Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Brielle
I turned my feet and back to my pack to demand from Jade, Why did she do this to me? I had known Jameson for the last two years, but she was my sister. How could she do this to
me?
I was also going to complain to Mom about how Jade broke my trust and was sleeping around with my boyfriend. Wiping my tears, I now ran at the same speed at which I was running earlier. Mom had given me perfume, because of

which my scent had been masked so that it could help
me elope. I could leave without
any trance.
I received another message from Jameson asking about my location.
I scoffed and decided to ghost this scumbag. These people were called rogues for a reason. No amount of education and
training could clean the
dishonesty and unloyalty from their blood; after all, an apple never falls from their tree.
I was pissed before anything, and I had planned to slam Jade’s beautiful face in the wall for this.
I knew all the secret passages of the packs that were made to be used at the time of any
attack, so my first stop was Jade’s room.
I was about to enter her room behind the big painting in her room when I heard Jameson’s name being spoken, and I couldn’t stop myself from eavesdropping.
“That idiot was thinking that I was serious with him. That’s why he proposed to me for the wedding after Bri suggested he elope,” Jade said with a chuckle.
Tears welled in my eyes, realizing that until that day
they had been in contact. Not

just that, Jameson’s first choice was Jade. Everything that he said, including the fact that he
agreed to leave everything behind for me,
“But I didn’t mind showing him the place where he belonged. I meant I wasn’t that foolish to choose him as my husband when my stupid sister was giving me the Lycan
husband willingly.” She
laughed. “I wonder how anyone can be so stupid,” she added between her laughter.
I was about to confront her
now when I heard the voice
that I never dreamed of hearing.

“She is not stupid, Jade. It’s just that I’ve created a wall of my fake love around her so thick that she does everything that I want without her knowing.
My foot stumbled, and I
grabbed the wall beside me for
support.
Mom?
Fake love? What did she mean by that?
“I can’t believe how she fights with her own father for me while he does everything for her betterment. I had poisoned her mind to the point that all she saw was negativity for everything that he does good.”

I couldn’t take this anymore.
I sat on the floor before, and I would have fallen to the
ground with this new
revelation.
“She assumed his cold and rude behavior as his hatred,
but only if she knew that after the death of his fated mate, her mother, his heart too died, leaving no emotions inside him.”
Mom was Dad’s fated mate?
Not his one–night stand? Why did Mom share this with me?
Then why did Dad leave her and marry Emaline Mom—a witch, to be exact? It seemed like I had lived my whole life

loving the wrong people and hating the right people.
I should have understood that there was a reason that Mom loved Dad until her deathbed.
I should have understood that there was a reason why Mom asked me to work on my relationship with Dad instead of hating him for abandoning both of us.
However, I made a fool of myself by allowing my rage and hatred to dominate my reasoning and to accept everything my witch mother said.
“True. She is assuming that I’m sacrificing my life by becoming

her substitute bride, but the truth is that this is what I want. Stupid fool!” Jade laughed. “When I heard Dad saying that the marriage proposal was from the royal family, I controlled myself from
squealing in joy, but that happiness didn’t last long when I learned that it was for that
b*tch.”
“And that’s why I came up with a plan of elopement. In this way, we will kill two birds with one stone. One, goodbye to the chapter of Brielle from our life, and second, you will get settled in the royal family,” Mom said, more like
appreciating her acting skill.

“I made Brielle make the decision to elope with her boyfriend. The funniest part was that she was thanking me for ruining her life. She had no idea that when I would ditch her by telling everything to Warren at the last moment, I bet even he would be totally disappointed and would abandon her.” Mom, aka the Witch, laughed.
“Yup! Dad won’t be saving her ass when she will be getting punished for insulting the Lycan King’s brother and his family,” Jade added.
“I should go now. I have told everyone that you’re helping Bri get ready, as she doesn’t

want to get ready by omegas because of her bad mood. Also, I’ve got to tell Warren about her precious daughter eloping at the last moment and that will be confirmed when his warriors will catch them red- handed.”
“Mom, words won’t be enough. Make sure you’ll have proof as well,” Jade reminded.
“Don’t worry, babe. I’ve saved those trump cards to use later.”
Trump card?
Maybe all the things that I shared with that b*tch Or maybe even worse. After all, I used to consider my so–called stepmother as my best friend. I

had no idea how and when she was using those details against me, but for now, both of them had no idea that was listening to them and were oblivious to the storm that I was going to bring into their lives by playing with my feelings and using me to their advantage.
The fact that my scent was masked was a plus for me, and I was going to use it against them.

Mom left the room to check the arrangement, leaving Jade alone. I waited for the right moment, and after a while, I finally got it when Jade entered

the washroom to wash her face before applying makeup. I walked out of the hidden spot
and waited for my sweet sister
to come out.
And the moment she did, her eyes widened in shock.
“Bri..”
Before she could have gotten a chance to see what I was doing here, I attacked her n*eck, especially at a specific nerve used to make any werewolf unconscious for hours. I
quickly held her before she fell to the ground.
I wasn’t that bad, sister, was I?
Pulling her unconscious b*dy

away, I locked her into her own
wardrobe and smirked,
knowing I had completed half of my work.
While I started getting ready for the engagement, I watched Jameson call me nonstop.
‘I won’t say goodbye for the last time, James. I will just leave you without you even realizing it,’ I thought, accepting the fate that my father had decided for me rather than getting fooled by the people who were acting to love me.
