Love Comes To Me

Chapter 453: Paternity Testing

Seeing that Eloise was not getting through to her, Juana knelt down in front of Eloise again and begged, "Miss Eloise, I beg you to give me back Solomon, I know that Solomon is very dependent on you, but he was my child. Now he calls

someone else his mother, Miss Eloise, can you understand the pain I feel?"

Juana changed her title in the hope that Eloise would set herself straight.

Her behaviour provoked curious glances from those around her.

Eloise just stared blankly at the woman in front of her, her words like a knife that plunged deep into her heart.

Not daring to look Juana in the eye, she hurried out of the café, almost fleeing.

Sitting in that seat, Eloise felt as if she was being choked, unable to breathe and about to reach the sensation of suffocation.

The sky was still blue and the Agnes sun was shining on Eloise's body.

But she felt as if she were in the middle of winter.

Walking down the street in a daze, Eloise couldn't accept the fact.

Does it mean she really has to opt out? To give Solomon back to his real mother?

She couldn't let go.

A sudden harsh braking interrupted her thoughts and Eloise jerked to a halt.

"Don't you have any eyes, you're walking in the middle of the road." A man cursed as he walked towards Eloise.

At the word, Eloise slowly looked up, a tear-filled cheek, and the man instantly shut his mouth.

He scratched his head with some embarrassment and stammered a little, "You still have to watch the cars a bit on foot, it's rush hour after all." "Thanks."

With those words, Eloise turned and left.

After stopping a car on the side of the road, Eloise returned to the office.

As soon as she entered the office, she saw Hector sitting in his seat, looking at her with a grin on his face.

Thinking about what the woman had just said, Eloise couldn't help her nose from sinking and tears slipping from her eyes like a broken thread. This crying frightened Hector and he rushed to wipe away her tears with a tissue.

"Eloise, what's wrong with you?" Hector asked worriedly.

Looking at Hector's cheek, Eloise suddenly hugged him and said in a trembling voice, "Hector, I'm so scared, I'm really scared of losing you." Hector frowned and held her close to him, asking gently, "Eloise, tell me, did someone bully you? Or did someone say something to you?" Eloise shook her head and just sobbed.

Once she had stabilised a little, Hector forced her to look at herself squarely.

"Eloise, tell me what's going on, I'm your man, the one who can share your worries."

Looking at the reflection in Hector's eyes, Eloise once again cried without mercy.

However, she quickly adjusted herself and took a deep breath, as if she was making some kind of decision.

After a long time, Eloise spoke slowly, "If someday Solomon could have a more complete happiness, would you give it to him?"

Hector, somewhat unsure, buried his head in the crook of her neck and murmured, "Solomon and I are just about complete right now, Eloise, so don't think about it so much."

It was only after hearing his words that Eloise's heart took some comfort.

But she was still afraid of what would happen if she did lose it one day.

Hector noticed that she was still not in a very good mood and kissed her directly on the lips. Very seriously, he admonished, "Eloise, I want there to be nothing hidden between us, and no matter what happens, my heart will never change in loving you."

A few days later, Mrs Matriarch arranged a meeting between Hector and Juana.

Inside the cafe, Juana sits across from Hector, a little shy and a little nervous.

In her heart, she could not help but sigh that this man's aura was even more powerful than rumoured, and strengthened her desire to stay by Hector's side. She also felt a stronger desire to stay with Hector.

Juana was dressed up for the occasion and her face was covered in make-up.

But her intertwined hands betrayed her inner turmoil.

"Hector, this is Solomon's mother that I mentioned to you earlier."

Mrs Matriarch spoke first, breaking the silence in the air.

And with that, she passed Juana a look, signalling her to say hello to Hector.

Juana immediately took heart and smiled as she extended her hand to Hector. "Hi Hector, I'm Juana."

Hector ignored Juana's words and got straight to the point: "I don't like to be called that by strangers, we're not that familiar yet, and besides, my time is valuable."

Juana's hand was left hanging in the air for a moment, somewhat awkwardly.

"You said you were Solomon's mother, so do you know Solomon's blood type?" Hector frowned as he asked the first question.

He fixed Juana with a straight gaze, making Juana a little wary.

"When I gave birth to Solomon, Solomon was taken away from me, so I didn't know Solomon's blood type."

Juana said with tears streaming from the corners of her eyes, looking as if she was being coerced.

But Hector was unaffected by her and continued to press, "Don't babies always have heel blood taken when they are born? How could you not know that the mother would be the first to know?" Juana couldn't help but feel shocked and hastily explained, "I ... was too weak when I gave birth to Solomon to even look around."

"You said earlier that Solomon was taken from you after you were born, so who did you know, through, that Solomon was a child of the Rogers family?"

Juana was overwhelmed by Hector's aggressive words and managed to get by by playing dumb.

"Well, I've got the general idea of what's going on and now I need to do a paternity test to find out if you're telling the truth or not."

Juana's word is less than a third of what Hector believes, and although she is pretending to be more than the women before her, he is still not sure that the woman in front of him is Solomon's real mother. When she heard that the paternity test was going to be done, Juana's face froze and her hands shook a little, but she still pretended to be calm and said, "No problem, just set a time and I'll be there on time." Hector waved his hand and said coldly and soberly, "It won't be necessary for you to come forward personally, just a hair of your head will do."

Juana wanted to say a reason to refuse, but Hector's aura would not allow her to say no.

Had to pull off a hair and hand it to Hector.

After getting her hair, Hector left with Mrs Matriarch.

After they left, Juana also hurriedly grabbed her bag and returned to her place.

Then, called Agnes and told her about their meeting today.

Agnes reassured her not to worry and that she would take care of the rest.

After hanging up the phone, Juana was a bit skeptical. Even if Agnes was good at it, could she still steal the day?
