing that.”

“Yes! This should be the one.” I smiled widely.

“Really?” Amy said, with a smile that couldn’t grow any wider.

“No.” I wiped the smile of my face, and let it drop to its usual form, and she pouted.

I had tried on for, I don’t know how many dresses, ballgowns, and skirts, in even more countless colours and shapes, that I was getting extremely tired. From here on out, I decided that I hate dresses. No matter how they looked.

My figure looked ridiculous in them, my muscles and strong walk, was far from ladylike and thus I didn’t want to forsake my own character, by wearing one of those constricting outfits.

“Alpha?” The owner of the shop politely asked my attention.

“Yes?”

She sighed, relieved to be allowed to talk to me.

“I don’t want to disrespect you, but I might have something, that suits your body a bit more.” She delicately put it.

After a few minutes, I had put on the clothes that were given to me by the female. And I was appreciative of her help, this was something that I wanted to wear. It was smooth and elegant, showed my curves, was still able to move in it freely and I felt comfortable in it.

On route to the south:

We had taken the jet, to fly south, and I stayed seated in the back of it. There was plenty of room to bring the forty unmated wolves within the plane, and they were all rejoicing and happy to go and see the King. Champagne, wine and plenty of food, was consumed during the few hour trip, and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Terrence came sitting next to me, and gave me a kiss on the forehead. I didn’t mind his caressing, he had been doing it ever since he became my Beta, and some people were looking strange to his attachment to me. But this wasn’t romantical love, he is my most trusted person, I confide in him with every emotion I have. He is my friend, my brother, my place to unburden myself. Not sexually, but just, well I don’t know… He is just my pressure-release-valve.

“Are you alright?” He asked me.

“Yes, I just have a headache. My pack can be extremely loud, when they are happy.”

“You must be the first Alpha, that is complaining about her pack being happy.” He chuckled.

“Yes, well I’m no ordinary Alpha, am I?”

“No, that you are not.”

He took my hand in his, and I decided to take a nap.

The alarm on my phone went off after an hour, at which I had set it, and I had woken up, drooling on Terrence his shirt and thus his chest. I tried to wipe it away, but he shrugged and put his jacket over it.

We were bound to land soon, so I took my light vest from the overhead compartment, and buckled in my seat again.

When the plane got to a stop, everyone stood up, and I growled. Instantly everyone sat their asses down again, so I could step out first. This was the first time, I had taken my pack someplace else, other than my own territory, and I wanted to make sure, that everything was alright.

Even though I’m not loveable, it doesn’t mean that I don’t care for their well-being. I’m proud to be their Alpha, and I’m protecting them with my life. They are mine.

“Good morning Alpha! Did you have a good trip?” A man at the landing-site said.

I smelled his scent, strong, but not an Alpha.

“Yes it was fine. Who do I have the honour, to speak to?” I asked him.

“My apologies, I’m one of the King’s Delta’s, Beni, assigned to welcome you and escort you to my King’s establishment.” He said.

“Show me the way, Beni.” I replied, while Omegas were unloading the plane, and my pack members stepped out behind me.

Apparently I was walking fast, as the Delta was having a hard time to keep up my gait. He even had to hop sometimes between his paces, so I slowed down, just a little. I’m not here to embarrass anyone.

Just here to attend to the ball, get some sleep, and leave again tomorrow. That’s it.

We had been brought inside the compound, and got all assigned to separate rooms, even for all my forty pack members. And the reason for that should be, that if they meet their true mate, they could mate, privately. I only imagined that at the end of the night, the whole building was having a massive load of sex.

Which got me another headache, as I anticipated to hear a lot of moans and screams of pleasure, when I wanted to sleep.

I had asked for lunch to be brought up to my chambers, and upon eating it, Amy got in.

I slightly growled, for her to just enter my room, without asking for it, and she apologized.

“Sorry Alpha, but at home aren’t many doors, as the cave has it’s natural walls to hide behind. So I guess I’m not used to door-protocol.” Amy said.

I grunted, but didn’t got mad at her. She was right about the cave, the stalactites were keeping others out, as they blocked the sight inside the chambers. Now I’ve come to think about it, I was actually missing the natural life style, we had been creating there. This room was square, had windows, a big king-sized bed, adjoint bathroom and room service. All the things that I didn’t had, at home.

All of these luxurious things, weren’t made for me. I never had these kinds of things, and I had never an urge to get it either. A comforting bed, a steak and a place of my own, is all that I needed.

Amy told me to get ready, she was here to help me get into the clothes we had bought at the shop. Besides that, she had brought along a suitcase filled with make-up, hair supplies and perfume.

She was giving me a makeover, and I let her have her fun, apart from some of the things that I really didn’t want. Like lipstick, blush, rouge, foundation, eye-shadow, hairpins, hairspray, and some other things, of which I didn’t know the name.

“Then what can I use?!” Amy yelled.

I pointed to one thing that was displayed on the bed.

“That is a comb! I can’t work my magic with only a comb!” She yelled.
