Chapter 24: Missing Part 2
Joaquin immediately noticed two gigantic statues of a girl who looked the same, so he inquired about the people passing by. Because the face of the statues was very familiar to him.
He approached a girl, who looked sad but smiling while looking at the statues.
"Excuse me?" He called the girl’s attention and the girl immediately turned to him and was stunned, so he gave her a small smile.
"Huh? Y-Yes?" the girl stuttered.
"I would just like to ask about the statues you were staring at. Who are they?" he glanced at the statue again.
"The statues?" the girl asked with eyebrows furrowed together and Joaquin nodded. The girl sighed and stared knowingly at him. Then motioned Joaquin to sit next to her on the bench.
"What's your name first?" the girl asked. Joaquin simply smiled.
"I'm Joaquin." the girl nodded and introduced herself, too. "I'm Venice. The one in the statue is my two friends." Venice said with a sad tone. "They are twins named Luna and Leena..." Joaquin sighs in relief at what he found out. He finally found information about the twins. "... they both saved our world a year ago from the war." Joaquin smiled. In his mind, the two princesses are naturally born with kind hearts.
"Can you tell me where they are now?" Joaquin asked with a hint of eagerness in his voice. Venice frowned and realized something.
"Wait! You didn’t know what happened a year ago? The entire world knows what happened back then, and in fact, they inspired most of the people who were there at the scene." Venice hesitated and stared at the young man skeptically.
Joaquin swallowed, and quite surprised at the same time, felt a sudden wave of nervousness.
"What world are you from?" Venice questioned sternly. And Joaquin fell silent and wondered if he would tell the stranger his real motive. When Venice got no answer, she sighed.
"Look, you can trust me. Did you know that Luna and Leena also came from another world? They said that they came from the Moondrous World and that the world they came from is beautiful." Venice said with a smile that caught Joaquin's attention and also smiled.
"I also came from Moondrous World."
Venice's eyes widened.
"What?! OMG!" Venice's blood suddenly pumped up with excitement. "If you are from Moondrous, can you tell me what Luna and Leena's condition is?" Joaquin frowned at her question.
"Huh? What do you mean? I'm here because I'm looking for the twin princess." Joaquin replied.
Venice was stunned. "I… I thought they had returned to your world..." she stammered. Joaquin shook his head no.
"If they hadn’t returned, then where are they?!” Venice gasped and sadly remembered what had happened before.
"As far as I remember, the moon absorbed them after they saved our world from our enemies. Because of their bravery and heroism, the King ordered the people to build a statue as a commemoration. You can see it everywhere." Joaquin was surprised but felt proud. He just hoped that they were alright wherever they were now.
Venice told Joaquin everything that had happened to the twins since they set foot in their world and how they became friends.
Joaquin was happy because, for the first time in a while, searching for the twins, he finally had news about what had happened to them. He can’t wait to tell the news to the King and Queen.
"Venice, thank you so much for the information about the twins. It's a big help for us. We've been looking for them for a long time now because our world needs them."
Venice smiled. "I'm happy to help. And I'm also glad because I talked to someone about them."
After their conversation, Joaquin bid goodbye to Venice because he decided to return to Moondrous World to break the news to everyone. Even without the two princesses, he brought information that can give hope to everyone.
Upon arriving in the Faraway Kingdom, Joaquin directly went to the throne room where the King and Queen currently were.
“Greetings, Your Majesty and Your Highness,” he greeted as he kneel and bowed.
"Welcome back, Joaquin. Did you gather some news about our princesses?" Queen Lumeena asked, a little hopeful.
Joaquin smiled and nodded.
He immediately told the King and Queen all the information he gathered. While listening, the King and Queen couldn't help but cry. They were happy to know that Luna was no longer invisible.
But something bothers them and they feel uneasy. How could they find the two princesses if they just disappeared like burst bubbles?
~~~~~
At the moon.
A year ago, the unconscious bodies of the twins suddenly appeared on the moon where Luna, the Goddess of the Moon and Hunt, lived in isolation. She was worried as she watched her granddaughters sleeping for a year now. Still no signs of waking up.
They’ve been unconscious for a year and no matter what she does to wake them up, they would never wake up. She already asked for help from other gods and goddesses, but even they don’t know how to wake the twins. They said this is the twins' destiny. But Luna doubted the gods and goddesses as she noticed their strange behavior.
Luna just sighed and didn’t know what to do anymore. Moondrous World is in chaos and they need Luna’s power.
She got up and went to the small lake, where she could see what was happening below. She was saddened by what the Moondrous World had become. Moondrous is also her home when she was still pretending to be an ordinary gifted human.
She always wants to go down again because she misses her daughter, Lumeena, but how will she come back this time if the twin is still unconscious?
Luna looked again at the entire lifeless Moondrous. It became deserted when the twins fell unconscious. The people of Moondrous looked so pitiful right now. Even the gods and goddesses couldn’t do something with the current condition of the world. They tried to plant trees and plants, but they just died.
Until now, they are still looking for a way to wake up the twins.
She went back to her house where the twins were. She stared at them and a decision formed in her mind.
Fortunately, the seal spell cast by the councils was broken and now she could freely go down below. She thought the twins had caused the spell break because she found out that her granddaughter Luna could remove a spell. And she’s glad about it.
She approached the twins and held their hands. She teleported them with her to the Faraway Kingdom.
She teleported them directly to the twin’s room.
Luna looked around the twin's room and smiled. This was Lumeena's room before. She happily left the room, and the maidservant's eyes widened when they saw her. Luna’s beauty mesmerized them.
"Who are you?" a maidservant asked in curiosity while gaping, still wonder-struck at the beautiful woman. The maidservants noticed she looked familiar and was none other than their dear Queen Lumeena.
Luna smiled. "I'm Luna, Lumeena's mother. Can you take me to her?" The maid servant's eyes widened even more. Only now did they see their queen's mother, and they didn't think that she was so beautiful that she looked like a goddess. They did not know that a goddess was really in front of them.
Meanwhile, the King and Queen are currently in the throne room and talking to some students of Moondrous Academy about a mission to find the missing twin princess.
It was at that scene when Luna arrived at the hall.
"You don't have to look for the twins anymore," Luna interjected, and everyone immediately turned their attention to the newcomer.
Queen Lumeena, on the other hand, stumbled upon the newcomer. None other than her mother, whom she hadn’t seen for a long time. And she couldn't believe her mother was here in front of her again.
"Mother?! You're here!" Lumeena exclaimed happily and abruptly stood up in her chair and rushed towards her mother. They immediately hugged tightly and cried with joy.
The people who witnessed it remained to stare at them with a smile and in awe.
After their reunion, Lumeena stared at her mother longingly.
"Mother, I thought we would never meet again for life. But how did you get down again, mother?" Luna smiled and sighed.
"Because of the twins, they removed my curse. They are the reason why I am free to come here again," she said, and Lumeena's eyes widened.
"Twins? Have you seen my children?!" Luna nodded. Because of what they heard, Queen Lumeena and King Edward gasped. And King Edward approached his wife and mother.
"Where are our children, mother?!" Lumeena uttered with excitement, but Luna suddenly felt gloomy.
"That's why I decided to come here." Lumeena and Edward looked at each other. They were nervous at the expression on their mother's face.
"What do you mean, mother?" Lumeena said, feeling overwhelmed.
Luna sighed. "A year ago, the twins appeared on the moon. But... they were unconscious until now, so I decided to bring them here. Because I know you are looking for them. I waited for them to wake up but until now they were still unconscious. I have asked for help from the Gods and Goddesses but even they can't do anything to wake up the twins..." Lumeena covered her mouth and cried over what happened to the twin.
"Where are they now, mother?" King Edward asked, and Luna turned her gaze to him.
"I put them in their room." the King and Queen hurried out of the throne room. Luna followed and left the stunned students, including Joaquin.
He wants to follow to see the two princesses. But they didn't have permission from the King and Queen so they just waited.
"Joaquin, have you seen the princesses yet?" asked Joaquin's friend, Bryle Henderson. Joaquin shook his head no. But Bryle smiled and seemed to remember something and Joaquin noticed that.
"What makes you smile?" Joaquin asked, weirded at Bryle.
"Because I've already met the princesses..." said Bryle with a dreamy smile that surprised Joaquin.
