Love that heals

"My dear mad wife, why will I leave you? Do you think that I expect only that from you? No, I expect your love, but now I will wait lifelong to win your heart. I understood why don't you trust me easily and why you hate men. I promise you that I will heal you with my love," I said giving a peck on her forehead.

She smiled, but I noticed a pain behind her smile.

"What happened sweety? Is there anything else that's bothering you or you want to share with me? Unlike your parents, I will trust your every word and am ready to listen to every issue that bothers you, makes you happy and related to you," I said pulling her into my hug.

"Ashu, you are so sweet," Rudrani said.

"Yes I know because I eat sweets a lot," I said, and she glared at my stupid joke.

"Shall we go out?" I asked. "Where?"

"For a long drive," I replied.

"I want to sleep, Ashu. In my life, I didn't sleep many nights before our marriage, and now I want to sleep.

I was all alone till the day you married me. When you shifted the room, I thought you were fed up with me for nagging the issue. Now, I didn't want to go anywhere, I just want to be with you," Rudrani said with tears. "Don't cry, my baby. Now I am back to you. I never leave you in my life. I love you. Even if you don't love me, I will live my whole life loving you.

Rudrani, you are magical. Until the day I saw you in the TeleVision, I never thought I would love someone this deeply. Your eyes have some power which attracted me immediately. Your eyes show courage, belief, honesty, confidence, love and many emotions. Whenever I see into your eyes, I feel you are the only one for me," I said.

"Ashu, do you get time to watch movies too apart from MBBS? I think you are good at time management," Rudrani said, and I got her indirect prank on me.

"Acha, so you mean I am a filmy type guy and repeating the dialogues from a movie?"

"You are very smart," Rudrani said.

I gave a fake glare to her.

"Now I will show you my smartness," I said and I made her sleep on my lap. I placed continuous kisses on her face making her blush hard. Her blush made me hard to stop kissing her. I stopped after sometime, realizing that Rudrani was fallen asleep in my lap. After some time, I kept her on the bed and went to prepare lunch for her.

I never imagined that my love has gone through so much in her life. I may not go back and change her past, but I will make each day of her future a special day to reminisce. I never let her feel sad. As a doctor, I know well how tough it is for her to love me or to come closer to me. It may take many years, sometimes forever she may not accept me as her husband and allow me to touch her. It's not a problem for me, but I am sure that it hurts her the most. I shouldn't make her feel that way.

I was busy with cooking and two loving hands wrapped around my waist making me shocked, surprised and happy. I held those two hands and kissed them. This is the first time where she hugged me with love.

"Are you hungry, baby? Just ten minutes and I will complete the cooking," I said smiling.

"No, I didn't find you in our room, and I thought everything that happened just before was a dream. I came to you to know whether it's true or a dream," Rudrani said giving me a confused love. "It's true," I answered.

"Did you trust my words? Did you really say that you will be with me forever?"

"Yes!"

"I can't believe it. Usually, I used to dream about my parents loving me and supporting me, but it never happened. So, I thought that I imagined your love and support too," Rudrani said. "Rudrani, trust me once, and you will never regret it," I said.

"What if you regret loving me?" Rudrani asked.

"I know that such situation never arises for me."

"Can I ever love you or be a good wife who fulfills all your wishes and do everything as a wife?" She asked with few drops of tears in her eyes.

I understood her doubt.

"Who said the role of a wife is just to fulfill all the dreams of her husband? Rudrani, you are a perfect human being and kind-hearted girl. I love you as you are. If you are beside me as my wife who supports and inspires me, it's enough for me." "No Ashu, this won't work in the long run. Every human will have their needs, and it's tough to compromise on it. I am not suitable to you, Ashu," Rudrani said.

"Who are you to decide that? I am the one who should decide this. Rudrani, you are educated, and within two years, you will be a doctor. You will take the treatment if it works that's fine. If it doesn't work then let's plan something else. Whatever it is we will be together forever and will face together." I said cupping her face.

"Everyone leaves me and hates me. I know you too will do the same one day. Now you are too blinded by your love for me. Soon it will fade, and you will leave me," Rudrani said again.

I understood her situation completely. Rudrani didn't come out of her trauma yet. She is in a strong belief that no one loves her or stays with her. Rudrani needs hope and assurance that this relationship will work no matter what happens to her and her reaction to treatment. I know it's going to be very tough for me to earn her trust, keep her happy, make her look positive side of her life and build relationships.
