LUNA: The Invisible Princess

Chapter 25: Eternal Place

[Third Person POV]

King Edward and Queen Lumeena felt happy but, at the same time, sad. Happy because the two princesses have returned, but sad because they are still unconscious.

"Mother, what happened to our daughters?" Lumeena asked, her heart sank watching her beloved daughters. They are currently in the twins' room and watching them.

The Goddess of Moon and Hunt, Luna, let out a sigh. "No one knows the reason why they are still unconscious until now. Maybe it's because of the fusion of their bodies. I guess that their bodies suffered the consequences of what happened..."

They all let out a deep sigh.

A few days passed by with no improvements in the condition of the twins. The King has summoned various wizards and priestesses to look at the condition of the two princesses. But not even one has succeeded in awakening them.

The people of Evilandia found out the condition of the two princesses, so the prince formed a plan. Evilandians are half magic users and half-demons. They have horns and scary faces. Dark powers are the only abilities of every creature of Evilandia. Their King was also unconscious from twelve years ago until now. And the only ones who can wake him up are the twin princesses of the Faraway Kingdom and they must take them whichever way possible.

"Prince Luvian, how will the King wake up if the twins were also unconscious until now?" asked Agatha, the right hand of Prince Luvian. What Agatha said makes sense.

"Call the priestess to get here," he commanded, and Agatha quickly obeyed.

A little while later, the priestess came in with Agatha.

"What can I serve you, my dear prince?" asked the priestess named Urduja. She had an ugly face that looked like an old witch and was carrying a very strange and ugly scepter. Urduja is so old and has long served in the Kingdom of Evilandia.

"I want you to know how to wake up the two princesses," he ordered, and the priestess was surprised.

Well, everyone knows about the current situation of the Faraway Kingdom.

"I will do as you command, dear prince. Give me three days to find out." Urduja replied.

"Good, Urduja. Give me good news in the coming three days otherwise, you already know what will happen to you." said the prince, and his warning frightened the priestess.

"Yes, dear prince."

The prince laughed evilly when he was left alone.

"It’s almost there, father. We will get the twins, no matter what. When you wake up, we will rule the entire world! Bwahahaha!" he said and suddenly the sky rattled angrily.

At the Faraway Kingdom.

A high priestess together with two young men entered the palace to check on the condition of the two princesses. She will be the last priestess to look at the twins. She is Evangeline. She lives on Mountain Everest, located at the very top of the town of Aguadilla. Evangeline is known throughout the town for her medicine and, most of all, she almost knows everything.

When she heard what had happened to the princesses, she didn’t hesitate to go with Joaquin and Bryle when they sought her help.

They were ushered into the twins’ room, and this was the first time Joaquin had seen the two princesses. Bryle, on the other hand, is dumbfounded by the two princesses. He couldn't guess who Luna was. He remembers the day they communicated even though he couldn’t see her.

But Bryle couldn't explain his feelings when he looked at the princess on the left side of the bed. He stared at the princess's gentle and goddess-like face. He didn't know, but he just saw himself approaching the princess.

"Bryle! What are you doing?" Joaquin was surprised to see Bryle walking toward the princess, but he didn't seem to hear him and his eyes seemed to be glued to the princess. He was about to approach Bryle to stop him when he felt something inexplicable in his whole being. He just looked at the princess on the right side and was dumbfounded, too, like Bryle did. His heart pounded fast as he stared at the princess's gentle face while asleep. He put his hand on his chest because it keeps racing. The pounding inside his chest is too loud, and it makes it hard to breathe. Bryle feels the same way as well.

The High Priestess Evangeline just watched what happened to the two young men. She looked at the two princesses and shook her head in disbelief.

"Joaquin, Bryle," she called their attention to stop them from going further. At the same time, the two turned to the high priestess and were surprised when they noticed that they were already next to the princess. The two quickly stepped away and swallowed hard. Evangeline shook her head in amusement.

The door opened, and the King and Queen, together with Goddess Luna, entered. The three quests paid their respects.

"High Priestess, what is the plausible reason why our daughters fell in this state?" the King asked Evangeline.

"I'll try to find out, Your Majesty," Evangeline said and approached the two princesses.

Evangeline closed her eyes, and suddenly, a strong wind blew harshly throughout the room. Fortunately, their reflexes were fast, and they put a shield on each other. Goddess Luna put a barrier in the entire room so that the high priestess wouldn’t damage the entire palace.

They saw that the high priestess seemed to have a hard time. Evangeline chanted many spells that they couldn’t understand because of the Latin language she used. It took a few hours to cast until Evangeline was gasping for air and almost fell on the floor. Joaquin was quick to help her.

Everyone immediately approached the high priestess and couldn’t understand her expression.

"What did you see?" Goddess Luna asked the high priestess.

Evangeline shook her head. "I cannot wake them, Your Majesty and Your Highness," she said.

The news saddened the King and Queen. "But I found out something that might have helped..." she said when she got up and the Queen held Evangeline’s hand.

"What is it? Please, tell us..." said the Queen, with a hopeful tone.

"No one can wake them up but themselves. Their spirits are not in their bodies; they are currently on another side of the world. They can only return when they want to..." everyone sighed.

"Then where in the world are they?" Goddess Luna asked.

The High Priestess smiled.

"In the world of eternity or the so-called Eternal Place..." everyone frowned except Goddess Luna.

"In the world of eternity? Where is that?" the King asked in astonishment.

"It's not possible... We have to find a way to connect with their spirits before it’s too late..." Goddess Luna said worriedly. The High Priestess nodded because she knew what the goddess meant.

"Joaquin and Bryle are our keys..." said the high priestess, surprising the two young men.

"Huh? Key?" the two wondered. How did they become the key to waking up the princesses? The two laughed, but when they saw that the high priestess was serious, they just scratched the back of their neck.

"Yes, you are destined to help the princesses. It is already engraved in your palms. Find the five stones of life. The Water Stone, Fire Stone, Air Stone, Earth Stone, and the Heavenly Stone. You must find the stones of life because it is the only thing that can connect to their spirits." the two young men nodded at what the high priestess said.

"But where shall we find them?" Joaquin asked with no idea what stones to look for. Even Bryle knew nothing. The high priestess sighed.

"Look for them in the water, in the fire, in the air, in the earth, and in... eternal place..." they sighed at what they heard.

"Eternal Place? Where is that place? Didn't you say that the spirits of the two princesses are there? How can we get there?" Bryle said, puzzled. The two shook their heads. It was a hard mission for them because the entire world was at stake.

They were stunned and kept wondering how they could get the stones. They wonder why the two of them were destined. A lot of questions linger in their minds. How did they become destined to save the princesses? They don't even know them.

But the high priestess just smiled knowingly. The King and Queen took a deep breath and looked at the twins who were sleeping peacefully.

~~~~~
[Luna]
I woke up in an unfamiliar place. There are plenty of beautiful flowers and a tree. I looked around and found Leena beside me. She groaned and opened her eyes.
"Luna?" she uttered and smiled.
I smiled sweetly at Leena. She got up and hugged me tightly.
We looked around the place. I saw nothing but flowers, a huge tree, and just a pond filled with clean water. It looks so peaceful and calming.
I also feel light.
"Where are we?" Leena exclaimed.
"I don't know... why are we here?" I answered and wondered why we came to this place. I don’t remember either.
We walked around but found nothing.
I flew up and saw the vast area where we were. Different colorful flowers and surprisingly, there is only one tree in the middle where we were currently at.
"What is this place?" Leena exclaimed next to me. We flew to the east side, and it took us two hours to travel when we stopped at a large rock that we saw and rested for a while.
Surprisingly, we didn’t feel any heat or cold. We also don’t feel tired and most of all, we don’t feel hungry.
We continued flying for a few minutes until we saw a huge white castle. It looks very beautiful and we gasp in awe because we saw people dress in white, too.
I looked at ourselves and found out that we also wore a white dress. Leena and I frowned. Because they are wearing the same clothes as us, men or women.
We landed in the middle of a crowd. They were talking and laughing as we walked.
They both turned their heads and smiled at us. Leena and I smiled in return.
"Salve!" (Hi!)
"Salve!"
"Grata Aeterna." (Welcome to the Eternal Place)
We frowned because we could not understand what they said.
"Huh?" they must have noticed our confusion, so they giggled.
"Uh, sorry if you didn't understand us." We just smiled at them.
"Welcome to the Eternal Place!" they all said in unison.
"Eternal Place?" said Leena, and her eyes widened. When I realized what place we were at, my eyes also widened.
Why did we come here? Are we dead? No... it can't be...
We panic and fidget.
"Are we dead?" I ask.
I can't be dead. We can't be dead.
They just stared at us and shrugged.
"You're not dead yet..." said a deep voice, and we turned to where it came from. We sighed in relief because we were not dead yet.
A bearded old man with white hair walked toward us with a smile. Well, he looks like Santa Claus. Hehe.
"I'm not Santa Claus, dear." Leena and I giggled. I guess she thinks the same way. Which causes everyone to laugh.
"Then who are you?" Leena asked.
He smiled. "I'm Ishmael. I'm the first one that is stranded in this place." Our eyes widened, and we gasped.
"Woah! Then you build this castle?" I asked, in curiosity. He chuckled in amusement.
He leads us inside the castle and we gasp as we get inside. My jaw dropped at what I saw. It was so beautiful and big! Chandeliers are so big with ice crystals around them. I tilt my head, only to find enormous portraits on the wall. And there's also a big spiral staircase going above and it's so freaking awesome and all sparkly!
"Wow..." I said in amusement.
He again leads us into a big double door, which suddenly opens for us. Incredible!
Our eyes widened as we got inside. There's a very huge and long table consisting of 10 groups. Plenty of people were there, sitting and looking in front.
They looked at us and smiled.
"Ipsi autem geminos! (They are twins!)" said the woman with a big smile plastered on her lips and the others giggled. Again, I don't understand what she's saying. Leena and I just smiled as we looked at them. I swear I could get a nosebleed anytime soon.
Ishmael smiled and shook his head.
"Grata Aeterna." (Welcome to the Eternal Place)
We sighed when we heard a woman's voice.
We averted our gaze in front. An exquisite woman was sitting in an elegant white chair. Her hair is long and has ornaments on her head. She is like a goddess of beauty. But I know she isn’t the actual goddess.
"Quid tibi nomen est?" she said again and my forehead furrowed together even more.
"I swear! I could get a nosebleed anytime soon!" I snorted.
Everyone laughed at what I said and the woman who asked us smiled in amusement.
"She asks what's your name..." Ishmael said. Leena and I shrugged.
"Okay, people! We don't understand what you're all saying... but anyway, I'm Luna!" I said, and they nodded. And laughter echoed throughout the vast hall.
"And I'm Leena!" my twin groaned and everyone laughed.
Leena and I pouted our lips. But later on, we smiled because they welcomed us all warmly. Ishmael guided us to the table in the middle where the woman who asked was. Her name is Ingrith. Ishmael says that she is the second person who stumbled into this place.
I still don’t understand how we ended up in this place. Surprisingly, we remember nothing but our name and we knew that Leena and I were twins. And the world we come from is the Moondrous World and we have power. That’s all the information that stuck in my and Leena’s mind.
Why don't we remember anything?
Who am I? Who are we?
Why are we stuck here?
They said we are not yet dead, then what is the reason why we're here if we're not yet dead?
I'm sure there's a reason behind all this.
But for now, we will stay here and enjoy ourselves like the rest.
