Love conquers all

The Olympus garden was wonderful, well cared for in every detail, full of life, colorful plants and flowers. It was just as one expected to see it in one’s dreams! We arrived in a picnic area; seated at the tables there were people talking and between them, from behind there was my brother, who suddenly turned around. The hateful grin that had once made me nervous on several occasions at that moment cheered me up.

“Hello, Little Bird! You are amazing, death bestows you. ”

“Hello funny guy, as usual don’t waste time making fun of me!”

“You know I love you, right?!” I would not have told him I love you right away, at that moment I felt the need to pull his ears, even if I had just as much desire to hold him tight for how much I had missed him.

“Why did you decide to play the part of the hero? I was almost dead and you were going to have a wonderful life. I met your Mate, she is amazing! ”

“I thought I would be able to save you ...” he said with a tone of sadness and disappointment, then added: “And if I really have to tell the truth, I don’t regret even a little bit of the choice I made. Selene told me that you will have a full life with your Nathan, so you should thank me. ”

“I love you too much more, Little Bird!” He hugged me tightly in his arms, I had immensely missed his scent, his way of holding me and making me feel his love for me, his way of being witty, I even missed his hateful grin.

“Myra, come on I have to introduce you to one more person.” Selene said to me, breaking the embrace with my brother.

“I’ll be there in a moment”; I didn’t know if I’d ever be ready to leave his arms, but that wasn’t my place. At least not yet!

“She is ...” Selene began to speak as we approached the pic - nik table. The woman sitting with her back turned and smiled at me.

“This is Rose, Nathan’s mom.” The resemblance to Silvia, Nathan’s sister, was obvious, the only real difference between the two was their age.

“Hi, Myra. I am very happy to finally meet you. You know, for a mother, knowing that their children are happy is great news. They told me so many good things about you and seeing you in person I realize that not only are they true, but that what I see goes far beyond the simple words with which they described you. I would have loved to be with you, on earth, but unfortunately my destiny had other plans. ”

“Nathan talks to me about you with a lot of love and Ivan is very good with them. Silvia is learning to cook, she prepares her experiments for them...” I said making the quotation mark with the fingers of both hands to underline the word experiments.

“I wish I could have seen their faces !!!”

“To tell you the truth most of the time they’re lucky!” What we were talking about was a funny topic, which we were sharing in harmony. I fully agreed with her that it would be nice if it were possible for her to be with us on earth and in our lives.

“You can tell, don’t worry, I know what it’s like to be in love with your Mate!” I smiled and remembered the story of his parents that Nathan had told me.

“The first thing I’ll do is kiss Nathan, but I don’t hide my fear of returning.”

“I have always been a human and now I will be a vampire. My family has always been a descendant of werewolves. It will be big news for everyone and especially for me.”

“I don’t know what it feels like, but I’m sure with your stubbornness you’ll find a way to make your new life fit perfectly with everything else! Do you know what my motto was?”

“Love conquers all. Everything!” I smiled as she said that and I began to believe it was true for me too. I was about to go back to my love, my Mate, my new vampire life. I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle the news, but I was sure of one thing, that I would soon find a balance, with a little help.

I stayed as a guest in Olympus for the entire time of transformation, spent my hours with my brother and bonding with Rose. When it came time to go back to earth, it was difficult to leave the people who had kept me company during that time, albeit for a very short time, but it had been intense.

“Hello little sister, say hello to mom and dad. Now that you are a vampire, your life will be much more exciting than you used to live. Be very careful, we will see each other again soon! I love you, never forget that!” As he held me in his arms, I replied: “I love you too, funny guy!”

“I want a hug like that too!” Rose said, smiling.

“Say hello to my family, tell them that they are doing a great job and above all that I miss them so much, every single moment. With my heart and spirit I will be with you, forever. Now go, my daughter and be happy.” Rose said to me, holding me all the time in her mother’s arms.

“Remember everything I told you.” Selene advised as I was about to cross the gate of the Olympus border.

“Thanks Selene, I will never forget!” I looked with trepidation at the imposing red door that was in front of me, I breathed a great sigh; I was not ready to stay in Olympus, but at the same time I was anxious to start the new life path that was just a step away waiting just for me.

“Go Myra, fearless! Nathan, your family, your friends, everyone is waiting for the new you!” Selene encouraged me and it worked, because I closed my eyes and took a step over the threshold.

When I opened my eyes again I saw differently. Different in the true sense of the word! Nothing escaped my keen eye, not even the little spider in the corner of the ceiling. I found myself on my bed, in my loft. Even though it had only been three days, it seemed like an eternity. Maybe the fault was of my new worldview? The only sure thing was that I was looking forward to seeing my love, Nathan. I got out of bed quickly and it still didn’t seem true that I wasn’t weak. The first thing I did was look in the mirror.

My reflection in the mirror was slightly different from the human Myra; Myra the vampire was ethereal and she had purple eyes. These were the most obvious signs of the whole transformation, while everything else in my body remained exactly as before, there was only one thing I was disappointed with: my height! I would have liked to have received a few more inches, but I was still the girl who was only 159 centimeters tall.

I went down the stairs quickly, the ability of vampire speed was beginning to like me. I went to the kitchen window and saw Nathan punching a sack hanging from a tree. With the supernatural sight my love was sexier than I had ever seen with my simple human eyes. I looked at him for a long time, delighting my eyes with the most exciting sight I could attend. I didn’t give my brain an extra second to think, I ran towards him with vampire speed; anxious to touch him, to kiss him, to smell his perfume, to be finally in his strong arms.
